Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Locking device for a roller shutter box
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of locking devices for a roller shutter box.
[0002] In the above-mentioned field, roller shutter boxes are known to comprise a box defining an internal volume suitable for at least partially housing the rolled-up roller shutter and brackets placed at each end of the box for closing it. Generally, at least one bracket has a side panel intended to house means for operating the roller shutter curtain.
[0003] As is known, the brackets are fixed directly to the housing by means of screws. However, existing housings have the drawback of not closing properly, leaving gaps or spaces that compromise security. A faulty closure allows unsafe access to the bracket or the internal mechanisms of the housing, increasing the risk of damage or unauthorized tampering. These are essential components of the roller shutter and must be handled with care.
[0004] In addition, poorly closed or poorly designed boxes can compromise the thermal and acoustic insulation of the entire roller shutter.
[0005] External security systems are sometimes put in place, but these systems are complicated to install and visually unattractive, especially if they are bulky or poorly integrated into the design of the facade or wall.
[0006] In order to overcome these drawbacks, the invention proposes a simple and inexpensive locking device for a roller shutter box.
[0007] The invention relates to a locking device for a roller shutter box comprising at least an upper part of a box defining an internal volume suitable for at least partially accommodating the roller shutter and at least one bracket located at the end of the upper part of the box.
[0008] According to the invention, the locking device comprises means for retaining the upper part of the trunk on the console and means for locking these retaining means. The means for retaining the upper part of the trunk on the console allow the upper part of the trunk to move from a free position to a retained position. The locking means for these retaining means allow the upper part of the trunk on the console to move from a retained position to a locked position.
[0009] Advantageously, the locking device according to the invention can be used for the two opposite brackets closing the upper part of the roller shutter box on each side.
[0010] According to one feature of the invention, an inner wall of the upper part of the chest comprises a recessed counter-form adapted to receive a projecting form of the console. The projecting form of the console collaborates with the recessed counter-form of the upper part of the chest to form means for retaining the upper part of the chest on the console.
[0011] According to one feature of the invention, the protruding shape comprises at least one deformable tab, and the recessed counter-shape comprises a dimension smaller than the protruding shape. The implementation of a deformable tab allows the protruding shape of the bracket to deform to enter the recessed counter-shape of the upper part of the box, which is smaller in size, and to return to its original shape or be held under compression to form the means for securing the upper part of the box to the bracket.
[0012] According to one feature of the invention, the console comprises a recessed area carrying the protruding shape, and the upper part of the box comprises a lip carrying the counter-mold. The inclusion of a recessed area and a lip allows for easy arrangement of the means for securing the upper part of the box to the console. Furthermore, the inclusion of a lip creates a space behind the counter-mold in which the protruding shape of the console can regain its form after deformation during passage through the counter-mold.
[0013] Advantageously the recessed area includes a profile which follows the external contoured shape of the rim so that the two parts are in contact on their respective edges and do not have gaps once assembled.
[0014] According to one feature of the invention, the locking means comprise a locking member adapted to fit between the upper part of the trunk and the console. In this embodiment, the locking member is a locking key for the means of securing the upper part of the trunk to the console.
[0015] Advantageously, with this system for retaining and locking the upper part of the trunk on the console, no part or shape, such as a screw head of the boss in the trunk, comes into excess thickness on the rear outer part of the trunk.
[0016] According to one embodiment of the invention, the locking device further comprises a cover adapted to be positioned on the console, the cover carrying the locking means for the means of retaining the upper part of the trunk on the console. Positioning the locking means on a cover intended to be positioned on the console allows the upper part of the trunk to be locked onto the console without the need for additional parts.
[0017] According to one feature of the invention, the protruding shape comprises at least one deformable tab, and the locking member is adapted to prevent deformation of the tab in the locked position of the upper part of the trunk on the console. The tab is thus adapted to deform, initially, to cooperate with the counter-form of the upper part, and subsequently, the locking member is put in place to block the tab(s) and thus prevent further deformation.
[0018] Of course, the different features, variants and embodiments of the invention can be combined with each other in various ways insofar as they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive.
[0019] In addition, various other features of the invention become apparent from the attached description made with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting embodiments of the invention and where:

[0026] It should be noted that in these figures the structural and / or functional elements common to the different variants may have the same references.
[0027] The invention aims to provide a holding and locking system for the upper part of a roller shutter box.
[0028] For these purposes, a locking device designated by reference numeral 1, as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, comprises at least an upper portion 2 of a housing defining an internal volume suitable for accommodating, at least in part, the roller shutter curtain (not shown). According to the illustrated embodiment, only the upper portion 2 of the housing is shown; a housing compatible with the locking device 1 according to the invention may also comprise other parts connected to the upper portion 2.
[0029] The terms "upper part", "lower", "upper", "top" and "bottom" are relative to the orthogonal plane X,Y,Z as it appears in [Fig. 1]. The upper part 2 of the chest extends along the longitudinal direction Y.
[0030] A bracket 3 is located at the end of the upper part 2 of the housing. The bracket 3 is intended to support the elements relating to the mechanisms of the roller shutter (not shown here), such as a side plate intended to house the means for operating the curtain. The bracket 3 therefore comprises a main surface in the X,Z plane oriented towards the interior volume of the housing and a lateral surface in the Y,Z plane intended to be opposite an interior wall of the upper part 2 of the housing.
[0031] According to the illustrated embodiment, the console 3 also includes a leg 4 intended to collaborate with a slide (not shown) of the roller shutter arrangement.
