Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a window renovation method and a plastic sash. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, the bottom frames of fittings such as sliding sashes have been formed in a stepped shape so that the outdoor end is positioned lower than the indoor end. The bottom frame of an exterior sash corresponds to this shape of the bottom frame, and is shaped so that the bottom end of the outdoor member positioned on the outdoor side of the glass extends to a position lower than the bottom end of the indoor member positioned on the indoor side of the glass.

[0003] In recent years, a shoji screen with high thermal insulation performance that uses triple glass and has a lower frame formed at the same height from the outdoor side to the indoor side, and an outdoor component and an indoor component of the lower frame of the shoji screen formed at the same height, has become known, as shown in Patent Document 1. Patent Document 1 describes a method of replacing an existing shoji screen with a new one by attaching a new frame body corresponding to the lower frame of the new shoji screen to the lower frame of an existing frame body formed in a stepped shape as an attachment, and then attaching the new shoji screen on top of the new frame body. [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-064306 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] When replacing a shoji screen, in which the outdoor and indoor components of the bottom frame are formed at the same height as described in Patent Document 1, by attaching it to the bottom frame of an existing stepped frame body, work is required to newly install a new frame body on the bottom frame and change the bottom frame structure to one in which the inner rail and the outer rail supporting the outer shoji screen are at the same height. As described above, the conventional window reform method requires time-consuming work, which creates problems in terms of workability and operability, and there is room for improvement in this regard.

[0006] The present disclosure provides a window renovation method and a plastic sash that allow the existing frame to be used without structural changes and that enables only the screen to be replaced with a new screen having high insulation performance by replacing the existing frame. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] One embodiment of the window renovation method disclosed herein is a window renovation method for replacing shoji screens in plastic sashes, in which the existing shoji screen is removed from an existing frame body that is installed in an opening and frames all four sides, and a new shoji screen that has higher insulation performance than the existing shoji screen is attached to the existing frame body.

[0008] In another aspect of the plastic sash of the present disclosure, the newly installed shoji screen is attached to the existing frame by the window renovation method described above. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0010] (First embodiment) A window remodeling method according to one embodiment and a sliding window as an example of a plastic sash will be described below with reference to the drawings. The window remodeling method of this embodiment uses the existing frame 1 of an existing sliding window 100 (plastic sash) shown in Fig. 1 as is and does not replace it, but only replaces the new shoji (outer shoji 2 and inner shoji 3) as shown in Fig. 2. In this embodiment, an attachment 7 is provided to the lower end of the new outer shoji 5 provided on the existing frame 1 as shown in Fig. 2.

[0011] The existing sliding window 100 is installed in an exterior wall opening Wa of an exterior wall of a building. The existing sliding window 100 includes an existing frame 1, an outer screen 2, an inner screen 3, and a screen door 4.

[0012] In the following description, the direction connecting the outdoor side and the indoor side is referred to as the indoor-outdoor direction. Among the view directions perpendicular to the indoor-outdoor direction, the horizontal direction is referred to as the width direction, and the vertical direction is referred to as the up-down direction.

[0013] The existing frame body 1 is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The existing frame body 1 has an upper frame 11, a lower frame 12, and a pair of vertical frames 13. In this embodiment, the existing frame body 1 is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy, or may be an aluminum-resin composite (a configuration in which aluminum members and resin members are assembled).

[0014] The upper frame 11 and the lower frame 12 extend in the width direction. The vertical frames 13 extend in the up-down direction. Each vertical frame 13 connects an end of the upper frame 11 to an end of the lower frame 12.

[0015] The lower frame 12 has an upper stage 121, a pair of inner rail support portions 122, an inner rail 123, a middle stage 124, a pair of outer rail support portions 125, an outer rail 126, a lower stage 127, and a screen rail 128.

[0016] The upper stage 121 is disposed on the indoor side of the lower frame 12. The upper stage 121 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the upper stage 121 faces the vertical direction. A pair of inner rail support parts 122 are provided at the outdoor end of the upper stage 121. The inner rail support parts 122 protrude upward from the upper stage 121. The inner rail 123 is fitted between the pair of inner rail support parts 122. The inner rail 123 supports the inner screen 3.

