Abstract

This ceiling inspection hatch base unit is insertable into a ceiling inspection hatch opening. It consists of a pair of parallel siding supports and a pair of parallel sidings, which are integrated and perpendicular to each other. As shown in "Enlarged Reference Diagram D," the pair of siding supports and the pair of sidings are fastened together with clips. As shown in "Enlarged Reference Diagram G," the siding supports comprise an outer frame and an inner frame, which are configured to move relative to the outer frame in the direction of extension. As shown in "Perspective View Showing the Installation in the Attic," the ceiling inspection hatch base unit is inserted through a rectangular opening formed by drilling a predetermined position in the ceiling material, and the siding supports, with the inner frame extended relative to the outer frame, are clipped to the existing siding, allowing the ceiling inspection hatch base unit to be easily installed in the attic. Additionally, multiple elastic members are fixed to the inside of the sidings, which can contact the outer frame of the ceiling inspection hatch. This allows the elastic members to absorb any slight misalignment of the outer frame when fastening the outer frame of the ceiling inspection hatch to the siding.
