SUNSCREEN COSMETIC COMPOSITION WITH IMPROVED EFFECTIVENESS

Abstract

The invention relates to a cosmetic sunscreen composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, suitable for topical application to the skin, comprising, with percentages expressed by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, 25% to 65% water, at least two liposoluble organic sunscreens, a mixture of cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate in a concentration of 2% or less, at least one emulsifier in a concentration equal to or greater than that of the component with the higher concentration of cetearyl olivate or sorbitan olivate in the cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate mixture, and at least one oily emollient, said composition being free of dibutyl adipate, homosalate, mineral filters, and volatile silicones. This composition offers improved SPF with the same quantity of UV filters, without compromising its texture or sensory qualities.