[0017] The middle stage 124 is disposed on the outdoor side of the upper stage 121. The middle stage 124 is disposed at a lower height than the upper stage 121, and the middle stage 124 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the middle stage 124 faces the up-down direction. A pair of outer rail support parts 125 are provided at the outdoor side end of the middle stage 124. The outer rail support parts 125 protrude upward from the middle stage 124. The outer rail 126 is fitted between the pair of outer rail support parts 125. The outer rail 126 supports the outer screen 2.

[0018] Lower portion 127 is disposed closer to the outdoors than middle portion 124. Lower portion 127 is disposed at a lower height than middle portion 124. Screen rail 128 protrudes upward from the end of lower portion 127 facing the outdoors.

[0019] In the bottom frame 12, the middle section 124 is disposed at a lower height than the upper section 121, and the lower section 127 is disposed at a lower height than the middle section 124. The outer rail 126 supporting the outer screen 2 is disposed at a lower height than the inner rail 123 supporting the inner screen 3. In this way, the bottom frame 12 is formed in a stepped shape.

[0020] The outer screen 2 is positioned closer to the outside than the inner screen 3. The outer screen 2 and the inner screen 3 are mounted on the existing frame body 1 so as to be able to slide in the width direction. When the outer screen 2 and the inner screen 3 are closed, the outer screen 2 and the inner screen 3 block the inside of the existing frame body 1.

[0021] The outer screen 2 has a frame 20 and glass 29. The frame 20 is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The frame 20 has an upper frame 21, a lower frame 22, and a pair of vertical frames 23. In this embodiment, the frame 20 is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite. The upper frame 21 and the lower frame 22 extend in the width direction. The vertical frames 23 extend in the up-down direction. Each vertical frame 23 connects an end of the upper frame 21 to an end of the lower frame 22.

[0022] The lower frame 22 has an outer plate portion 221, an inner plate portion 222, and a connecting plate portion 223. The outer plate portion 221 is disposed on the outdoor side of the glass 29. The inner plate portion 222 is disposed on the indoor side of the glass 29. The outer plate portion 221 and the inner plate portion 222 are formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the outer plate portion 221 and the plate surface of the inner plate portion 222 face the indoor / outdoor direction. The outer plate portion 221 and the inner plate portion 222 are disposed over approximately the entire length of the outer sash 2 in the width direction.

[0023] The vertical length of the outer plate portion 221 is longer than the vertical length of the inner plate portion 222. The upper end portion of the outer plate portion 221 and the upper end portion of the inner plate portion 222 are located at approximately the same height. The lower end portion 221d of the outer plate portion 221 is located lower than the lower end portion 222d of the inner plate portion 222.

[0024] On the outdoor side of the outer rail support portion 125 of the lower frame 12, an airtight line A1 is formed running horizontally through the lower end portion 221d of the outer panel portion 221 of the lower frame 22 of the outer screen 2.

[0025] The connecting plate portion 223 connects the vertical middle of the outer plate portion 221 and the vertical middle of the inner plate portion 222. A wheel hole (not shown) that penetrates in the vertical direction is formed in the connecting plate portion 223. A wheel 224 is provided in the wheel hole. The wheel 224 is capable of running on an outer rail 126 of the lower frame 12.

[0026] The glass 29 is housed within the frame 20. In this embodiment, the glass 29 is double glazing, but it may be single pane glass or the like.

[0027] The inner sash 3 has a frame 30 and glass 39. The frame 30 is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The frame 30 has an upper frame 31, a lower frame 32, and a pair of vertical frames 33. In this embodiment, the frame 30 is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite. The upper frame 31 and the lower frame 32 extend in the width direction. The vertical frame 33 extends in the up-down direction. Each vertical frame 33 connects an end of the upper frame 31 and an end of the lower frame 32. A door roller 324 is provided on the lower frame 32. The door roller 324 is capable of running on the inner rail 123 of the lower frame 12.

[0028] The glass 39 is housed within the frame 30. In this embodiment, the glass 39 is double glazing, but it may be single pane glass or the like.

[0029] The screen door 4 is disposed on the outdoor side of the outer shoji screen 2. The screen door 4 is capable of running on a screen door rail 128 of the bottom frame 12.

