Embodiments of a system and method for using mobile agents for managing distribution of content in peer-to-peer networks. An initiating peer node may launch a mobile agent including an itinerary of a group of peer nodes configured to receive and share content from a distributor. The mobile agent may visit the peer nodes on the itinerary to search for and collect information on distributor content stored on the visited peer nodes. The mobile agent may return the payload to the initiating peer node after completing the itinerary. In one embodiment, the mobile agent may include authentication information, and each visited peer node may access the authentication information to verify the mobile agent as authorized by the distributor. The initiating peer node may examine the information provided by the mobile agent to detect unauthorized copies of the distributor content.

In some implementations, the present invention provides a task distribution architecture capable of flow state awareness and link level QoS control. In some implementations, the present invention can incorporate one or more processes, such as flow distributors and device distributors, that route packets for processing among different processing units on the basis flow correspondence and/or link or network path attributes. The flow and device distributors, in one implementation, allow for the separation and paralletization of packet processing functionality into flow-specific and link-specific processing units, allowing for a highly-scalable, flow-aware task distribution in a network device that processes network application traffic.

These electronic order forms request a confirmation of the receipt of the electronic order forms. If it is determined that the confirmation of the receipt of the electronic order forms was not from the distributors, then an alert is generated.

Enhanced operator consoles provide for efficient and seamless integration of operator and customer services to automated services running on the intelligent overlay network. Such enhanced operator consoles are provided in the form of customized application programs that are executed by the operator consoles based on the context of calls that are transferred from the intelligent overlay network.
