The pushing protrusion 34 may also be provided so as to push in a portion of the rear surface of the base fabric 32 in the up-down direction. For example, as shown in FIG. 2 , the pushing protrusion 34 may be provided on a portion of the base fabric 32 that is housed in the side support 18. The pushing protrusion 34 may be formed integrally with the backboard 20.
[0014] The front end surface of the pushing protrusion 34 pushes against the rear surface of the base cloth 32, increasing the distance between the base cloth 32 and the surface 21a of the side cover portion 21 facing the interior of the vehicle seat 10. This prevents the surface 21a of the side cover portion 21 facing the interior of the seat from rubbing against the base cloth 32 when the backboard 20 is attached. The folded base cloth 32 deforms, so if the pushing protrusion 34 were not provided, it may be positioned closer to the backboard 20, as shown by the dashed line (reference symbol 32B) in FIG. 3 . Taking this into consideration, the side cover portion 21 of the backboard 20 needs to be positioned outward in the width direction, as shown by the dashed line (reference symbol 21B), so as not to come into contact with the base cloth 32.
