Apparatus and method for controlling a key unit

Abstract

The device (100) and method include a controller (20), a storage unit (60), and an input unit (10). The input unit (10) accommodates a number of key units (11) for generating a signal (14). Each key unit (11) is movable between at least two positions (12, 13) and triggers the signal (14) when moving from the first position (12) to the second position (13). To brake the movement of the key units (11) in a controlled manner, an electrically controllable braking device (1) is assigned to the key units (11). The braking device (1) includes two braking components (2, 3) that are movable relative to each other and have an electrically controllable braking action settable between them. The controller (20) is therefore configured and designed to specify an actuation sequence (70) for the key units (11) and to set the braking action of at least one key unit (11) according to the actuation sequence (70).