[0030] As shown in Figure 2, a newly installed sliding window 200 (newly installed shoji) utilizes the existing frame 1 of the existing sliding window 100 as is, and replaces the existing outer shoji 2 and inner shoji 3 with newly installed outer shoji 5 and inner shoji 6. The newly replaced outer shoji 5 is referred to as the newly installed outer shoji 5, and the newly replaced inner shoji 6 is referred to as the newly installed inner shoji 6. Among the components of the newly installed sliding window 200, those that are the same as the components of the existing sliding window 100 are given the same reference numerals, and explanations of those components will be omitted.

[0031] The newly installed sliding window 200 comprises an existing frame body 1, a newly installed outer screen 5, a newly installed inner screen 6, and a screen door 4.

[0032] The new exterior shoji screen 5 has a frame 50 and glass 59. The frame 50 is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The frame 50 has an upper frame 51, a lower frame 52, and a pair of vertical frames 53. In this embodiment, the frame 50 is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite. The upper frame 51 and the lower frame 52 extend in the width direction. The vertical frame 53 extends in the up-down direction. Each vertical frame 53 connects an end of the upper frame 51 and an end of the lower frame 52.

[0033] The glass 59 is housed within the frame 50. In this embodiment, the glass 59 is a triple-pane glass that has better insulation properties than the glass 29 of the existing sliding window 100, but it may be a single-pane glass, laminated glass, double-pane glass, or the like, as long as it has better insulation performance than the existing shoji screen.

[0034] The newly installed inner screen 6 has the same structure as the newly installed outer screen 5, except for the size of the glass 59, and will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described. The bottom frame 52 of the newly installed inner screen 6 and the bottom frame 52 of the newly installed outer screen 5 have the same dimensions and cross-sectional shape.

[0035] In the newly installed exterior screen 5, the vertical length of the upper frame 51 is shorter than the vertical length of the upper frame 21 of the exterior screen 2 of the existing sliding window 100. The vertical length of the lower frame 52 is shorter than the vertical length of the lower frame 22. The widthwise length of the vertical frame 53 is shorter than the widthwise length of the vertical frame 23. This allows the vertical and widthwise lengths of the glass 59 of the newly installed exterior screen 5 to be longer than the vertical and widthwise lengths of the glass 29 of the existing exterior screen 2, thereby improving lighting and insulation compared to the existing system.

[0036] 3, an attachment 7 is provided at the lower end of the lower frame 52 of the newly installed outer screen 5. The lower frame 52 has a first outer plate portion (outdoor side wall portion) 521, a second outer plate portion 522, a first inner plate portion 523, a second inner plate portion 524, and a connecting plate portion 525.

[0037] The first outer plate portion 521 is disposed on the outdoor side of the glass 59. The second outer plate portion 522 is disposed on the indoor side of the first outer plate portion 521. The outdoor side wall portion 521 and the second outer plate portion 522 are disposed opposite each other in the indoor-outdoor direction. A hollow portion is formed between the first outer plate portion 521 and the second outer plate portion 522. The lower end portion of the outdoor side wall portion 521 and the lower end portion of the second outer plate portion 522 are located at the same height. The first outer plate portion 521 and the second outer plate portion 522 are formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the first outer plate portion 521 and the plate surface of the second outer plate portion 522 face the indoor-outdoor direction. The first outer plate portion 521 and the second outer plate portion 522 are disposed over approximately the entire length of the width direction of the new outer shoji screen 5.

[0038] The first inner plate portion 523 is disposed on the indoor side of the glass 59. The second inner plate portion 524 is disposed on the outdoor side of the first inner plate portion 523. The first inner plate portion 523 and the second inner plate portion 524 are formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the first inner plate portion 523 and the plate surface of the second inner plate portion 524 face the indoor / outdoor direction. The first inner plate portion 523 and the second inner plate portion 524 are disposed over approximately the entire length of the newly installed outer shoji screen 5 in the width direction.

[0039] The connecting plate portion 525 connects the vertical middle of the second outer plate portion 522 and the vertical middle of the second inner plate portion 524. A wheel hole (not shown) penetrating in the vertical direction is formed in the connecting plate portion 525. A wheel 526 is provided in the wheel hole.

[0040] The lower portion of the first outer plate portion 521 and the lower portion of the second outer plate portion 522 are connected by an outer connecting wall portion 531. A screw hole 532 penetrating in the up-down direction is formed in the outer connecting wall portion 531. A screw 78 described later is screwed into the screw hole 532.

