Cell culture vessels

Abstract

This article is a cell culture vessel for culturing cells. It consists of a translucent container body made of silicone rubber, a holder attached to the container body, and a cap removably attached to the holder. The container body is petri dish-shaped with a flange at its upper end. The holder is composed of an upper holder covering the flat side of the container body and a lower holder covering the bottom side of the container body, connected by four pillars. The upper holder has a central opening with a thread that allows the cap to be attached and detached. The upper holder is divided into upper and lower halves and supports the container body by sandwiching the flange of the container body. The lower holder has a circular plate with a mesh-like hole that covers the bottom of the container body. With the cap removed, a culture medium or the like can be injected into the container body through the central opening of the upper holder. The cap is then fastened to the upper holder, sealing the container body with the holder and the cap.
