Abstract
Description
[Technical field]

[0002] When current electromagnetic relays are applied to electronic products or electric circuit systems, they must strictly adhere to the positive and negative polarity connection method. That is, when an electromagnetic relay is manufactured, it must first be specified in advance as to whether each pin is used to connect to the positive or negative pole of an electronic / electrical circuit, and when the electromagnetic relay is assembled and connected in a circuit, the positive and negative pins must be connected to the positive and negative poles of the electronic / electrical circuit in a correct manner according to the indication on the electromagnetic relay. In this case, once a reverse electrical conduction situation occurs in the electronic / electrical circuit, it may cause an extremely large arc effect to occur in the electromagnetic relay, and the electromagnetic relay may be destroyed by the energy of the arc, resulting in damage. Therefore, current electromagnetic relays must be used by connecting them to the positive and negative poles of an electronic / electrical circuit according to the positive and negative polarity indication, and assembly with reverse connection of the positive and negative poles or reverse electrical conduction in an electronic / electrical circuit is not permitted. Effect of the Invention
[0005] Since lightning is essentially a type of arc, the tip discharge effect of a lightning conductor can be utilized to attract lightning and protect surrounding objects from damage caused by the lightning. In this invention, the arc is guided by the ignition induction magnetic material so that the arc is stretched toward the contact arc part, thereby reducing the energy density of the arc, and the two discharge sections on the contact arc part attract the stretched arc, so that the contact arc part receives the energy of the arc (e.g., thermal energy) and extinguishes the arc, thereby protecting surrounding objects in the relay from damage caused by the arc. [0007] 1A to 6B. The non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 of the present invention performs a charging operation or a discharging operation so that two electrodes can be connected arbitrarily to establish electrical continuity without having to consider positive and negative polarity, and the non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 has a base 10, an electromagnetic coil assembly 11, a joint assembly member 12, a fixed contact assembly member 13, and a movable contact assembly member 14. The electromagnetic coil assembly 11, the joint assembly member 12, the fixed contact assembly member 13, and the movable contact assembly member 14 are each provided on the base 10, and the joint assembly member 12 is provided on one side of the electromagnetic coil assembly 11 and is operated according to the driving state of the electromagnetic coil assembly 11. The non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 is characterized in that the fixed contact assembly 13 has two fixed conductive pieces 131, a first fixed contact 1321, and a second fixed contact 1322, the two fixed conductive pieces 131 are installed symmetrically and one end of each extends outside the base 10, the first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322 are each installed on the fixed conductive piece 131, the movable contact assembly 14 has a movable elastic piece 141, a first movable contact 1421, and a second movable contact 1422, the movable elastic piece 141 has a gap extending inward from one end of the movable elastic piece 141, and the first movable contact The point 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 are respectively provided on the movable elastic piece 141 and are located on both sides of the gap, the first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322 correspond to each other, the movable elastic piece 141 has a connection section 1411 on the side opposite to the installation side of the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422, and the connection section 1411 is adapted to contact or separate the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 with the first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322 by being linked with the connecting joint assembly member 12. The base 10 of the non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 further has a spacing block 16, which is located between the two fixed conductive pieces 131, and the movable elastic piece 141 is arranged to straddle the spacing block 16, and the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 are both arranged on both sides of the spacing block 16 so as to move in a stroke.Among them, the spacing block 16 has an ignition magnet 15, which achieves an arc blowing effect, and the arc during operation can form an energy attenuation under the action of the spacing block 16 and the ignition magnet 15, and further achieve an arc extinguishing effect. Referring to the example of FIG. 1C, when the second movable contact 1422 and the second fixed contact 1322 are separated from each other or contacted with each other, FIG. 1C shows a state in which they are separated from each other, and the generated arc (represented by an arc line in FIG. 1C) is attracted to the position of the spacing block 16 according to the action of the spacing block 16 and the ignition magnet 15. At the same time, due to the above-mentioned connection characteristic, the ignition magnet 15 is formed in a state close to an integral structure with the spacing block 16, which can be more useful in isolating and removing the arc. Specifically, the bottom surface of the spacing block 16 may be provided with a receiving recess 161 for installing the ignition magnet 15. More preferably, the base 10 may have an asymmetrical structural configuration, in which the depth of the area where the spacing block 16 is installed (i.e., the front side of the base 10 shown in Figure 1A) is made slightly greater than the depth of the area where the electromagnetic coil assembly 11 is installed (i.e., the rear side of the base 10 shown in Figure 1A), and this depth difference reduces the height of the rear area of the base 10, thereby making it possible to more suitably reduce the overall volume of the non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1.
