System, method, and medium for preventing counterfeit using non-fungible token

Abstract

SOLUTION: A method for preventing counterfeit by using a non-fungible token includes: manufacturing a physical product having an ID tag to be recognized by a device that includes a user interface and performs wireless communication via a communication network; and providing a digital asset having a representation of the physical product and metadata. The digital asset is cryptographically protected by a non-fungible token, and the metadata contains an identical product identifier corresponding to the ID tag of the physical product. The method further includes storing the non-fungible token in a block chain, and associating the ID tag of the physical product with the digital asset.EFFECT: When an ID tag is read by a device, a user interface of the device displays a cryptographically protected digital asset together with a representation of a physical product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
