A partition having pre-assembled wall and services transition modules

Abstract

A partition 1 comprises a wall pre-assembled module 25 having an aperture 29 and a services transition pre-assembled module 27 fixed and sealed within the aperture. The wall module comprises first 33 and second continuous wall surfaces and the services module comprises first 47 and second continuous wall surfaces. The services module has a plurality of conveying component connectors that pass through it. In use, the conveying component connectors are coupleable to conveying components on either side of the module. The wall and services modules may comprise frames forming cavities. The wall surfaces may be formed from fire-resistant board, the cavities may be filed with fire-resistant material and the seal may be a fire-resistant sealant. The services module may include ventilation, water and cable tray connectors 17, 19, 21. A wall pre-assembled module comprises a frame and a services transition module includes layers of fire-resistant plasterboard. A building comprises lower and upper floors 5, 3 with a partition between them. A method of installing a partition comprises the step of fixing the wall module to the lower and upper floors. Figure 1