[0008] Through the above structure, the non-polar electromagnetic relay 1 can achieve the effect of "non-polarity". The term "non-polarity" used here means that, as described above, there is no need to consider positive and negative polarity, and the charging or discharging operation can be performed so that the two electrodes can be connected arbitrarily to achieve electrical conduction. When the structure of the non-polar electromagnetic relay 1 is limited to the above characteristic conditions, the parts of the two fixed conductive pieces 131 that extend outside the base 10 can be assembled and fixed to the electrodes to be connected arbitrarily, and regardless of the current conduction direction, all arcs generated when the non-polar electromagnetic relay 1 is operated can be smoothly extinguished by the action of the spacing block 16 and the arc-inducing magnetic material 15 therein. This can effectively change the unidirectional current application mode of the existing clapper-type electromagnetic relay, and prevent damage to the relay due to arcs generated once the current is conducted in the reverse direction.
[0009] More specifically, referring to the examples of Figures 5A and 5B, in those figures, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 has opposing north and south poles, and when a current flows from the first movable contact 1421 toward the first fixed contact 1321, and the first fixed contact 1321 and the first movable contact 1421 are in close proximity to the north pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the south pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 guides the arc so that the arc is extended toward the movable elastic piece 141. Then, the current on the other side flows from the second fixed contact 1322 toward the second movable contact 1422, and when the second fixed contact 1322 and the second movable contact 1422 are in the magnetic field close to the S pole of the ignition magnet 15 while moving away from the N pole of the ignition magnet 15, the ignition magnet 15 stretches the arc so that it contacts the base 10, and extinguishes the arc. This is as shown in FIG. 5A. Alternatively, when the current flows from the first fixed contact 1321 toward the first movable contact 1421, and the first fixed contact 1321 and the first movable contact 1421 are close to the S pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the N pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 guides the arc so that the arc is stretched toward the movable elastic piece 141, and then, when the current on the other side flows from the second movable contact 1422 toward the second fixed contact 1322, and the second fixed contact 1322 and the second movable contact 1422 are close to the N pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the S pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 stretches the arc so that the arc contacts the base 10, and extinguishes the arc. This is as shown in FIG. 5B.
[0010] Through the above-mentioned structural arrangement, the arc can be made to flow toward the movable elastic piece 141 as much as possible. In addition, the spacing block 16 has the function of blocking a part of the arc that does not move in the above-mentioned direction. The arc is essentially like lightning, which has no effect on the structure and in principle exhibits a random radiation state. In order to solve the phenomenon and effectively extinguish the arc, the clapper-type non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 forms a guide-extinguishing effect on the arc through the spacing block 16 and the basic structure of the ignition-attracting magnetic body 15 installed therein. Furthermore, when the non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 is installed in the above-mentioned manner, it has the effect of making the arc flow toward the movable elastic piece 141, and then extinguishing the arc. The symbols N and S shown in Figures 5A and 5B indicate the positions of the N pole and S pole of the ignition-attracting magnetic body 15, respectively.
