Abstract

As shown in Reference Figures 1-5, this swing is made of circular or semicircular material and is suspended by a single rope or chain for one or two people. Because it is suspended by a single rope or chain, it can swing 360 degrees, front to back, left to right. When using it alone, as with a normal one-person swing, the person places both feet together, holds the rope or chain between their legs, and climbs onto the swing. When using it with two people, they face each other, hold the rope or chain, and climb onto the swing. The difference in weight between the two people causes the swing to tilt, so they must balance and decide where to sit to keep it level. They can also intentionally shift their positions to lose balance and swing the swing up and down. Therefore, it is called a rodeo swing because each person can swing the other person back and forth, left to right, and up and down. Note that this swing cannot be used if there is a large difference in weight between the two people. For example, if a mother and a child under the age of six are riding together, the mother and child will be positioned far apart, so the child will not be able to grab onto the rope or chain. Therefore, a separate swing is required. However, this swing can be used by a mother and a child over the age of seven, two adults, or two children.
