Abstract
Description
Field of the Invention: The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic devices and, more specifically, to a facial wrinkle correction device designed to address and eliminate wrinkles around the face, particularly in areas such as the comers of the eyes, mouth, and forehead, resulting in a lifted and more youthful appearance. Background of the Invention: As individuals age, the skin gradually loses elasticity, leading to the development of facial lines commonly known as "wrinkles." These wrinkles are often associated with middle-age and are considered undesirable. Various methods have been developed to address facial wrinkles, including surgical procedures, laser therapies, and temporary solutions such as Botox injections and facial stretching tools. Surgical procedures involve cutting the facial skin with a scalpel, but they come with associated risks and potential complications, such as damage to facial nerves and infection. Laser therapies can result in skin discolouration, burning, and scarring. Botox injections, although temporary, can be painful, and patients may experience bruising, droopy eyelids, headaches, neck pain, nausea, and potential tolerance development over time. Additionally, these treatments are often costly. Facial stretching tools have been used as a semi-permanent alternative and are typically fixed to the head using clips or tape. However, existing tools have limitations. For example, bands with clips attached to the hair above the ears may lack sufficient grip on fine hair, rendering the tool ineffective in lifting the face. Other tools involving clear sticky tape are limited to single-use and leave a visible mark on the face, which may be undesirable for users who wish to conceal the fact that they are using a facial stretching tool. Summary of the Invention: The present invention provides an improved facial wrinkle correction device that lifts the face, smooths out fine lines, and remains hidden beneath natural hair. The device offers sufficient grip and pressure, is cost-effective, reusable, and can be easily attached and removed. In one embodiment, the facial wrinkle correction device comprises a pair of left and right hooks and an elasticated band intermediate section connecting the hooks. The hooks are designed to pass through plaits or small ponytails formed in the hair, near the temporal regions of the face. By attaching the hooks securely within the plaits, the device lifts the face, providing a more youthful complexion. The hooks engage with the plaits or ponytails and the band, ensuring a secure attachment. In a preferred embodiment, the first end of the device features a hook that extends into a band, providing grip and preventing the hook from sliding out of the plait. The attachment can be easily removed due to the elasticity of the band. The distal end of the device also features a hook, and the elasticated band intermediate section extends into this hook. The device is thus held in place between the first end and the distal end, providing a semi-permanent attachment that can be readily removed by stretching the band. The facial wrinkle correction device can be used with various hairstyles, including hair down and hair up styles, as long as they support the attachment system. The size and shape of the device can be modified to accommodate different head sizes, and the elasticated intermediate section can be adjustable in length. The device's components, including the hooks, can be made of suitable materials such as metal, plastic, or wood, ensuring a soft structure with adequate strength and minimal increase in weight. The intermediate section may consist of elastic, wool, rubber, plastic, or stretchy cotton, providing an elasticated and soft structure with sufficient strength and pressure. Figures: Figure 1: The facial stretching tool depicted in this figure represents an embodiment of the present invention. It showcases a pair of left and right hooks (1, 2) designed to engage with the user's hair. Each hook is ergonomically shaped and includes a curved portion that facilitates secure attachment to the hair strands. The hooks are positioned strategically to target specific areas for facial wrinkle correction. An elasticated band (3) is incorporated into the device, connecting the hooks and providing tension for the stretching process. This configuration enables the device to provide effective and comfortable facial wrinkle correction. Figure 2: This illustration portrays a user with half of their hair elegantly clipped up in a bun (6), revealing the device attached to a plait (4) located near the temple region of the user's head. The plait serves as an anchor point for the device. By inserting the hook (1) into the plait and securing it with the pressure from the band (3), the device successfully lifts the face and corrects wrinkles around the corner of the eyes and mouth. The user's hair effectively conceals the device, ensuring its discreteness while in use. Figure 3: This frontal view presents the device positioned beneath the user's head of hair. The hooks (1, 2) are securely fastened to plaits (4, 5) on both sides of the head, near the temple region. The plaits are carefully selected locations to provide optimal support for the device. The pressure exerted by the band (3) maintains the hooks in place along with the plaits (4), effectively pulling the skin back around the temples. As a result, wrinkles around the corner of the eyes and mouth are significantly reduced, contributing to a more youthful appearance. The device remains discreetly hidden beneath the user's hair, allowing for uninterrupted use without drawing attention. Figure 4: In this rear view, the device is depicted beneath the user's head of hair, with the band (3) extending across the head. The device is designed to be versatile and adaptable to different hair types and styles. It remains concealed by the natural hair, ensuring that its presence is not visible to others. The band (3) applies gentle and consistent tension, which helps maintain the positioning and effectiveness of the device throughout use. The user can confidently engage in various activities without concern for the device becoming visible or causing discomfort. Please note that the figures provided in the description represent alternate forms of the facial stretching device according to the invention. The details and components depicted in the figures can be modified and adapted within the scope of the claims, while still maintaining the essence and functionality of the invention. These figures are intended to illustrate the principles of the invention and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the invention. Various modifications and variations are possible, all of which are within the scope and spirit of the invention.