[0011] Refer to the examples of Figures 6A and 6B. When the current flows from the second movable contact 1422 to the second fixed contact 1322, and the second fixed contact 1322 and the second movable contact 1422 are close to the S pole of the ignition magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the N pole of the ignition magnetic body 15, the ignition magnetic body 15 guides the arc so that the arc is stretched toward the movable elastic piece 141, and then, when the current on the other side flows from the first fixed contact 1321 to the first movable contact 1421, and the first fixed contact 1321 and the first movable contact 1421 are close to the N pole of the ignition magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the S pole of the ignition magnetic body 15, the ignition magnetic body 15 stretches the arc so that the arc contacts the base 10, and extinguishes the arc. This is as shown in Figure 6A. Alternatively, when the current flows from the second fixed contact 1322 to the second movable contact 1422, and the second fixed contact 1322 and the second movable contact 1422 are close to the N pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the S pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 guides the arc so that the arc is stretched toward the movable elastic piece 141, and then, when the current on the other side flows from the first movable contact 1421 to the first fixed contact 1321, and the first fixed contact 1321 and the first movable contact 1421 are close to the S pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15 while being in a magnetic field away from the N pole of the ignition induction magnetic body 15, the ignition induction magnetic body 15 stretches the arc so that the arc contacts the base 10, and extinguishes the arc. This is as shown in FIG. 6B. Under the above structural condition, the effect of mainly guiding the arc toward the movable elastic piece 141 can be achieved, and in the following description, the arc is guided and extinguished, and the part of the arc that is not in the radial direction in line with the spacing block 16 is blocked and cancelled. The symbols N and S shown in Figures 6A and 6B respectively indicate the positions of the N pole and S pole of the ignition attracting magnetic body 15.
[0012] Regarding a preferred structure example of the movable elastic piece 141, the movable elastic piece 141 can have a contact arc part 1410, and the contact arc part 1410 includes a connection section 1411 and two discharge sections 1412 that are exposed to the outside and not shielded and are symmetrically installed. More specifically, the contact arc part 1410 can be roughly defined as the movable elastic piece 141 that is not an area used to install the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422, and the part in the area that serves to connect with the joint assembly member 12 is the connection section 1411, and the section in the above area that is exposed to the outside and not shielded here is presented as two discharge sections 1412 and serves to attract the arc. Regarding the structural aspect of this embodiment, taking Figures 1A and 1D as an example, the contact arc portion 1410 includes a connection section 1411 (i.e., the dashed line portion in Figure 1A) that is fitted into the connecting joint assembly member 12 above the movable elastic piece 141, and an area exposed from the outside of the upper connecting joint assembly member 12, and the area exposed from the outside of the upper connecting joint assembly member 12 is, namely, two discharge sections 1412 (i.e., in Figures 1A and 1D, the portion exposed from the outside of the connecting joint assembly member 12 and where the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 are provided at a position adjacent to the terminal). Through the structure of the contact arc part 1410 and the two discharge sections 1412, when the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 on both the left and right sides are separated from the corresponding first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322, the arc is used to conduct electricity and present a state of non-disconnection, a high electric field is formed in the air surrounding the two discharge sections 1412 and released, the released air has conductivity and generates a discharge phenomenon around the discharge section 1412 to attract the arc, the ignition induction magnetic material 15 guides the arc so that the arc is stretched toward the contact arc part 1410 to reduce the energy density of the arc, and then the two discharge sections 1412 on the contact arc part 1410 attract the stretched arc. As shown by the arc line in FIG. 1D, the arrow below the arc line in FIG. 1D indicates the magnetic field direction, so that the contact arc part 1410 can receive the energy of the arc and extinguish the arc.Accordingly, since lightning is essentially a type of arc, the present invention can prevent surrounding objects from being destroyed by lightning by utilizing the tip discharge effect of a lightning conductor to attract lightning strikes, and the arc is guided by the arc-inducing magnetic material 15 in the relay so that the arc is stretched toward the contact arc portion 1410 to reduce the energy density of the arc, and then the stretched arc is attracted by two discharge sections 1412 on the contact arc portion 1410, so that the contact arc portion 1410 receives the energy of the arc (e.g., thermal energy) and extinguishes the arc, and the tip discharge effect of the lightning conductor is utilized to attract the arc, thereby preventing surrounding objects in the relay from being destroyed by the arc.
