[0001] Preamble of precedence: Human beings have always sought to have points of reference to know what time of day or night it was, using the position of the stars at night and the shadow of the trees during the day, which gave them the idea of inventing sundials; much later clocks appeared with mechanisms providing greater precision in reading the time, which was generally indicated by equal divisions throughout the year, in hours and minutes.
[0002] Noting that this brilliant invention did not take into account the seasonal variations modifying the luminosity provided by the sun, a process was put in place over the last 5 decades which consists of adding 1 hour to the legal winter time at the time of the arrival of spring, then removing it in the autumn period to readjust to the legal winter time, it is mainly in the spring, at the time of the addition of an hour, that this process brings its share of disturbances to the living and industrial world, then also in autumn, with a lesser feeling, but always disturbing.
[0003] This old process needs to evolve with the times to make way for a new process capable of following the variations in solar luminosity and making us forget half a century of discontent, hence the presence of a problem still unresolved to this day, it is therefore now possible to provide a solution better adapted to this problem which consists of following the natural curves of solar luminosity as detailed below in the description.
[0004] According to the invention, a new method for applying summer time is characterized by respecting the basic data required during its creation, which are: The application periods, then the time of one hour to be added for a period of time to the legal winter time and then removed to return to the legal winter time; this new method will use for its application the existing technology currently responsible for controlling the broadcasting of time by terrestrial radio waves, emitted in signals by transmitters and received mainly by new technologies, such as radio-controlled and connected clocks and watches, GPS, computers, smartphones and other devices for programming time.
[0005] The invention is characterized by a modification of the still existing programming located upstream of the transmitters, this will be carried over to a new time value to be emitted, the frequency of the emissions, as well as the duration in time of these emissions.
[0006] One of the basic characteristics of this new process is to preserve the time represented by summer time, i.e. 60 minutes which will no longer be added or removed in one block, but which will be progressively spread over a period of time long enough to obtain an imperceptible application of summer time.
[0007] Mathematically, for example, the 60 minutes that summer time represents seem ideally to be able to be distributed over 60 days, giving a time value of 1 minute which will be transmitted at a frequency of 1 minute per 24 hours over a period of 60 days. It is this time value, this daily frequency with this number of days which will be included in the new programming of the transmitters.
[0008] This duration of 60 days will be applied over a first period to distribute the time value of one hour by daily advance of one minute, then applied again over a second period of 60 days for the subtraction of the time advanced during the first period.
[0009] This advance will reduce the length of the day by one minute, which will now only count: 23 hours and 59 minutes.
[0010] After this period which will have allowed the gradual implementation of the one-hour shift on the legal winter time, the duration of this shift will continue for several months during which the brightness provided by sunshine will be exploited to its maximum, then the reduction in this sunshine will appear.
[0011] From this moment on, the new summer time application process will implement the second period of 60 days, in order to subtract daily the time that had been brought forward previously.
[0012] During this second period of 60 days, the 60 minutes which had been brought forward in the first period will be subtracted at the rate of 1 minute per day, the days of this second period will therefore be lengthened by 1 minute, i.e. days lasting 24 hours 1 minute.
[0013] Between this second period and the first period of the following year, a period with low winter sunshine will be interposed, this period will operate in winter legal time and these days will have a duration of 24 hours.
[0014] The application of the new frequency of the signals, which will be emitted daily for 60 days, will be done at night, no longer as previously at 02:00mn precisely, but at 02:02mn allowing to go directly by the addition of a minute from 02:02mn to 02:03mn, then, during the period to subtract a minute daily, the transmission signal will be done at the moment of displaying 2h 02mn while maintaining the display of 02:01mn for the duration of the minute (that of subtraction); after which the display on 02:02mn may appear.
[0015] The desire to adopt the application of transmitting signals on the minutes following 02:00 is here desired in the context of the security to be applied according to the various receiving technologies used, including those not programmed in minutes and which will be precisely programmed on 02:00 are not technically disturbed and thus avoid the malfunctions which appeared with the old method.
[0016] The new method, according to the invention, being mainly characterized by wanting to provide a flexible and imperceptible application of summer time, the cycle of this application can begin on February 1st with a first period of 60 days during the change of seasons, winter, spring; this period will be followed by another stable period of 5 months during the best sunshine of the year; the second period of 60 days can begin on September 1st at the time of the summer-autumn season change and will gradually subtract the minutes previously advanced in order to return to legal winter time, without following at the beginning of November and for 3 months, the expectation of a future cycle identical to the previous one and this renewed from year to year.
[0017] The new method according to the invention, characterized by a new programming, including the dates of the application period which could, for example, in the future be brought forward or delayed depending on possible climatic variations which could modify the solar luminosity ranges.

Claims
1. This invention, characterized by a new method improving the addition of 1 hour to the legal winter time, will be obtained by modifying the programming located upstream of the radio wave transmission system, equipping the stations responsible for controlling the legal time, this new programming will be based on: a new time value, the frequency of transmissions of this value, the period of the year to be transmitted in addition, the period of the year where it will be subtracted to return to the legal winter time and the time at which the transmission must be made.

This new method, according to claim 1, characterized by a new time value, this will be obtained by dividing the old value of one hour, i.e. 60 min to arrive at a reduced value offering the possibility of being distributed and able to provide the desired imperceptibility, the most reduced value being obtained by the current value divided by itself, the result obtained gives the new time value, i.e. 60 min divided by 60 min, equal to 1 minute (new time value).
3. The new method according to claims 1 and 2 characterized by a frequency of emission of the new time value of 1 minute, this will be emitted at the rate of a single daily signal thus making it possible to know the duration of application which results from it, i.e. summer time comprising 60 minutes divided by 1 daily minute, the duration of the emission will be 60 times a day.

The new method according to claims 1, 2 and 3, characterized by a period of the year during which the implementation of 1 daily minute will begin to be added to the legal time for 60 days, this period will begin on February 1 of each year, then, after 60 days, will begin the period of application of summer time which will be 1 hour ahead of winter legal time.

The new method according to claims 1 and 4 characterized by a period of application of summer time during which 60 minutes had been added; these will now be subtracted over a period of 60 days at a rate of 1 minute per day, this period will begin on September 1 of each year and will end 60 days later, followed by a short period of 3 months with naturally low sunshine, during which the time winter legal day will be reinstated with days lasting 24 hours.

The new method, according to all of the preceding claims, 1, 2 3, 4 and 5 characterized by a modification of the previous programming upstream of the transmitters, this programming will have to take into account the precise moment of the emission of the signal by waves to be picked up by all the receivers using legal time, the precise moment of this emission for the period of addition of time will be done at the passage of 02h02mn and will directly display 02h03mn, likewise for the period of subtraction of the advanced minutes, the precise moment of the operation will be done at 02h02mn, but at the moment of passing to 02h02mn the indication of 02h01mn will still be maintained for one minute;It is as a safety measure for sectors using clocks not programmable in minutes that this measure is adopted to prevent clocks programmed to 02:00 am from still being exposed to the disturbances caused by the old process, hence the need for this safety margin.;
7. The new method according to claims 1, 4 and 5 characterized by periods of application of the new programming going from date to date, these will be able to benefit in the future from a certain flexibility depending on possible climatic variations which could modify the sunshine ranges.