[0041] A first outer locking wall 533 extending toward the indoor side is provided at the lower end of the first outer plate 521. A second outer locking wall 534 extending toward the outdoor side is provided at the lower end of the second outer plate 522. The first outer locking wall 533 and the second outer locking wall 534 are located at the same height. A gap is formed between the first outer locking wall 533 and the second outer locking wall 534. A screw 78 is inserted into this gap.

[0042] A first inner locking wall 535 extending toward the outdoor side is provided at the lower end of the first inner plate 523. A second inner locking wall 536 extending toward the indoor side is provided at the lower end of the second inner plate 524. An inner airtight material 541 is fitted between the first inner locking wall 535 and the second inner locking wall 536. The inner airtight material 541 is disposed along substantially the entire length of the lower frame 52, along the first inner locking wall 535 and the second inner locking wall 536. An outdoor end of the inner airtight material 541 abuts against the outer rail support portion 125.

[0043] The attachment 7 is attached to the lower end of the lower frame 52. The attachment 7 is disposed along the first outer locking wall portion 533 and the second outer locking wall portion 534. The attachment 7 is disposed over substantially the entire length of the lower frame 52. The attachment 7 has a fixed portion 71 and a hanging portion 72. In this embodiment, the attachment 7 is made of a metal such as aluminum, but may be made of other materials such as resin.

[0044] The fixing portion 71 is disposed along the lower surface of the first outer locking wall portion 533 and the lower surface of the second outer locking wall portion 534. The fixing portion 71 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of the fixing portion 71 faces the up-down direction. As shown in Fig. 4, an attachment hole 712 is formed in an indoor end portion 711 of the fixing portion 71 so as to be recessed toward the outdoor side. A plurality of attachment holes 712 are formed at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the fixing portion 71.

[0045] The mounting hole 712 is formed by a screw insertion hole portion 713 and a screw fixing hole portion 714. The screw insertion hole portion 713 has a shape that is recessed from the end portion 711 into a substantially rectangular shape. The screw fixing hole portion 714 is formed continuously with the screw insertion hole portion 713 and has a substantially circular shape. The width W1 of the screw insertion hole portion 713 (the length in the width direction of the new outer screen 5) is longer than the diameter of the screw portion 781 of the screw 78 described later. This allows the screw portion 781 to be inserted through the screw insertion hole portion 713. The diameter W2 of the screw fixing hole portion 714 is longer than the width W1 of the screw insertion hole portion 713 and shorter than the diameter of the head portion 782 of the screw 78. This allows the head portion 782 to be engaged with the screw fixing hole portion 714.

[0046] As shown in Figure 3, the screw portion 781 extending upward from the bolt-nut shaped (hexagonal) head 782 of the screw 78 is inserted into the mounting hole 712 of the fixed portion 71, inserted into the gap between the first external engagement wall portion 533 and the second external engagement wall portion 534 of the lower frame 52, and screwed into the threaded hole 532 of the external connecting wall portion 531.

[0047] Hanging portion 72 extends downward from the outdoor end of fixed portion 71. Hanging portion 72 is formed in a plate shape. The plate surface of hanging portion 72 faces the indoor / outdoor direction. Surface 72a of hanging portion 72 facing the outdoor side is disposed on the same vertical plane as surface 521a of first outer plate portion 521 of bottom frame 52 facing the outdoor side.

[0048] An extending wall portion 73 extending toward the indoor side is provided at the vertical middle of hanging portion 72. A downward wall portion 74 extending downward is provided at the indoor side end of extending wall portion 73.

[0049] A first support wall portion (airtight material support portion) 721 extending toward the indoor side is provided at a lower end of hanging portion 72. A second support wall portion (airtight material support portion) 741 extending toward the outdoor side is provided at a lower end of downward wall portion 74.

[0050] An outer airtight material (airtight material) 542 is fitted between the first support wall portion 721 and the second support wall portion 741. The outer airtight material 542 is arranged along the lower surface of the first support wall portion 721 and the lower surface of the second support wall portion 741, over approximately the entire length of the lower frame 52. The indoor end of the outer airtight material 542 abuts against the outer rail support portion 125. The outer airtight material 542 has the same shape as the inner airtight material 541, and is arranged symmetrically in the indoor / outdoor direction.

