A bio-disc drive assembly is employed to rotate the disc, read and process any encoded information, and analyze the samples in the flow channel of the bio-disc.

The RFID tags may contain information such as the number of items left in the hopper, a par level for that item, an expiration date, among others. When inactive, the disc is fixed to allow maximum air flow. In flutter mode, the disc continuously rotates so that the air flow rapidly alternates between maximum and minimum.

A system and method for measuring the fly height of a head flying over a disc in a disc drive is disclosed. A head is vertically spaced from a rotating disc surface by an air bearing surface. Refiner disc and method

A refiner disc and segment for a rotary disc fiber refiner which has a plurality of radial fields each having an angular extent no greater than 30° and preferably no greater than 22° for reducing the amplitude and duration of load swings that take place during pumping and holdback cycles. Each field has a refining zone with a refiner groove and a refiner bar and a second zone disposed radially outwardly of the refining zone that changes the direction of flow of stock to reduce stock flow momentum and magnitude of the load swings. Each field can have a third zone radially outward of the second zone that further changes the direction of flow of stock and an infeed zone radially inwardly of the refining zone. If desired, a zone that includes a breaker bar can be disposed radially inwardly of the infeed zone. Where the disc is segmented, the segment has at least three fields. In one preferred embodiment, the segment has at least four fields which reduces the duration and magnitude of load swings by at least 40% thereby reducing refiner vibration and wear while advantageously increasing consistency of pulp quality and throughput. The disc and segment are capable of bi-directional operation without loss of efficiency, quality, and throughput.

The invention discloses an automatic rotating-disc type packaging and forming apparatus for a lithium battery. The apparatus comprises: an aluminum-plastic membrane forming unit, wherein the aluminum-plastic membrane forming unit is used for preparing a shell from the aluminum-plastic membrane through punching and cutting the membrane into slices and comprises an aluminum-plastic membrane unwinding mechanism, a notching mechanism used for slitting the aluminum-plastic membrane, a dedusting mechanism used for dedusting the aluminum-plastic membrane, a shell punching mechanism used for preparing the formed shell through punching and a cutting mechanism used for cutting the aluminum-plastic membrane, and the above-mentioned mechanisms are successively arranged; a feeding unit, wherein the feeding unit is used for delivering an electrical core to the shell and comprises a pulling strip, a CCD scanning and sorting mechanism, a positioning platform, a material feeding manipulator and a shell feeding manipulator, and the feeding unit is used for feeding of the shell and the electrical core; and an electrical core packaging unit (a rotating disc station), wherein the electrical core packaging unit is used for packaging of the electrical core and is connected with the tail of the aluminum-plastic membrane forming unit, the electrical core packaging unit comprises a fixture mechanism used for bearing and doubling the shell, a feeding mechanism used for conveying the fixture mechanism, a shell feeding mechanism, a top sealing mechanism and a side sealing mechanism, and the shell feeding mechanism, the top sealing mechanism and the side sealing mechanism are successively arranged along the feeding mechanism.
