Hand applicator of encapsulated liquids

A hand applicator of encapsulated liquids, such as cosmetic, hygienic, and pharmaceutical formulations or household chemicals, of different viscosity. When the user squeezes the applicator in her hand, the capsule inside it ruptures, possibly with a clap, and releases a liquid that after being collected by the drain passes through the perforated dissector to get evenly distributed in the absorber and then evenly applied on skin or other surfaces. Inert and impermeable capsules ensure stability of stored liquid formulations. Pressurized capsules are easily tactilely located and crashed. A capsule may be permanently or elastically fixed within the applicator. The applicator may include several capsules that may contain different liquids. A refillable applicator can be refilled with new capsules and used more than once. A transparent impermeable back side the applicator enhances hygiene and creates visibility of the capsule. An impervious glove-applicator for applying hazardous substances is disclosed.

Systems and methods for managing discussion threads based on ratings

System and method for removing threads from discussion groups based on ratings of the individual posts within the thread. If a user takes the time to rate a post positively, then the post (and the thread) is considered to be useful to the entire community and should not be deleted. To rate the post, a window is displayed to the user whenever the post is open and queries the user whether the post is useful. A positive rating rates a delete date associated with the post. If there is not positive rating of a post, the thread may be considered useful if the originator of a post marks the post as being answered, in which case delete clock is reset. If however, none of the posts within the thread are rated positively, then the thread is considered not be useful and deleted.

Method for treating skin and underlying tissue

A method for treating a tissue site couples an energy delivery surface of an electromagnetic energy delivery device with a skin surface. An underlying tissue area beneath the skin surface is created. The cooling creates a reverse thermal gradient, where a temperature of the skin surface is less than a temperature of the underlying tissue area. Energy is delivered from the energy delivery device to the underlying tissue area. The energy delivery modifies the underlying tissue area and decreases irregularities of the skin surface.

System and method for medical monitoring and treatment through cosmetic monitoring and treatment

A system and method that scans areas of a human body to identify unattractive characteristics and make cosmetic enhancements is modified for medical monitoring and optionally for treatment. A 3-D model of the exterior surface of the human body is created, and the scanned data is analyzed by characteristics of reflectance and surface topology to identify unhealthy characteristics. Because people will use a cosmetics system widely and frequently, base lines of patients' conditions can be created through frequent monitoring over a long time period, so that potentially dangerous changes from the base line can identified quickly and reported on. When appropriate, precise applications of medications to treat affected areas may be made automatically. Controlled and precisely directed dosages of medications may be applied to reduce the risk of undesirable side effects. Medicines may also be applied over a large area of skin and during a long period of time to achieve desired treatments.