[0032] According to the illustrated embodiment, the upper part 2 of the roller shutter box includes a hairpin rim 5 formed by a 180° fold of a lower longitudinal edge perpendicular to the main surface of the console 3. The hairpin rim 5 includes a cutout forming a recessed counterform 6 located towards the free end of the upper part 2 of the box at the location intended to be opposite the lateral surface of the console 3.
[0033] According to the embodiment illustrated in [Fig. 2], the counterform 6 comprises a rectangular cutout. Other cutout shapes for the counterform 6, such as an oval, polygonal, or freeform shape, are compatible within the scope of the invention.
[0034] The console 3 includes a recessed area 7 on its lateral surface intended to be opposite the inner wall of the upper part 2 of the trunk. The recessed area 7 is a longitudinal indentation in the lateral face of the console 3. The recessed area 7 has a height substantially equal to or greater than the height of the lip 5 so that the recessed area 7 receives the lip 5.
[0035] The recessed area 7 carries a shape 8 adapted to collaborate with the counter-shape 6 of the upper part 2 of the chest. The location of the shape 8 on the lateral surface of the console 3 coincides with the location of the counter-shape 6 on the inner wall of the upper part 2 when the console 3 is arranged in the upper part 2 of the chest.
[0036] According to a first embodiment of a shape 8 illustrated in figures 1 to 4, the shape 8 comprises two tabs 9 capable of deforming.
[0037] The two tabs 9 have an L-shaped profile. The two tabs 9 comprise a first section which projects outwards in the direction X from the lateral surface of the console 3. The two tabs 9 comprise a second section extending from the first section in the direction Z. The second sections of the tabs 9 extend in opposite directions away from each other.
[0038] The material of the tabs 9 is designed to be flexible or deformable, enabling it to adapt to external pressures or forces without breaking. The second sections of the tabs 9 can deform.
[0039] The locking device 1 according to the illustrated embodiment also includes a cover 10 for covering the console 3. The cover 10 is placed on the console 3 for example by means of guide elements IL. Other means of placing and fixing the cover 10 on the console 3 are compatible within the scope of the invention.
[0040] According to the invention, the cover 10 includes a locking member 15 intended to collaborate with the additional holding means of the console 3 and the upper part 2 of the chest.
[0041] According to other embodiments not illustrated, the locking member 15 is an independent element.
[0042] According to this first illustrated embodiment, the locking member 15 includes a projecting element 16 adapted to slide between the two tabs 9 so as to prevent them from deforming by keeping the second sections of the tabs 9 apart.
[0043] Figures 5 and 6 illustrate a second example of the realization of complementary support means for the console 3 and the upper part 2 of the chest.
[0044] According to this second embodiment, the counterform 6 of the upper part 2 comprises a rectangular opening in which two re-entrant edges 20, upper and lower, have been removed on one side of the rectangle. The two re-entrant edges 20 are rectangular in shape, the counterform 6 thus having a T-shape with a 90° clockwise rotation.
[0045] According to this second embodiment, the shape 8 of the console 3 is complementary to the counter-shape 6. The shape 8 comprises a base provided with two deformable tabs 21. The two tabs 21 extend parallel from the base in the longitudinal direction Y.
[0046] The gap between the two tabs 21 corresponds approximately to the distance separating the two re-entrant edges 20 of the counterform 6.
[0047] According to this second illustrated embodiment, the locking member 15 comprises a substantially rectangular shape adapted to slide into the re-entrant edge 5 of the upper part behind the tabs 21 so as to hold them in place and prevent them from deforming.
[0048] To implement the first illustrated embodiment of a locking device 1 according to the invention, the upper part 2 of the chest is placed on the console 2 so as to move from a free position to a maintained position.
[0049] To do this, the tabs 9 in contact with the edges of the counterform 6 are deformed so as to make the form 8 fit into the counterform 6.
[0050] In the maintained position, the upper part 2 of the trunk is blocked in translation along the longitudinal direction Y and in translation along the direction X, namely towards the rear of the trunk.
[0051] The cover 10 is then placed on the console 3 and the locking member 15 is inserted into the lip 5 of the upper part 2 of the trunk. The protruding element 16 is thus positioned between the two tabs 9 of the shape 8. The tabs 9 can then no longer deform and the trunk is in the locked position.
[0052] Advantageously, the locking of the tabs 9 also prevents the rearward movement of the trunk which would require a pulling force on the tabs 9.
[0053] To implement the second illustrated embodiment of a locking device according to the invention, the upper part 2 of the chest is placed on the console 2 so as to move from a free position to a maintained position.
[0054] To do this, the tabs 21 in contact with the re-entrant edges 20 of the counterform 6 are deformed so as to go around them to make the form 8 fit into the counterform 6. The tabs 21 regain shape between the rim 5 and the inner wall of the upper part 2 of the chest.
[0055] In the maintained position, the upper part 2 of the trunk is blocked in translation along the longitudinal direction Y and in translation along the direction X, namely towards the rear of the trunk.
[0056] The cover 10 is then placed on the console 3 and the locking member 15 is inserted into the lip 5 of the upper part 2 of the trunk. The locking member 15 presses the tabs 21 against the inner wall of the lip 5. The tabs 21 can then no longer deform and the trunk is in the locked position.
[0057] Advantageously, the locking of the tabs 21 also prevents the rearward movement of the trunk which would require a pulling force on the tabs 21.
[0058] Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention within the scope of the annexed claims.
