AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing containers for transporting dry goods face inefficiencies due to the time wasted in retrieving lids and shelves, which can lead to delays and increased costs in logistics operations.

Method used

A container system is introduced, featuring a removable lid with inwardly protruding T-shaped lid attachments that correspond with recesses on the container sidewall, allowing the lid to be securely placed without interfering with loading/unloading operations.

Benefits of technology

This solution minimizes interference during container operations, reduces the risk of lids and shelves being left behind, and enhances the overall efficiency of logistics processes by streamlining the handling and return of container components.

Abstract

Disclosed is a container of the large foldable container (i.e., "LFC") type having a removable lid and container sidewalls. The removable lid comprises at least one lid attachment portion projecting inwardly from the back surface of the lid. The container sidewalls comprise at least one corresponding lid receiving portion for receiving the lid attachment portion. The at least one lid attachment portion and the corresponding lid receiving portion are configured such that by housing the at least one lid attachment portion within the at least one corresponding lid receiving portion with at least a majority and in most cases all of the back surface of the lid facing the outer surface of the container sidewalls, the lid can be placed on the container sidewalls by a user. In such a manner, the removable lid can be easily and conveniently placed on the container sidewalls without compromising access to the sealable volume of the container.
