Claims
1. A skin soothing composition comprising epicatechin or a soybean extract containing epicatechin as an active ingredient.
2. 2. The skin soothing composition according to claim 1, wherein the soybean extract is an extract of a new variety of soybean with accession number KCTC14220BP.
3. 3. The skin soothing composition of claim 2, wherein the soybean extract contains 2% to 7% by weight of epicatechin based on the total weight of an 80% by weight aqueous ethanol extract of the new variety soybean.
4. The skin soothing composition according to claim 1, wherein the epicatechin or soybean extract containing the epicatechin is contained in an amount of 1 ppm to 5,000 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.
5. The skin soothing composition of claim 1 , wherein the skin soothing is achieved by alleviating or suppressing itching.
6. The skin soothing composition according to claim 1, wherein the skin soothing is achieved by improving the skin barrier.
7. The skin soothing composition of claim 1 , wherein the skin soothing effect is achieved by maintaining skin moisture.
8. 10. The skin soothing composition of claim 1, wherein said skin soothing is achieved by suppressing flushing.
9. The skin soothing composition according to claim 1 , wherein the skin soothing effect is achieved by improving skin cohesion.
10. The skin soothing composition according to claim 1, wherein the skin soothing effect is achieved by improving skin allergies.
11. A cosmetic composition comprising the skin soothing composition according to any one of claims 1 to 10.
12. The cosmetic composition according to claim 11, wherein the cosmetic composition comprises 0.1% to 10% by weight of the skin soothing composition, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
13. The cosmetic composition according to claim 11, wherein the cosmetic composition is for relieving itching.
14. The cosmetic composition according to claim 13, wherein the itching is alleviated by inhibiting degranulation of mast cells.