[0051] The first support wall portion 721 and the second support wall portion 741 are located at the same height as the lower end portion 221d (see FIG. 1) of the outer plate portion 221 of the bottom frame 22 of the existing sliding window 100. As a result, the airtight line A2 of the newly installed sliding window 200 is at the same height as the airtight line A1 of the existing sliding window 100.

[0052] A new outer rail 8 is fitted between a pair of outer rail support parts 125 of the lower frame 12. The outer rail 8 has a rail base 81, a pair of rail locking walls 82, and a rail main body 83. The rail base 81 is disposed on the upper side of the pair of outer rail support parts 125. The pair of rail locking walls 82 extend downward from the rail base 81. The pair of rail locking walls 82 are disposed spaced apart in the indoor / outdoor direction. The rail locking walls 82 are locked to the outer rail support parts 125. The rail main body 83 protrudes upward from the rail base 81. At the lower end of the rail main body 83, a recess 831 is formed that curves from the outdoor surface toward the indoor side, and a recess 831 is formed that curves from the indoor surface toward the outdoor side. The upper end of the rail main body 83 has a shape that curves upward and bulges in a vertical cross section along the indoor / outdoor direction. A roller 526 provided on the lower frame 52 is capable of running along the rail body 83.

[0053] To attach the attachment 7 to the lower frame 52, the screw portion 781 of the screw 78 is inserted into the gap between the first outer locking wall portion 533 and the second outer locking wall portion 534 of the lower frame 52, and loosely screwed into the screw hole 532 of the outer connecting wall portion 531. At this time, a gap equal to or larger than the thickness (vertical length) of the fixing portion 71 of the attachment 7 is secured between the screw portion 781 of the screw 78 and the first outer locking wall portion 533 and the second outer locking wall portion 534. The attachment 7 is moved from the outdoor side to the indoor side so that the mounting hole 712 of the fixing portion 71 of the attachment 7 is inserted into the portion of the screw portion 781 that extends downward beyond the first outer locking wall portion 533 and the second outer locking wall portion 534. The attachment 7 is positioned when the screw fixing hole portion 714 of the mounting hole 712 reaches the screw portion 781. At this position, the screw 78 is further tightened until the screw portion 781 is completely screwed into the threaded hole 532 of the outer connection wall portion 531 .

[0054] Next, the window remodeling method according to this embodiment, and the operation of the window remodeling method and the resin sash will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 3, when replacing the existing screens (external screen 2 and internal screen 3) with new screens (new external screen 5 and new internal screen 6) in the above-mentioned existing frame body 1, first, the existing screens, the external screen 2 and the internal screen 3, are removed from the existing frame body 1. Next, the new screens, the external screen 5 and the internal screen 6, which have higher thermal insulation performance than the existing screens, are attached to the existing frame body 1. At this time, the existing frame body 1 is not changed or reinforced.

[0055] During the replacement, the existing double-glazed screens 2, 3 are replaced with new triple-glazed screens 5, 6. In order to make the new screens 5, 6 have roughly the same thickness in the indoor and outdoor directions as the existing screens 2, 3 and the frame 20, the push-edge 91B and glass packing 92B that hold the new screens 5, 6 are thinner than the push-edge 91A and glass packing 92A that hold the existing screens 2, 3.

[0056] In the newly replaced sliding window 200 as described above, new shoji screens 5, 6 having smaller frame dimensions than the existing shoji screens 2, 3 are attached to the existing frame body 1. As a result, it is possible to adopt shoji screens whose glass opening area is larger than that of the existing shoji screens 2, 3. The opening dimension in this embodiment is the dimension in the vertical direction.

[0057] In the newly installed sliding window 200, an attachment 7 is attached that extends below the first outer plate portion 521 of the bottom frame 52 of the newly installed exterior shoji screen 5. Specifically, the fixing portion 71 of the attachment 7 is fixed to the lower end of the first outer plate portion 521. The airtight line A2 can be positioned lower than the lower end of the bottom frame 52 by the vertical length of the hanging portion 72. Therefore, even if the lower end (first outer locking wall portion 533 and second outer locking wall portion 534) of the bottom frame 52 of the newly installed exterior shoji screen 5 is positioned higher than the lower end 221d of the bottom frame 22 of the existing exterior shoji screen 2, the lower end (first support wall portion 721 and second support wall portion 741) of the attachment 7 can be made the airtight line A2, so that the same airtightness as in the past can be ensured.

