Abstract

A functionalized material characterized in that it comprises a first layer of leather, a second layer, and at least one sheet comprising a conductive metal, the at least one sheet being cut or engraved to form at least one electronic component or to form at least one conductive trace electrically connecting at least one electronic component, wherein said sheet is intercalated between the first leather layer and the second leather layer, and wherein said first and second layers are bonded together so as to encapsulate the at least one sheet comprising a conductive metal.
