Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a line adjuster (also referred to as a line adjuster) that is attached to a spool of a fishing reel and adjusts the amount of fishing line wound around a fishing line winding barrel, and a spool suitable therefor.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, a line adjuster attached to a spool of a fishing reel is known. The line adjuster is attached to the fishing line winding barrel of the spool before the fishing line is wound, and for example, a configuration disclosed in Patent Document 1 is known. The line adjuster disclosed in this publication is configured in a cylindrical shape with a certain thickness, and by attaching this to the fishing line winding barrel, the height of the fishing line winding barrel is adjusted. As a result, it is possible to eliminate the laborious work called bottom winding and to omit the lower fishing line that is not used very often.

[0003] The line adjuster disclosed in Patent Document 1 is configured such that two divided bodies formed in a semi-cylindrical shape are arranged along the surface of the fishing line winding barrel so as to be integrated into a cylindrical shape so that they can be attached to the fishing line winding barrel. For this reason, each divided body is provided with an engaging claw and an engaging groove that engages with the engaging claw on end faces facing each other.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0005] Since the conventional thread take-up amount adjuster described above only engages two divided bodies in the circumferential direction, it will idle (slip and rotate with respect to the spool) with respect to the fishing line winding cylinder. In particular, in a two-bearing type reel, when casting or when a fish bites and the fishing line is wound in, if idling occurs, problems such as line tangling and a decrease in the line winding force will occur.

[0006] The present invention has been made paying attention to the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a thread take-up amount adjuster that does not idle with respect to the fishing line winding cylinder, and a spool suitable therefor.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0007] In order to achieve the above object, the thread take-up amount adjuster according to the present invention is attached to the fishing line winding cylinder of the spool of a fishing reel, and includes a plurality of divided bodies arranged along the outer peripheral surface of the fishing line winding cylinder. At least one of the plurality of divided bodies is provided with a fixing structure for detachably fixing to the fishing line winding cylinder.

[0008] The above-described thread take-up amount adjuster arranges a plurality of divided bodies along the outer peripheral surface of the fishing line winding cylinder of the spool. At least one of the fishing line winding cylinder and the plurality of divided bodies is provided with a fixing structure, and by this fixing structure, the thread take-up amount adjuster is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the fishing line winding cylinder. Therefore, during actual fishing, the thread take-up amount adjuster does not idle with respect to the fishing line winding cylinder.

[0009] Further, the above-described spool can be attached to and detached from a fishing reel as parts together with the thread take-up amount adjuster. In this way, the spool, which is a parts component, can detachably fix a thread take-up amount adjuster composed of divided bodies that adjust the winding amount of the fishing line wound around the fishing line winding cylinder to the fishing line winding cylinder. The fishing line winding cylinder is characterized in that it is formed with a concave portion that fits with a convex portion formed on the inner surface of the thread take-up amount adjuster and a screw hole for a screw member that fixes the thread take-up amount adjuster.

[0010] According to the above configuration, a spool that can be attached to and detached from a fishing reel and is a part to which a thread winding amount adjuster can be fixed can be obtained.

Effects of the Invention

[0011] According to the present invention, a thread winding amount adjuster that does not cause idling with the fishing line winding drum portion, and a spool suitable therefor can be obtained.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0013] Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings, embodiments of the spool and the thread winding amount adjuster according to the present invention will be described. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of a fishing reel to which the present embodiment is applied and a thread take-up amount adjuster attached to the spool thereof. In this figure, a two-bearing type reel 1 is shown as an example of a fishing reel, and two thread take-up amount adjusters 20 and 50 having different wall thicknesses attached to the spool 5 are shown. In this way, by preparing a plurality of thread take-up amount adjusters having different wall thicknesses, the thread take-up amount with respect to the spool 5 can be easily changed. In FIG. 1, two types of thread take-up amount adjusters are shown: a thread take-up amount adjuster (large-diameter type) 20 with a thick wall and a thread take-up amount adjuster (small-diameter type) 50 with a thin wall.

[0014] The reel body 1A of the two-bearing type reel 1 according to the present embodiment includes left and right side plates 4A and 4B that cover the left and right frames 2a and 2b with left and right covers 3a and 3b. Between the left and right side plates, a spool 5 around which fishing line is wound is rotatably supported via bearings.

[0015] The spool 5 is formed of a lightweight metal such as an aluminum alloy or a copper alloy, and includes a fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a around which fishing line is wound and flange portions 5b integrally formed on both left and right sides thereof. Therefore, the fishing line is regulated by the left and right flange portions 5b and wound around the fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a.