[0058] In this embodiment, the existing frame 1 can be easily replaced with the new shoji 5, 6 having high thermal insulation performance by simple work by replacing only the shoji. That is, the time-consuming work of attaching a new frame to the lower frame 12 of the existing frame 1, changing the configuration of the existing frame 1, and reinforcing the existing frame 1, as in the conventional method, is no longer necessary, so that the workability can be improved. For example, when reinforcing the lower frame as in the conventional method, if the existing frame 1 is replaced with a new shoji having triple glass with high thermal insulation performance, the weight of the new shoji increases, so that it is necessary to reinforce the frame with sufficient strength to cope with this increased weight, which increases the scale of reinforcement and increases the amount of work required for replacement. In contrast, in this embodiment, reinforcement of the existing frame 1 is not necessary, so that the work can be efficiently performed.

[0059] Second embodiment As shown in Figures 5 to 8, the window remodeling method and resin sash according to the second embodiment takes a vertical sliding window as an example, and is a method in which the existing frame 1A of an existing vertical sliding window 100A is used as is and is not replaced, but only the existing shoji 2A is replaced with a new shoji 5A as shown in Figure 5. Detailed explanations of the configuration of the vertical sliding window 100A of the second embodiment will be omitted for the points that are similar to the above-mentioned sliding window 100.

[0060] The existing vertical sliding window 100A includes an existing frame body 1A and an existing shoji 2A. The existing frame body 1A is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The existing frame body 1A has an upper frame 11A, a lower frame 12A, and a pair of vertical frames 13A. In this embodiment, the existing frame body 1A is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite (a configuration in which an aluminum member and a resin member are assembled). The existing shoji 2A is provided so that it can rotate around the axis of the hanging point supported by the vertical frame 13A of the existing frame body 1A. The existing shoji 2A includes a frame body 20A and glass 29A. Pair glass is used for the glass 29A.

[0061] As shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, the new vertical sliding window 200A uses the existing frame 1A of the existing vertical sliding window 100A shown in Fig. 5 as is, and replaces the existing screen 2A with a new screen 5A. The components of the new vertical sliding window 200A that are the same as those of the existing vertical sliding window 100A are given the same reference numerals, and the description of those components is omitted. The new screen 5A has a frame 50A and glass 59A. The glass 59A is housed in the frame 50A. In this embodiment, the glass 59A is made of triple glass, which has better heat insulation than the glass 29A of the existing vertical sliding window 100A.

[0062] The frame viewing dimensions of the frame body 50A of the newly installed shoji screen 5A are the same as those of the existing shoji screen 2A, with no changes.

[0063] The thickness of the push-edge 93B and glass packing 94B that hold the glass 59A of the new triple-glazed shoji 5A is set to be smaller than the thickness of the push-edge 93A and glass packing 94A provided in the existing shoji 2A. The projected dimensions of the frame 50A of the new shoji 5A are approximately the same as the frame 20A of the existing shoji 2A.

[0064] In the window renovation method and vertical sliding window according to the second embodiment configured as described above, by replacing only the shoji screen, the existing shoji screen 2A can be easily replaced with a new shoji screen 5A having high insulation performance.

[0065] Third embodiment As shown in Figures 9 to 11, the window renovation method and plastic sash according to the third embodiment takes a casement window as an example, and is a method in which the existing frame 1B of an existing casement window 100B (plastic sash) is utilized as is and is not replaced, but only the existing shoji screen 2B is replaced with a new shoji screen 5B.

[0066] As shown in FIG. 10, the existing casement window 100B includes an existing frame body 1B and an existing shoji 2B. The existing frame body 1B is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The existing frame body 1B includes an upper frame 11B, a lower frame 12B, and a pair of vertical frames 13B. In this embodiment, the existing frame body 1B is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite (a configuration in which an aluminum member and a resin member are assembled). The existing shoji 2B is provided so that it can rotate around the axis of the hanging point supported by the vertical frame 13B of the existing frame body 1B. The existing shoji 2B includes a frame body 20B and glass 29B. Pair glass is used for the glass 29B.

