Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to hair removal.
Background Art
[0002] Conventionally, as shown in Patent Document 1, there is a hair remover configured by joining a pair of holding pieces at a base end portion, with the end portion on the side that夹s hair of each holding piece being the tip end portion and the end portion on the opposite side being the base end portion. This hair remover has a long, rod-like shape with the direction from the base end portion to the tip end portion being the longitudinal direction. When the direction in which the pair of holding pieces are arranged is the thickness direction and the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction is the width direction, the width of the pair of holding pieces is narrower than the middle portion at the tip end portion and the base end portion, but is generally of the same width and is about several millimeters to 1 centimeter.
[0003] Also, the hair remover shown in Patent Document 2 is composed of a pair of holding pieces with one direction being the longitudinal direction, and has a working end portion with a rounded tip and a base end portion where the pair of holding pieces are joined, and is structured to have a narrow neck portion in the part from the working end portion to the finger-hooking portion in the middle.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0005] There is a demand for a way to remove unwanted hair in areas that are not visible without a mirror, such as the face, without having to use a mirror. However, with tweezers that are long and slender, like those in Patent Documents 1 and 2, the area for gripping the hair is not very wide, making it difficult to pinch and remove hair without looking in a mirror, in other words, to pinch the hair without looking. It is also necessary to ensure that the tweezers do not cause injury to the skin when pinching hair by touch.
[0006] This disclosure aims to provide tweezers that make it easier to grasp hairs even when trying to pick them up by feel, and that are less likely to cause injury if they come into contact with the skin. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] One aspect of the present disclosure is a pair of tweezers comprising a tip portion (11, 21) with a hair-grabbing portion (11a, 21a) on one side of a unidirectional orientation, and a base portion (12, 22) on the other side of the unidirectional orientation, with a pair of gripping pieces (10, 20) connected to each other at the base portion, The direction in which the pair of clamping pieces are overlapped is defined as the thickness direction, and the direction perpendicular to one of the thickness directions is defined as the width direction. The outer shape of the tip is symmetrical with respect to a center line (CL1) running in one direction, and the tipmost point (P1) that protrudes most to one side of the tip is configured with a predetermined radius of curvature, and even as it moves away from the tip in the width direction, it is configured as a convex curve that is convex in the direction away from the center line throughout. The outer shape of the hair-grabbing portion is a convex curve that follows the outer shape of the tip, and the width dimension (L4) of the hair-grabbing portion is 20 mm or more.
[0008] As described above, the outer shape of the tip and the hair-gripping part is convex and curved, and the dimensions of the hair-gripping part in the width direction of the tweezers are 20 mm or more, which is larger than the width of the thumb, allowing for stable gripping of hair over a wide area. In addition, when unwanted hair is noticed, it can be quickly and easily removed without looking, and the tweezers are designed to prevent injury even if they come into contact with the skin.
[0009] The reference numerals in parentheses attached to each component indicate an example of the correspondence between that component and the specific components described in the embodiments described later. [Brief explanation of the drawing]
[0010] [Figure 1] This is a perspective view of tweezers according to the first embodiment. [Figure 2] Figure 1 is a top view of the tweezers. [Figure 3] Figure 1 is a side view of the tweezers shown. [Figure 4] Figure 1 is a front view of the tweezers, seen from the tip side. [Figure 5] Figure 1 is a rear view of the tweezers shown, viewed from the base end. [Figure 6] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of tweezers. [Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0011] The embodiments of this disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. In each embodiment, including the other embodiments described below, parts that are the same or equivalent to each other will be denoted by the same reference numerals.