[0016] A handle 7 is provided on the right side plate 4B. By performing a winding operation on the handle 7, the spool 5 is rotationally driven via a driving force transmission mechanism (not shown) disposed inside the right side plate. Further, a known clutch mechanism for switching the spool 5 between a power transmission state and a power cut-off state is disposed inside the right side plate. This clutch mechanism is configured to switch from a clutch ON state (power transmission state) to an OFF state (power cut-off state; spool free rotation state) by pressing down a clutch switching operation member 10 disposed between the left and right side plates on the rear side of the spool 5. It should be noted that the return from the clutch OFF state to the clutch ON state can be performed by rotating the handle 7 via a known return mechanism.

[0017] A known level wind device is disposed between the left and right side plates 4A and 4B on the fishing line payout direction side of the spool 5. By rotating the handle 7, this level wind device is configured such that a fishing line guide body through which the fishing line is inserted moves left and right, and it has a function of evenly winding the fishing line around the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a of the spool 5 as the fishing line is wound.

[0018] Next, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, the configurations of the thread take-up amount adjusters 20 and 50 will be described. In the following description, the configuration of the large-diameter thread take-up amount adjuster 20 will be described. Since the small-diameter thread take-up amount adjuster 50 has the same configuration as the large-diameter thread take-up amount adjuster 20 except for the wall thickness, the same reference numerals are given to the same components, and detailed descriptions thereof are omitted.

[0019] The thread take-up amount adjuster 20 is formed of a lightweight material such as resin or FRP, preferably a material having a weight equal to or less than the weight of the thread take-up amount corresponding to its wall thickness. By attaching the thread take-up amount adjuster 20 to the outer peripheral surface 5a' of the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a of the spool 5, its height is adjusted by the wall thickness, and the fishing line wound on the bottom can be omitted.

[0020] The thread take-up amount adjuster 20 includes a plurality of divided bodies 21 and 22 (in the small-diameter configuration, divided bodies 51 and 52) that are formed in a cylindrical shape (a ring shape extending in the axial direction) so as to be disposed along the outer peripheral surface 5a' of the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a of the spool 5. The thread take-up amount adjuster 20 of the present embodiment is composed of two parts (two divided bodies), each of which is formed in a substantially semi-cylindrical shape of 180°.

[0021] The inner surfaces 21a and 22a (in the small-diameter configuration, inner surfaces 51a and 52a) of the divided bodies 21 and 22 are formed so as to be in close contact with the outer peripheral surface 5a' of the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a. When both divided bodies 21 and 22 are attached so as to be in close contact with the outer peripheral surface 5a' of the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a, they are detachably fixed to the outer peripheral surface 5a' by a fixing structure 30 so as not to rotate relative to the spool 5 (idle).

[0022] The fixing structure 30 of this embodiment includes a recess 5d formed in the fishing line winding drum portion 5a and convex portions 31 formed on the inner surfaces 21a and 22a of the respective divided bodies 21 and 22 so as to fit into the recess 5d.

[0023] That is, by fitting the convex portions 31 formed on the inner surfaces of the respective divided bodies 21 and 22 into the recess 5d of the fishing line winding drum portion 5a, both of them are integrated with the fishing line winding drum portion 5a to form a cylindrical shape. As a result, the spool amount adjuster 20 integrated with the fishing line winding drum portion 5a is prevented from idling with the spool due to the above-mentioned fitting of the unevenness, and it becomes possible to stably wind the fishing line around the spool amount adjuster 20. Regarding the fitting structure by the above-mentioned unevenness, it is possible to suppress idling even if it is provided only on one of the divided bodies, but it is preferably provided on both of the divided bodies.

[0024] In addition to the fitting by the above-mentioned unevenness, the fixing structure 30 of this embodiment has a screwing structure for fixing the respective divided bodies 21 and 22 to the fishing line winding drum portion 5a by a screw member 34 as shown in FIG. 2. Specifically, screw holes 35 extending in the radial direction are formed in the respective divided bodies 21 and 22, and fixing screw holes 5e are formed on the surface of the fishing line winding drum portion 5a at positions corresponding to the screw holes 35.

[0025] In this case, when the convex portions 31 of the respective divided bodies 21 and 22 are fitted into the recess 5d of the fishing line winding drum portion 5a, the screw holes 35 of the respective divided bodies are positioned so as to coincide with the fixing screw holes 5e of the fishing line winding drum portion. In this state, by screwing the screw member 34 into the screw holes 35 and the fixing screw holes 5e, the respective divided bodies 21 and 22 are surely locked and fixed to the fishing line winding drum portion 5a.

