Abstract

A fire-retardant topical formulation comprising glycerol and urea in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:30 is provided. The formulation may further comprise polyvinyl pyrrolidone and / or ethylhexylglycerin, and / or a barrier forming agent and / or a stabilising agent. The formulation may be a moisturiser, shampoo, conditioner, hair dye, sun cream, aftersun composition, emollient or medical composition. The formulation may be for use in treating a skin condition, such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, elderly dry and itchy skin, ichthyosis, rash, or infection.