[0012] (First Embodiment) Referring to Figures 1 to 6, the tweezers 1 according to the first embodiment will be described. The tweezers 1 shown in Figures 1 to 6 have a pair of gripping pieces 10 and 20, with one end of the pair of gripping pieces 10 and 20 joined together and the other end open. Hereinafter, of the pair of gripping pieces 10 and 20, the one located at the top of the paper in Figures 1 and 3 will be called the first gripping piece 10, and the one located at the bottom of the paper will be called the second gripping piece 20. In addition, one direction, in Figures 2 and 3, the left-right direction of the paper will be called the length direction, the direction in which the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20 are aligned and perpendicular to the length direction will be called the thickness direction, and the direction perpendicular to both the length direction and the thickness direction will be called the width direction. Furthermore, a line along the length direction that passes through the centers of the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20 in the thickness direction and width direction will be called the first centerline CL1, and a line passing through the center in the length direction and along the width direction will be called the second centerline CL2. Furthermore, the line passing through the intersection of the first centerline CL1 and the second centerline CL2, and running along the thickness direction, is called the third centerline CL3.
[0013] The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have tip portions 11 and 21 that clamp hair at one end in the longitudinal direction, and base portions 12 and 22 at the other end. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are positioned facing each other and are joined together at the base portions 12 and 22, as shown in Figures 3 and 5, to form a single unit. The surfaces facing each other are the inner wall surfaces 13 and 23, and the opposite surfaces are the outer wall surfaces 14 and 24.
[0014] Specifically, as shown in Figure 2, the dashed lines to the left of the second centerline CL2 are defined as the tip portions 11 and 21, and the dashed lines to the right of the second centerline CL2 are defined as the base portions 12 and 22. The tip portions 11 and 21 are the portions of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 that protrude in one direction along the length, and are composed of the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a of the inner wall surfaces 13 and 23, which are the parts that pinch the hair, and the outer edges and outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 at positions corresponding to the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a. The base portions 12 and 22 are composed of the portions of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 that connect the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20. In this embodiment, the inner wall surfaces 13 and 23 of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are joined together. In addition to the joining surfaces of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, the base ends 12 and 22 are formed by the outer edges and outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 at positions corresponding to the joining surfaces. The distance from the second center line CL2 to the tip portions 11 and 21 and the distance to the base ends 12 and 22 are arbitrary, but here, as shown by the dashed lines in Figure 2, the distance to the tip portions 11 and 21 is shorter than the distance to the base ends 12 and 22.
[0015] The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 both have an external shape that is symmetrical with respect to the first center line CL1. In addition to the external shape of the tip portions 11 and 21 as viewed from the thickness direction, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are constructed in a convex curve shape from the tip portions 11 and 21 to the position where the width dimension is greatest, i.e., the position of the second center line CL2, so that the width increases continuously. The convex curve shape here means that, as shown in Figure 2, if the outer edge of the tip portions 11 and 21 as viewed from the thickness direction, the position where it intersects with the first center line CL1 is the outermost tip P1, the outermost tip P1 is the most protruding and is composed of a predetermined radius of curvature, and even when moving away from the outermost tip P1 in the width direction, the entire area is composed of a curve that is convex in the direction away from the first center line CL1.
[0016] For example, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are configured to have an elliptical or circular shape when viewed from the thickness direction, and here they are circular. Therefore, when viewed from the thickness direction, the outer shapes of the tip portions 11 and 21 are arc-shaped, and the overall shape of the hair removal tool 1 is also circular. Further, hair-pinching portions 11a and 21a are formed by the portions of the tip portions 11 and 21 that face each other. The shapes of the hair-pinching portions 11a and 21a are the same as the outer shapes of the tip portions 11 and 21. Although a circle can be regarded as a form of an ellipse, in this specification, circles and ellipses are described separately. Therefore, elliptical shapes and circular shapes, and further elliptical arc shapes and circular arc shapes are described separately.
[0017] The constituent materials of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arbitrary. For example, a metal such as stainless steel is used. Then, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are formed by performing metal processing such as pressing on, for example, a circular metal flat plate. The thickness of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 is arbitrary. However, as the thickness increases, the rigidity increases, but the force required during use also increases. Therefore, the thickness is, for example, 2 mm or less, preferably 1 mm. However, the tip portions 11 and 21 are made thinner as the thicknesses of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are farther away from the third center line CL3, and the thickness is several tenths of a millimeter on the outer peripheral side that is farthest from the third center line CL3.
[0018] Also, the joining form at the base end portions 12 and 22 is arbitrary. For example, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are joined by spot-welding a plurality of locations along the width direction or by adhesive fixing.
