Abstract

A multilayer optical sheet has multiple polygonal grid cells 20 and includes a substrate 10, a multilayer film 30 and two anti-fouling and water-repellent layers 40. The multiple polygonal grid cells and multilayer film are formed through vacuum coating on one surface of the substrate and by alternately stacking multiple high refractive index materials and multiple low refractive index materials. The multiple polygonal grid cells resist glare and block scattered light and also provide a light supplementing effect to shorten light and dark adaptation periods for eyes. The multilayer film is formed on a surface of the substrate opposite to that of the multiple polygonal grid cells and blocks ultraviolet, violet and blue light of 280-500nm and near infrared light in the waveband of 760-2000nm. The two anti-fouling and water-repellent layers are formed through vacuum coating by attaching a water-repellent agent to the outside of the multiple polygonal grid cells and the multilayer film. The multiple polygonal grid cells are therefore enclosed by one of the anti-fouling and water-repellent layers. The substrate and multilayer film is then sandwiched between another one of the anti-fouling and water repellent layers and the substrate. [Figure 1]