[0013] In addition, the spacing block 16 further includes a double-sided energy absorbing part 160, which includes a first absorbing surface 1601 and a second absorbing surface 1602, the first absorbing surface 1601 and the second absorbing surface 1602 are arranged relative to each other to absorb the thermal energy of the arc separately, and the first absorbing surface 1601 and the second absorbing surface 1602 are non-magnetic polymers. The double-sided energy absorbing part 160 can absorb a part of the thermal energy generated after the arc toward the contact arc part 1410 first contacts the first absorbing surface 1601 or the second absorbing surface 1602 separately, thereby reducing the damage of the relay caused by the arc, and then the contact arc part 1410 receives the energy (e.g., thermal energy) of the arc again to extinguish the arc.
[0014] More preferably, the spacing block 16 has a base 162 and a protruding portion 163, the base 162 may be a rectangular structure, and the protruding portion 163 is generally L-shaped and protrudes from the front side and the top side of the base 162, and more preferably protrudes from the center of the base 162. The ignition attracting magnetic body 15 is located inside the base 162. In addition, from the viewpoint of the spacing block 16, in consideration of the installation of the ignition attracting magnetic material 15 and the achievement of the purpose of the application of “non-polarity”, by making the spacing block 16 have a structure having a base 162 and a protruding portion 163, firstly, the protruding portion 163 is configured to protrude from the base 162, and the active area of the spacing block 16 can be enlarged through the protruding portion 163, so that the arc generated during operation can be more effectively blocked and the arc blocking and removal functions can be ensured; secondly, by utilizing the structure of the base 162 to accommodate the ignition attracting magnetic material 15, the space of the base 10 can be used more efficiently, and there is no need to install a set between the two fixed conductive pieces 131 according to the ignition attracting magnetic material 15. Instead, a corresponding space needs to be reserved separately in the base 10 in advance, which may cause inconvenience in production. In addition, when the double-sided energy absorption portion 160 is provided, the double-sided energy absorption portion 160 may be a partial structure of the base 162, i.e., located on the base 162, and of course, may be located in a structural partition block different from the base 162.
[0015] Under the structural aspect of the spacing block 16 having a base 162 and a protruding portion 163, the non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 is applicable to 600VDC and a power range of 10-50A, and the above structural features achieve the effect of breaking and extinguishing an arc. Through the special structural aspect of the spacing block 16, the function of breaking and extinguishing an arc can be exerted, so that the electromagnetic relay achieves the application of "non-polarized".
[0016] The non-polarized electromagnetic relay 1 can be easily applied to large current transmission needs because it can easily carry a relatively large current. In addition, the spacing block 16 is made of organic or inorganic polymer materials such as nylon, LCP (LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER), silicon dioxide, and thermoplastic.
[0017] 1A and 4, in its preferred application state, the joint assembly 12 includes a support frame 121, an elastic member 122, a magnetic attraction member 123, and a fixed member 124. The support frame 121 is provided on the electromagnetic coil assembly 11, one end of the elastic member 122 is fixed to the support frame 121, and the other end is fixed to the magnetic attraction member 123. The fixed member 124 is assembled to the magnetic attraction member 123, and the connection section 1411 of the movable elastic piece 141 is provided on the fixed member 124. When a magnetic force is generated in the electromagnetic coil assembly 11, the magnetic attraction member 123 is attracted by the electromagnetic coil assembly 11 to follow the fixed member 124, thereby bringing the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 into contact with the first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322, and at the same time, forming a force applied to the elastic member 122. When no magnetic force is generated in the electromagnetic coil assembly 11, the magnetic attraction member 123 and the fixed member 124 receive the acting force from the elastic member 122 and return to their original positions, separating the first movable contact 1421 and the second movable contact 1422 from the first fixed contact 1321 and the second fixed contact 1322. The above structure is advantageous in stably following the movement of the movable contact assembly 14. The elastic member 122 may be in the form of a spring or an elastic piece.
