The thermally protected LED module includes a thermal protector positioned in series between a source of electrical power and an LED driver and is configured to open a circuit to prevent power from being supplied by the power source to the LED driver for an LED package when a thermal rating or activation temperature of the thermal protector is exceeded. For example, the maximum operating temperature of the LED driver may be 90 degrees Celsius, and the thermal rating of the thermal protector may be 80 degrees Celsius, and when the temperature of the driver or a mounting bracket upon which the driver is mounted reaches 80 degrees Celsius, the thermal protector opens a circuit and removes current flow from the power source to the driver, thereby removing power to the LED package.

The adjustable assembly includes a sliding plate having a first side for mounting the fixture thereon and a curved surface opposite the first side. An electrical source of AC current is connected to the socket. A lamp fitting into the can has a shell with a flat or domed top and a plurality of LEDs. Two bolts and nuts attach the shell to the can. The first end of each bolt is hook-shaped to hook into the apertures. The second end has a thread. A low-profile, recessed light fixture with a housing, a lighting element enclosure with a heat sink, and a junction box containing a lighting driver. The base of the housing has an illumination aperture disposed therein. The heat sink acts as the top of the lighting element enclosure and is movable between an operation position and a service position. In the operation position, the heat sink is vertically aligned with the illumination aperture. In the service position, the heat sink is horizontally displaced from vertical alignment with the illumination aperture. When the heat sink is in the service position, the interior of the junction box is accessible through the illumination aperture, allowing the user to remove the lighting driver and other electrical components from the junction box for maintenance.

A hanger bar for supporting a recessed light fixture is attachable to ceiling joists or a T--bar grid of a drop down ceiling. First and second bars of the hanger bar slide and telescope. First and second spring clips are detachably coupled to the brackets at the ends of the first and second bars, respectively. Each of the first and second clips has a pair of downwardly extending arms bent inwardly toward one another, a first leg extending from a first arm, a second leg extending from a second arm, and an outwardly-extending foot on the second leg. The spring clips snap on to the T-bar grid. Each bracket includes a nail that is angled away from the hanger bar and downward so that the nail head is below the level of the hanger bar. When a lighting source is connected to the adjusting bracket, a user is able to move the lighting source and bracket aside to facilitate the user accessing the region behind the lighting source and bracket, which can include a power supply box and door. In at least one embodiment, a single-blade bracket extends perpendicularly from the support base while in the first pivot position and does not extend perpendicularly from the support base while in the second pivot position.