[0019] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, in the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, portions on the tip end 11, 21 side rather than the base end portions 12, 22 are non-joint portions 15, 25. In the non-joint portions 15, 25, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged with a gap provided therebetween. That is, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are separated from each other at the boundary positions between the base end portions 12, 22 and the non-joint portions 15, 25, in other words, from the portions of the non-joint portions 15, 25 closest to the base end portions 12, 22, and a gap is provided.
[0020] Here, on the boundary side of the non-joint portions 15, 25 with the base end portions 12, 22, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are curved in a direction away from each other. For this reason, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have a structure inclined in a direction away from each other with respect to the first center line CL1. Further, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are curved such that the portions along the second center line CL2 bulge the most, and on the tip end 11, 21 side rather than the second center line CL2, the distance between the tip ends 11, 21 is the closest. On the line of the second center line CL2, the distance between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 may be constant, but here, the distance between them is the farthest at the position intersecting the third center line CL3, and the distance between them gradually approaches as they move away from the third center line CL3.
[0021] Also, in the range that is the hair-picking portions 11a, 21a, the cross-sectional shapes of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 in the radial direction centered on the third center line CL3 are substantially the same shape. That is, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 gradually approach the plane formed by the first center line CL1 and the second center line CL2 as they move away from the third center line CL3, and the distance between them gradually approaches. And on the inner wall surface 13, 23 side of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, the tip ends 11, 21 are chamfered to be planar, and the hair-picking portions 11a, 21a are formed by this portion.
[0022] In the entire area of the hair-pinching portions 11a and 21a, the distance between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 may be equidistant, but here the distance is smallest at the point furthest from the base portions 12 and 22 among the tip portions 11 and 21. Specifically, the distance between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 is shortest at the very tip P1, and the distance between the tip portions 11 and 21 gradually increases as you move away from the very tip P1 along the arc of the outer edge of the tip portions 11 and 21.
[0023] Furthermore, when viewed in a cross-section cut by the plane formed by the first centerline CL1 and the third centerline CL3 shown in Figure 6, the angle between the tangents of the outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 and the first centerline CL1 gradually increases as you move from the base ends 12 and 22 toward the third centerline CL3. At an intermediate position from the base ends 12 and 22 toward the third centerline CL3, this reverses, and the angle between the tangents of the outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 and the first centerline CL1 gradually decreases as you move toward the third centerline CL3. In the portion moving from the third centerline CL3 toward the tip ends 11 and 21, the angle between the tangents of the outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 and the first centerline CL1 gradually increases as you move toward the tip ends 11 and 21. The angle between the tangents of the inner wall surfaces 13 and 23 and the first centerline CL1 is roughly the same as the angle between the tangents of the outer wall surfaces 14 and 24 and the first centerline CL1. However, because the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a are planar, this angle is smaller when viewed from a position closer to the third centerline CL3 than the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a.
[0024] The overall lengthwise dimension L1 of the tweezers 1 is arbitrary. For example, the overall lengthwise dimension L1 of the tweezers 1 can be 30mm to 80mm. This dimension L1 is the diameter of the tweezers 1 when viewed from the thickness direction as a circle, and similarly the maximum widthwise dimension is also 30mm to 80mm. If this dimension L1 exceeds 80mm, it becomes difficult to hold comfortably, and if it is less than 30mm, the force required to grasp the hairs becomes large. For this reason, the above dimensions are preferred, preferably 40mm to 60mm, for example, 55mm.
[0025] Furthermore, the dimensions of the tip portions 11, 21 and the base portions 12, 22 in the longitudinal direction are also arbitrary. The dimension L2 of the tip portions 11, 21 is set according to the range to which the hair-grabbing portions 11a, 21a are to be located. For example, in order to secure a wide range that is easy to grasp, it is necessary to set the range of the hair-grabbing portions 11a, 21a, but since gripping force is difficult to generate near both ends of the hair-grabbing portions 11a, 21a, it is preferable to limit it to a range where gripping force is easily generated. Considering these factors, it is preferable to set the hair-grabbing portions 11a, 21a to an angular range of 30° to 150° with respect to the third center line CL3, which corresponds to the center of the radius of curvature formed by the tip portions 11, 21 at the outermost tip P1, i.e., the center of the elliptical or circular arc. More preferably, the angular range should be 30° to 150° so that it spreads evenly on both sides in the circumferential direction from the first center line CL1. When this angle range is used for the hair-pinching portions 11a and 21a, it is preferable to set dimension L2 to approximately 18 / 1000 to 37 / 100 of dimension L1. This angle range should be wider and easier to generate gripping force, and is preferably set to a range of 45° to 130° centered on the third center line CL3.