[0026] As in this embodiment, by providing the screw member 34 as the fixing structure 30, the idling of the thread take-up adjuster 20 is surely prevented, and since it does not displace in the radial direction, the fishing line can be stably wound around the surfaces 21b, 22b of each divided body (in the small-diameter configuration, the surfaces 51b, 52b). Further, in such a configuration, when screwing, it becomes possible to fix (wind, tie, etc.) the fishing line to the screw member 34, and the fishing line can be surely fixed to prevent idling between the fishing line and the thread take-up adjuster.

[0027] Furthermore, by providing the fitting structure by the unevenness and the fixing structure by the screw member 34, first, the convex portion 31 of each divided body 21, 22 is fitted and temporarily fixed to the concave portion 5d of the fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a, and in this state, the screw member 34 can be fastened, making the fixing work of the screw member 34 easier. Also, by configuring the divided body with two parts, the above-described fixing work and removal work (replacement work) can be easily performed.

[0028] As shown in FIG. 5, the above-described divided bodies 21, 22 can be attached to the spool 5 in a state of being incorporated in the two-bearing type reel 1.

[0029]

[0030] That is, one divided body 21 is fixed to the exposed fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a of the spool 5 by fitting and screwing the unevenness of the fixing structure 30 (see FIG. 5(a)). Then, with the divided body 21 fixed to the fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a of the spool 5, the spool 5 is rotated approximately 180° (see FIGS. 5(b) and 5(c)), and in this state, the other divided body 22 is fixed by fitting and screwing the unevenness of the fixing structure 30, whereby the thread take-up adjuster 20 is locked and fixed to the spool 5 (see FIG. 5(d)).

[0029] In the above-described configuration, when the thread take-up adjuster 20 is attached to the fishing line winding cylinder portion 5a, it is preferably formed such that a gap S is generated between the end faces 21c, 22c of each divided body 21, 22 (in the small-diameter configuration, the end faces 51c, 52c).

[0030] When the two divided bodies are integrated in this way, a gap S is formed between the end faces, enabling easy and correct attachment to the spool 5 and ensuring protection of the spool surface (bottom diameter). Also, there is room to wind and tighten the fishing line, making it possible to enhance the adhesive force even further. Furthermore, when removing the divided bodies 21, 22 from the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a, a fitting (such as a minus driver) T can be easily inserted into the gap S, allowing the divided bodies 21, 22 to be easily removed from the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a. In this case, by forming recesses 21d, 22d (in the case of a small-diameter configuration, recesses 51d, 52d) in the central portions of the end faces 21c, 22c, it becomes easier to insert the fitting S and enables stable removal of the divided bodies 21, 22.

[0031] In the above-described configuration, by forming the protruding amount of the convex portion 31 formed on the divided bodies 21, 22 to be longer than the wall thickness of the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a, the convex portion 31 can be radially pushed out from the inner surface of the spool 5, making it possible to easily remove the winding amount adjusting tool 20 from the spool.

[0032] In the above-described fishing reel 1, the spool 5 may be manufactured and sold as a separate parts member from the reel body. In such a form, a recess 5d for fitting the convex portion 31 formed on the inner surface of the winding amount adjusting tool 20, and further, a fixing screw hole 5e for fixing the winding amount adjusting tool 20 may be formed in the fishing line winding barrel portion 5a of the separately sold spool 5. By forming such a recess 5d and the fixing screw hole 5e for fixing the winding amount adjusting tool 20, it is possible to improve the design, reduce the weight of the spool, and enable attachment of the winding amount adjusting tools 20, 50 as parts.

[0033] The embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be variously modified. For example, the divided bodies that make up the thread spool quantity adjusters 20 and 50 may be composed of three or more parts, and for the fixing structure that prevents the idling of the spool 5 and the thread spool quantity adjusters 20, it is possible to appropriately deform, such as the position where the uneven portions are formed and the number of formations. Further, for the fixing structure 30, it may be configured not to be provided on all the divided bodies, and the thread spool quantity adjuster may be fixed to the spool 5 only by fixing by fitting of the uneven portions or only by screwing.

[0034] Also, for the thread spool quantity adjuster, by preparing a plurality of those with different wall thicknesses, it becomes possible to wind a fishing line (fishing line with different thicknesses) of a different size around a fishing line of a substantially constant length.

[0035] In the above-described embodiment, a double-bearing type reel was exemplified as the fishing reel, but it is also applicable to the spools of other types of fishing reels such as spinning reels.
