Abstract

To provide a technique with which, when an electronic certificate is distributed from a management server to an image forming apparatus, appropriate holding of the electronic certificate in a distribution destination image forming apparatus can be expected.SOLUTION: An in-house sever 20 can store, every electronic certificate held in a label printer 50, certificate information indicating the electronic certificate and importance information in association with each other, and an electronic certificate necessary for communication with the in-house server 20 is associated with importance information indicating that the electronic certificate is important. When receiving an additional instruction for the electronic certificate, the in-house sever 20 creates a list of electronic certificates associated with the importance information indicating that the certificates are important, and outputs the additional instruction to the label printer 50 together with the list. The label printer 50 acquires a new electronic certificate, does not delete the electronic certificates included in the input list, of existing electronic certificates, and holds the newly-acquire electronic certificate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