[0067] As shown in FIG. 9, the new casement window 200B uses the existing frame 1B of the existing casement window 100B as is, and replaces the existing shoji 2B with a new shoji 5B. The components of the new casement window 200B that are the same as those of the existing casement window 100B are given the same reference numerals, and the description of those components is omitted. The new shoji 5B has a frame 50B and glass 59B. The glass 59B is housed within the frame 50B. In this embodiment, the glass 59B is made of triple glass, which has better heat insulation than the glass 29B of the existing casement window 100B.

[0068] The thickness of the push-edge 95B and glass packing 96B that hold the glass 59B of the new triple-glazed shoji 5B is set to be smaller than the thickness of the push-edge 95A and glass packing 96A provided in the existing shoji 2B. The projected dimensions of the frame 50B of the new shoji 5B are approximately the same as the frame 20 of the existing shoji 2B.

[0069] In the newly installed casement window 200B replaced as described above, a new shoji screen 5B having a smaller frame dimension than the existing shoji screen 2B is attached to the existing frame body 1B. As a result, a shoji screen with a larger glass opening area of the new shoji screen 5B than the existing shoji screen 2B can be adopted.

[0070] In the window renovation method and casement window according to the third embodiment configured as described above, by replacing only the screen, the existing screen 2B can be easily replaced with a new screen 5B having high thermal insulation performance.

[0071] (Fourth embodiment) As shown in Figures 12 and 13, the window renovation method and plastic sash according to the fourth embodiment are for a swing-type window, and taking a back door window as an example, this method utilizes the existing frame 1C of the existing back door window 100C as is and does not replace it, but only replaces the existing shoji 2C with a new shoji 5C.

[0072] As shown in FIG. 12, the existing back door window 100C includes an existing frame body 1C and an existing shoji screen 2C. The existing frame body 1C is formed in a four-sided frame shape. The existing frame body 1C includes an upper frame 11C, a lower frame 12C, and a pair of vertical frames. In this embodiment, the existing frame body 1C is made of resin, but it may be made of a metal shaped material such as an aluminum alloy or an aluminum-resin composite (a configuration in which an aluminum member and a resin member are assembled). The existing shoji screen 2C is provided so that it can rotate around the axis of the hanging point supported by the vertical frame of the existing frame body 1C. The existing shoji screen 2C includes a frame body 20C and glass 29C. The glass 29C is made of double glass.

[0073] As shown in FIG. 13, the new service window 200C uses the existing frame 1C of the existing service window 100C as is, and replaces the existing shoji 2C with a new shoji 5C. The components of the new service window 200C that are the same as those of the existing service window 100C are given the same reference numerals, and the explanation of those components is omitted. The new shoji 5C has a frame 50C and glass 59C. The glass 59C is housed within the frame 50C. In this embodiment, the glass 59C is made of triple glass, which has better insulation properties than the glass 29C of the existing service window 100C.

[0074] The newly installed back door window 200C is set so that the frame size of the newly installed shoji 5C is smaller than that of the existing shoji 2C. Therefore, in this embodiment, the glass opening area of the newly installed shoji 5C is larger than that of the existing shoji 2C, so triple glass is used for the newly installed shoji 5C.

[0075] As shown in Fig. 13, the thickness of the push-edge 97B and glass packing 98B that hold the glass 59B of the new triple-glazed shoji 5C is set to be smaller than the thickness of the push-edge 97A and glass packing 98A provided in the existing shoji 2C. The projected dimensions of the frame 50C of the new shoji 5C are approximately the same as the frame 20C of the existing shoji 2C.

[0076] With the window renovation method and back door window of the fourth embodiment configured as described above, by replacing only the shoji screen, the existing shoji screen 2C can be easily replaced with a new shoji screen 5C having high insulation performance.

[0077] Although the embodiments of the window remodeling method and the plastic sash according to the present disclosure have been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments.

[0078] For example, in the sliding window of the first embodiment, the attachment may be attached to a frame door, a sliding window, etc. Alternatively, the attachment may be attached to the inner sash of the sliding window.

[0079] In addition, in the above-mentioned embodiment, since the glass of the newly replaced shoji screen will be triple glass and the load will increase, it may be possible to support it from above the exterior wall using reinforcing materials such as L-shaped angle bars.

[0080] In addition, the components in the above-described embodiments can be replaced with well-known components as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure. [Explanation of symbols]
