Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Device for holding a portable electronic device
[0001] The invention relates to the field of holding devices for portable electronic devices, in particular with a touch screen. The invention also relates to a dashboard with a holding device for a portable electronic device for a motor vehicle. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle.
[0002] In order to have a portable multimedia interface, a vehicle commonly has a device for holding a removable electronic device. The holding device, commonly referred to as a telephone holder, makes it possible to hold this removable electronic device in the field of vision of the driver or a passenger, by orienting the display screen towards the user.
[0003] Such a holding device must allow the device to be held in a firm position, but also to be clamped quickly. This function is ensured by a clamp mechanism which closes by manually bringing its jaws together. The release of the removable electronic device must also be ergonomic when the user wishes to retrieve it. This action is generally carried out by exerting a force to separate the jaws.
[0004] In certain cases, a user uses the telephone holder as a handle when entering the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. The user leans or pulls on the holding device and exerts a significant force. This force is likely to damage the telephone holder, for example tearing it off or damaging the moving parts. The force may be in the direction of the spreading force, or in the opposite direction.
[0005] Document WO2012 / 067029Al describes a telephone holder comprising a a moving jaw and a fixed jaw. The moving jaw is pushed towards the fixed jaw by a coil spring. The holder has a lower edge with a passage for the phone's charging cable, allowing the phone to be supported vertically in the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0006] Document DE102011109056Al presents a motor vehicle whose board dashboard is equipped with a phone holder. The phone holder has a deployable arm that translates to an extreme deployed position, and returns to a stowed position guided by a toothed wheel equipped with a brake. The deployable arm has a stop against which the phone is clamped. The toothed wheel has a spring allowing several positions of the deployable arm and a return of the deployable arm to its stowed position. The deployable arm extends vertically from a opening in the dashboard.
[0007] Document FR3108075A1 describes a telephone holder comprising a jaw mounted on a translating arm. The arm is returned to the retracted position by two helical springs guided in two axes. The holding elements facing one another comprise two hook-shaped holding surfaces, one being fixed and the other being movable.
[0008] Document US20190390692A1 describes a telephone holder with a jaw that is movable relative to another jaw that is fixed to it. Each of the jaws has a rubber contact area with the telephone.
[0009] Document FR3005617A1 presents a device for supporting a portable electronic device for a vehicle, the device comprising: - a fixed frame, secured to a structural element of the vehicle; - a drawer; - a connection of the drawer to the frame arranged such that the drawer is movable relative to the frame between a storage position and a position of use of the electronic device. The connection determines a sliding movement between the storage and use positions; in the use position, a volume of use is delimited at least partially by the frame and the drawer, the device being held in the volume of use by a first and a second stop member coming into contact with the device at at least two opposite points thereof and urged towards each other by at least one elastic member. This device is user-friendly.
[0010] However, some foreign bodies, such as coins, are likely to enter the device. Furthermore, in the absence of the electronic device, the device is subject to certain vibrations. The entry of dust prematurely wears out the pinion mechanism. These aspects are detrimental to the perceived quality.
[0011] The invention aims to address at least one of the problems or drawbacks encountered in the prior art. In particular, the invention aims to improve the perceived quality of a holding device. According to one option of the invention, the first elastic barrier touches the second elastic barrier.
[0095] It is understood that in use, when the junction 62 translates along the slot 34, and therefore the notch 72, each elastic barrier 52 moves apart locally. After passing the junction 62, the elastic barrier 52 returns to its initial position due to its elastic property. Thus, the closing of the slot is ensured regardless of the position of the junction 62.
[0096] The element 50 comprises one or more fastening cutouts 74. The fastening cutouts 74 comprise fastening holes and fastening grooves. The fastening holes are surrounded by the contour of the element 50, and the fastening grooves extend from the contour of the element 50. Each fastening cutout 74 is spaced from the slot 34. Each fastening cutout 74 is associated with, and / or is traversed by, one of the retaining tabs.
[0097] Preferably, the or each retaining tab is formed on the front wall. Alternatively, the or each retaining tab is formed on the fixing portion.
[0098] The at least one elastic barrier 52 comprises at least one elastic lip. Each elastic lip is continuous along the slot 34 opposing foreign bodies. The junction is able to slide against each elastic lip. Each elastic lip has a profiled shape. Its shape is generated by an identical profile along the slot. This aspect improves the closing of the slot.
[0099] The elastic barrier 52, and therefore the element 50, comprises a rubbery material. The elastic barrier 52 comprises elastomer; preferably, the elastic barrier 52 comprises ethylene-propylene-diene monomer, also referred to by the acronym “EPDM”. The elastomeric material exhibits viscoelastic behavior. This aspect improves the reduction of vibrations of the junction.
[0100] According to one embodiment, the element comprises a single elastic lip extending over the entire width of the slot. The width of the slot is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the junction.
[0101] According to a preferred embodiment, the front wall is made of a plastic or composite material. The plastic material may comprise a thermoplastic material or a thermosetting material. According to a preferred embodiment, the plastic material is selected from the group comprising polypropylene, polyamide, polyphthalamide, polyetheretherketone, polyphenylene sulfide, polyamide-imide, polyetherimide, polyarylamide, polyepoxide, unsaturated polyester, vinylester or polyester-vinylester resins. For example, the composite material comprises a matrix of a plastic material as described above with a reinforcement. For example, the reinforcement comprises glass or carbon fibers.
[0102] The front wall comprises at least 10% by weight of recycled plastic material based on the total weight of the plastic material; preferably from 10 to 80% by weight; more preferably from 20 to 60% by weight or from 30 to 40% by weight. The use of recycled plastic material reduces the ecological footprint of the vehicle.
[0103] According to one embodiment, the first holding member and the second holding member comprise the same material as the front wall.
[0104] According to an alternative of the invention, the at least one elastic barrier comprises at least one brush seal, in particular with bristles perpendicular to the slot.
[0105] The invention comprises the combination of all the embodiments illustrated by all the figures.