[0026] The dimensions L3 of the base portions 12 and 22 are also arbitrary, as long as sufficient joint strength is obtained between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 at the joint, and the non-joint portions 15 and 25 are within a range that allows for easy bending.
[0027] On the other hand, the widthwise dimensions of the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20, that is, the widthwise dimensions of the tweezers 1, are set so as to ensure the widthwise dimension L4 of the hair-grabbing parts 11a and 21a. The hair-grabbing parts 11a and 21a are preferably made larger than the width of a thumb, for example, to make it easier to grasp hairs. Since the average thumb width of Asian men is about 20 mm, it is preferable to set the dimension L4 to 20 mm or more, and the widthwise dimensions of the tweezers 1 need to be larger than that. For this reason, the widthwise dimensions of the tweezers 1 are set so as to satisfy the dimension L4, which is set to 20 mm or more. In addition, although the angle range of the hair-grabbing parts 11a and 21a was described as 30° to 150° above, this angle range is set to a range that satisfies the condition that the widthwise dimension L4 is 20 mm or more, while taking into account the radius of curvature of the tip parts 11 and 21. For example, if the shape of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 as viewed from the thickness direction is elliptical or circular, then if the radius of curvature at the tip P1 of the tip portions 11 and 21 is 15 mm or more, the maximum width dimension of the tweezers 1 can be made 30 mm or more. The angle range for the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a should be set to an angle within the range of 30° to 150° that makes the dimension L4 20 mm or more. If the outer shape of the tip portions 11 and 21 is arc-shaped, then the diameter of the tweezers 1 should be 30 mm or more, and if the angle for the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a is 141° or more, the dimension L4 can be made 20 mm or more. Alternatively, if the outer shape of the tip portions 11 and 21 is arc-shaped and the angle range for the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a is 30°, then if the radius of curvature of the tip portions 11 and 21 is 38.6 mm or more, the dimension L4 can be made 20 mm or more. The tweezers 1 according to this embodiment are configured as described above.
[0028] [How to use tweezers 1] Next, we will describe how to use the tweezers 1 according to this embodiment, which is configured as described above.
[0029] The tweezers 1 of this embodiment can be used in a manner that is convenient for each individual. For example, one can use them by pressing the outer edge of the tweezers 1 near the point where it intersects the second center line CL2 with the index finger, while placing the thumb on one of the outer wall surfaces 14, 24 and the middle finger on the other, and pressing the vicinity of the second center line CL2 with the thumb and middle finger. Alternatively, one can use them by placing the thumb on one of the outer wall surfaces 14, 24 of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, and the index and middle fingers on the other, and pressing the vicinity of the second center line CL2.
[0030] This reduces the gap between the non-jointed parts 15 and 25, allowing the unwanted hair to be grasped by the hair-grabbing parts 11a and 21a at both ends 11 and 21. Then, by moving the tweezers 1 while grasping the unwanted hair and pulling it out, the unwanted hair can be removed. After removing the unwanted hair, releasing the pressure on the fingers causes the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20 to return to their original shape due to spring force, and the gap between the two ends 11 and 21 opens again. Therefore, it is possible to remove many hairs in succession.
[0031] [Effect of tweezers 1] The tweezers 1 according to this embodiment described above provide the following effects.
