AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

As superconducting magnet devices become smaller, the available surface area for fixing working gas piping increases, leading to challenges in organizing the routing of multiple cryogenic refrigerators and their associated piping.

Method used

A superconducting magnet apparatus with a vacuum vessel, superconducting coil, and a piping support that organizes the routing of working gas pipes from multiple cold heads to a common route to compressors, using a piping support outside the vacuum vessel.

Benefits of technology

The solution allows for organized routing of working gas piping, alleviating space restrictions and improving maintenance workability by using a piping support to manage the increased number of cryogenic refrigerators.

Abstract

To provide a superconducting magnet device in which working gas piping of a cryogenic refrigerator can be laid in order.SOLUTION: The superconducting magnet device 10 includes a vacuum container 12, a superconducting coil disposed in the vacuum container 12, a plurality of cold heads 32 installed in the vacuum container 12 to cool the superconducting coil, a plurality of compressors 34 disposed outside the vacuum container 12, a plurality of working gas pipes 36 connecting the plurality of cold heads 32 to the plurality of compressors 34, and a pipe support 40 disposed outside the vacuum container 12 and closer to the vacuum container 12 than the plurality of compressors 34 to support the plurality of working gas pipes 36. The plurality of working gas pipes 36 are routed along individual routes from the plurality of cold heads 32 to the pipe support body 40, and are further routed along a common route from the pipe support body 40 toward the plurality of compressors 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
