waveguide and a preparation method thereof, relates to the technical field of

processing difficulty, low yield and high cost of the existing array optical
waveguide. The optical
waveguide comprises a turning waveguide which is provided with a light incident surface, a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of
first light splitting surfaces, the first surface and the second surface are arranged in parallel, the
first light splitting surfaces are arranged in parallel, the included angle between the
first light splitting surfaces and the first surface is smaller than 90 degrees, and the first light splitting surfaces enable light entering the turning waveguide from the light incident surface to be partially reflected; the reflected light is transmitted to the
coupling-out waveguide; the
coupling-out waveguide and the turning waveguide are spliced, so that light entering the
coupling-out waveguide from the turning waveguide is emitted out of the coupling-out waveguide. The first
beam splitting surface of the turning waveguide is not perpendicular to the first surface of the turning waveguide, compared with an existing array optical waveguide, the situation that the perpendicularity precision of the
beam splitting surface and the surface of the optical waveguide needs to be strictly controlled in the
machining process can be avoided, and therefore the
machining difficulty can be lowered, the yield can be improved, and cost can be reduced.