[0032] (1) In the tweezers 1 of this embodiment, the hair-gripping parts 11a and 21a are convex curved, and the dimension L4 of the hair-gripping parts 11a and 21a in the width direction of the tweezers 1 is 20 mm or more, which is larger than the width of the thumb, so that it is possible to grip hair stably over a wide area. Furthermore, when plucking hair, it is not only possible to directly check the target area or check the target area with a mirror, but there are also times when it is desired to do it "no look". Even in such cases, since the tip parts 11 and 21 are convex curved and wide, providing a wide range of hair-gripping parts 11a and 21a, it is possible to easily pluck hair "no look", and it is also possible to reduce the risk of injury even if the tweezers 1 come into contact with the skin.
[0033] (2) Because the width of the tweezers 1 is large, it becomes easier to apply force, and it becomes possible to grasp hairs more firmly with less force. Grasping the hairs more firmly makes them less likely to slip, allowing for more precise hair removal, and because hairs can be removed with relatively little force, the fingers will not get tired even when removing many hairs. Therefore, the tweezers 1 can be made easy to use for users of all ages and genders.
[0034] Furthermore, by creating tweezers that are easy for anyone to use, it becomes easier to maintain cleanliness through hair removal, which contributes to Goal 3, "Ensure good health and well-being for all," one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the UN Summit.
[0035] (3) Because the outer shape of the tips 11 and 21 is a convex curve, the tweezers 1 are less likely to snag on fabric when stored in a pocket, etc., making them a highly portable product that is easy to carry. In particular, if the overall shape of the tweezers 1 is oval or circular, no part will snag on fabric, making it an even more portable product. Furthermore, a simple oval or circular form is aesthetically pleasing and less likely to become tiresome. Moreover, because the shape is not easily recognizable as tweezers 1, even if someone sees them while using them, there is no need to worry. In addition, the tweezers 1 can be made into a form that is easy to wash and wipe clean, making it easy to keep clean.
[0036] (4) Furthermore, because the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20 are shaped to bulge along the second center line CL2, users can intuitively understand that they can generate gripping force to pinch hairs by pressing the area around them with their fingers. This makes the tweezers 1 easier to use.
[0037] (Other embodiments) This disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above, and may be modified as appropriate within the scope of the claims. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the elements constituting the embodiments are not necessarily essential unless explicitly stated to be particularly essential or considered to be fundamentally essential. Furthermore, when numerical values such as the number, numerical values, quantities, or ranges of the components of the embodiments are mentioned in each of the embodiments, they are not limited to those specific numbers unless explicitly stated to be particularly essential or considered to be fundamentally limited to a specific number. Furthermore, when the shapes, positional relationships, etc., of the components, etc., are mentioned in each of the embodiments, they are not limited to those shapes, positional relationships, etc., unless explicitly stated or considered to be fundamentally limited to specific shapes, positional relationships, etc.
[0038] For example, the above embodiment shows a suitable example of the dimensions of each part constituting the tweezers 1, but the dimensions do not necessarily have to be as described above.
[0039] Furthermore, although the above embodiment shows examples where the first gripping piece 10 and the second gripping piece 20 are elliptical or circular when viewed from the thickness direction, it is sufficient that at least the tip portions 11 and 21 are convex curved. That is, the width of the convex curved tip portions 11 and 21 should be greater than the width of the thumb, as long as the dimension L4 of the hair-grabbing portions 11a and 21a in the width direction of the tweezers 1 is 20 mm or more.
[0040] Furthermore, the shape of the tweezers 1 when viewed from the thickness direction does not necessarily have to be an elliptical or circular shape overall. For example, in the above embodiment, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are made of separate components and are integrated by joining them at the base ends 12 and 22. However, they can also be made from a single metal plate and the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 can be formed by bending. In this case, the bent portion will constitute the base ends 12 and 22 that connect the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, and the base ends 12 and 22 will be, for example, straight. Therefore, in the case of such a structure, when viewed from the thickness direction, the outer shape of the portion including the tip portions 11 and 21, excluding the base ends 12 and 22, will be elliptical or circular.
[0041] Alternatively, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 may be configured such that, when viewed from the thickness direction, the portion up to the point where the width dimension is greatest, including the tip portions 11 and 21, is convex curved, and the portion on the base end portion 12 and 22 side of the point where the width dimension is greatest is connected to the convex curved portion, forming a rectangular shape, such as a square or trapezoidal shape.
