Abstract

The article according to the present design (hereinafter referred to as the "article") is an auger cover 11 for a snowplow, which is disposed at the front end of a snowplow 10, as shown in the reference perspective view 1. The auger cover 11 mainly includes a housing 12 and an intrusion prevention fence 13 disposed at a front opening 12A of the housing 12, and an auger 14 is rotatably disposed within the housing 12. A user of the snowplow 10 operates a handle 15 to cause the auger cover 11 to enter a snow-covered area from the front opening 12A side, and snow that has been raked into the housing 12 by the rotation of the auger 14 is blown off to the side from a chute 16, thereby removing snow. As shown in the reference perspective view 1 and the reference side view 2, the multiple thin plates 13A of the intrusion prevention fence 13 are arranged, for example, in the lateral direction of the housing 12 at intervals that prevent the shoes of an operator or the like from intruding into the housing 12, and are arranged so as to surround the periphery of the auger 14. As shown in the reference perspective view of FIG. 3, the thin plates 13A prevent the worker's feet from entering the housing 12, and thus prevent the worker's feet from being caught in the auger 14. On the other hand, accumulated snow enters the housing 12 between the thin plates 13A and is removed.
