This invention discloses a water-based ink for packaging printing and its preparation method, belonging to the field of ink preparation technology. The water-based ink comprises a color paste, a
mica functional filler, and a dispersion medium. The color paste includes core-shell structured modified
pigment particles and deionized water. The core of the modified
pigment particles is a
pigment particle, and the shell
layers, from the inside out, are modified
rosin-silica, a silica layer, and a secondary
silane protective layer. The dispersion medium includes a water-based resin, a water-based acrylic
emulsion, functional additives, and water. This invention also provides a preparation method for the water-based ink, including the preparation of the
mica functional filler, the preparation of the color paste, and the compounding of the ink. This invention, through the synergistic compounding of a three-layer core-shell structured pigment and a
silane-modified
mica functional filler, significantly improves the
dispersion stability, storage stability, and printability of the water-based ink, showing promising application prospects.
