Abstract

A display assembly 3-408 comprising a curved display having pixels, a front cover (3-402, figure 3-4), a curved lenticular lens array 3-410 disposed between the display and the front cover, and a blinker film 3-422 disposed between the curved lenticular lens array and the front cover, the blinker film and the curved lenticular lens array defining an air gap 3-424 between the blinker film and the curve lenticular lens array. Another embodiment is a head-mountable device comprising a shroud disposed between a display and a front cover, the shroud including opaque and transparent portions. A bracket couples the display to the shroud and a blinker film is disposed between the display and shroud. A third embodiment is a display assembly for a wearable electronic device comprising a shroud disposed between a transparent cover and a display screen. A bracket couples the screen to the shroud, wherein the shroud defines an opaque portion obscuring a view of the bracket through the cover, and a transparent portion aligned with the screen, the screen configured to project light through the transparent portion and cover.
