A vial adapter having a needle-free valve, a sharpened cannula used to perforate a vial's rubber stopper, and a circular array of claws of different lengths to engage vial closures of different diameters. The array of claws includes a first set of claws each having a first length extending inwardly from the periphery of the housing of the adapter and a second set of claws alternating with the first set of claws and each having a longer length. The second set of claws are mounted so that they deflect and plastically deform out of the way in the case where the adapter is engaged with a vial that exceeds a predetermined size. The housing includes a shroud that is at least as long as the sharpened cannula to protect medical personnel who use the adapter from inadvertent punctures. The needle-free valve includes a resiliently deformable piston element with a naturally open bore. The interior of the piston provides a fluid flow path through the adapter. In one embodiment, the first set of claws of the adapter may be used with a vial closure of at approximately 20 mm in diameter and the second set of claws may be used with a vial closure of approximately 13 to 17 mm in diameter.

A polymer composition comprises at least an ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer and at least one other polymer. The other polymer can be selected from a second ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer, an elastomer, a polyolefin, a polar polymer, and an ethylene/carboxylic acid interpolymer or ionomer thereof. The ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer is a block copolymer having at least a hard block and at least a soft block. The soft block comprises a higher amount of comonomers than the hard block. The block interpolymer has a number of unique characteristics disclosed here. Also provided are gaskets, bottle cap liners, and closures that comprise or obtained from a compositon comprising at least one ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer and at least one polyolefin. The gaskets are capable of compression sealing various containers, without contaminating the contents. Liquid containers particularly benefit from the use of the novel gasket materials disclosed herein.

A travel case for transporting insulin is provided with an outer bottle with an outer bottle cap, an inner bottle with an inner bottle cap, fins, and a means to thermally insulate the outer bottle. The inner bottle is located within the outer bottle. The fins are attached to and protrude radially from the inner bottle, thus acting to keep the inner bottle centrally located within and relative to the outer bottle, as well as to keep the inner bottle in a substantially upright position within the outer bottle. The inner bottle is adapted to receive one or more bottles of insulin. In use, ice is added to the outer bottle between the fins, the ice acting as a heat sink to keep the insulin bottles cold within the inner bottle.

This present invention is for new user-friendly electronic reminder devices that convert regular conventional bottles into reminder bottles. The reminder device is compatible and can be retrofitted inside a regular conventional bottle cap. This reminder device is installed inside the conventional bottle between the bottle cap and the bottle container. When the user closes the bottle cap on the bottle container, the electronic timer, with predetermined time interval, is automatically activated. That activated timer will generate alert signals to remind the user to take his/hers next dose at time-out. The reminder device and alert signals are automatically deactivated and reset when the user opens the bottle cap (to take contents from the bottle container). This present reminder device works with both conventional safety (childproof) and non-safety bottle caps.

An electronic device case is described. The case includes a shell portion being sized and shaped for at least partially encasing a portable electronic device, and a bottle opener positioned within at least a portion of the shell. The shell includes a length suitable for providing leverage when applying a force to remove a bottle cap from a bottle when the bottle opener engages the bottle cap.

A cap includes a plunger member including a cavity portion integral therewith and extending downwardly therefrom. The cavity portion is capable of containing additive therein and includes a lower portion having an opening for dispensing the additive into the container. A spring member is preferably disposed between the cavity portion and a neck portion and becomes compressed when the plunger member is moved towards a down position. A polymer composition comprises at least an ethylene/α-oleiln interpolymer and at least one other polymer. The other polymer can be selected from a second ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer, an elastomer, a polyolefin, a polar polymer, and an ethylene/carboxylic acid interpolymer or ionomer thereof. The ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer is a block copolymer having at least a hard block and at least a soft block. The soft block comprises a higher amount of comonomers than the hard block. Also provided are gaskets, bottle cap liners, and closures that comprise or obtained from a compositon comprising at least one ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer and at least one polyolefin. A cap assembly includes a base member having a tube and a rod. A cap member has an outer engaging tube and an inner engaging tube. A top plate is connected on two respective top ends of the outer engaging tube and the inner engaging tube. The inner engaging tube is inserted into an annular gap between the rod and an inner periphery of the tube and, the rod movably seals an outlet defined in the cap member. A first flange extends from an inner periphery of the outer engaging tube and is stopped by a top flange extending radially outward from a top end of the tube to prevent the cap member from being disengaged from the tube. A cover is mounted on the base member and is connected with the cap member so that users can simply open the cover to pull the cap member upward.

A bottle closure is disclosed to include a muzzle fastened to and covered on the bottle neck of a bottle, a cap hinged to the periphery of the muzzle for closing on the muzzle to seal the bottle neck of the bottle, the cap having an operating structure for gripping by the user's hand to turn the cap relative to the muzzle between a close position and an open position, and a seal tearably connected to the muzzle to seal the operating structure of the cap.

The invention discloses a filling capping device comprising a rotary disk component, a filling component, a cap pressing component and a screw capping component. The rotary disk component comprises a rotary disk and a pneumatic division plate which is used for driving the rotary disk to intermittently rotate; the filling component comprises a liquid injection needle, a liquid feeding pipe and a liquid injection lifting cylinder for driving the liquid injection needle to move up and down; the cap pressing component comprises a storage barrel, a transverse push cylinder and a cap pressing cylinder for pushing downwards a bottle cap to be added pushed by the transverse push cylinder; and the screw capping component comprises a screw capping motor, a screw capping lifting cylinder for driving the screw capping motor to move up and down and a rotating sleeve arranged at the free end of the screw capping motor, and a screw capping core arranged in the rotating sleeve. The filling capping device has a simple structure and is low in equipment cost; as the rotary disk is adopted to convey bottles, the volume of the entire device is reduced and subsequently the occupied area of the device is reduced; the filling capping device can be used for teaching demonstration; and furthermore, the space utilization rate of a workshop is improved.

A closure for removably sealing a container and for attaching to external articles having an external hooking device. The closure includes a container cap configured to removably engage the container and having a strip engaging portion formed proximate an end of the cap. The closure includes an attachment member that has a resilient hooking strip extending from the lid to define a hooking aperture therebetween. The attachment member has a cap engaging portion formed adjacent an end thereof and releasably engaged to the strip engaging portion. The engaging portions are configured such that the cap engaging portion is releasable from engagement by applying disengaging force upon any portion of the hooking strip.

A bottle cap is disclosed which can be formed from a minimized number parts with a reduced cost. A bottom lid is molded integrally at a lower end of an inner tubular portion of a cap body with a cut formed therebetween and has unsealing projections formed in a projecting manner thereon. When the cap body is turned in a sealing direction to insert the inner tubular portion into a mouth of a bottle, the unsealing projections are closed by the bottle mouth and are engaged with a throat portion in the bottle when it passes the throat portion. Then, when the cap body is turned in an unsealing direction to pull out the inner tubular portion from the bottle mouth, the unsealing projections are blocked from upward movement by the throat portion, whereupon the bottom lid is separated at the cut from the lower end of the inner tubular portion and raw material in the inner tubular portion is discharged into the bottle.

For closing bottles with sterile caps, the caps are placed in a non-sterile environment in a vertical arrangement and are supplied vertically to a first sterile area. The interior of the caps is arranged to be accessible horizontally. The caps are sterilized in the first sterile area and transferred to a second sterile area where the caps are placed onto bottles. Subsequently, the bottle is closed with the cap. The machine for sterile closing of bottles with caps has a sterilization device with an individualization device for picking up caps and a vertical transport path feeding the caps to the sterilization chamber.
