Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a fishing device such as a sea bream tenya, which is used with a sinker and a fishing hook coupled together.

Background Art

[0002] One of the fishing devices is called a tenya. Generally, a tenya is an integrated unit of a sinker and a fishing hook, and the sinker is prominently colored. After attaching fishing bait to the fishing hook and operating the fishing line to quickly move the sinker up and down in the water, the interest of fish can be attracted and the fish can be made to bite the fishing bait on the fishing hook. What is used for fishing tuna may be called a sea bream tenya or a one tenya.

[0003] A general tenya is configured in a so-called fixed type in which a sinker and a fishing hook are integrally fixed. Recently, however, there is also a so-called semi-fixed type tenya configured such that the fishing hook can be separated from the sinker and be in a floating state. The semi-fixed type tenya is assembled with the sinker and the fishing hook integrated when it is thrown into the water, but when a fish bites the fishing hook (with bait) and applies force, the fishing hook detaches from the sinker. This is considered in view of the fact that when the fishing hook is fixed to the sinker, when the fish moves violently like shaking its head, the fishing hook, which is difficult to move due to the inertia of the sinker, often comes out of the fish's mouth. When the fishing hook is in a floating state separated from the sinker, the fishing hook can easily follow the movement of the fish, so it is difficult to come out of the fish's mouth. In addition, in a tenya in which the sinker and the fishing hook are not fixed, there is also an advantage that the sinker can be further used by combining it with a new fishing hook even when the fishing hook is damaged and cannot be used. The above-described semi-fixed type tenya is disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1. In Document 1, it is described that the fishing hook and the sinker are separable and can be fitted together, and when a fish eats the bait attached to the fishing hook, the fishing hook detaches from the sinker.

[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 6534360 [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]

[0005] The tenya described in Patent Document 1 is a so-called semi-fixed type, which has the advantage that the hook is less likely to come out of the mouth of a fish that has bitten it and struggles. However, the method described in reference 1 requires the formation of a specially shaped retaining part, including a stepped section, at the base (root) of the fishing hook that is attached to the weight. In other words, a regular fishing hook cannot be used, and a specialized, therefore expensive and difficult-to-obtain fishing hook with a specially shaped retaining part at the base must be used. This invention takes that point into consideration and aims to provide a fishing rig such as a tenya rig that is semi-fixed, in which the hook detaches from the weight when a fish bites, and which can use a standard fishing hook. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present invention relates to a fishing rig used in which a weight and a fishing hook are combined, The above-mentioned weight has a through-hole through which the base of the above-mentioned fishing hook is inserted and the fishing line attached to the base is passed, located above the center of gravity (the side of the weight with this through-hole is defined as the "upper" side of the weight relative to the center of gravity; below, when referring to up and down or horizontal, that side will be referred to as the upper side), and the entrance portion of the through-hole has a circular cross-section (i.e., a circular cross-section). Furthermore, the fishing hook is characterized in that an elastic member with a circular cross-section is attached to the base of the fishing hook, which fits snugly into the entrance portion of the through-hole of the sinker. For example, the sea bream tenya 1 shown in Figure 1 is used by combining a weight 10 having a through hole 11 as described above with a fishing hook 20 to which an elastic member (O-ring) 23 is attached as described above, and is an example of the above invention. Furthermore, the present invention may be configured as a tenya as shown in the figure, or as other rigs having a weight and a hook.

[0007] Because of the above-described features, the present invention can be used as a so-called semi-fixed fishing rig in which, although the sinker and hook are initially assembled as one unit when the rig is placed in water, the hook detaches from the sinker when a fish bites and exerts force on the hook. The elastic member attached to the base of the hook fits tightly into the entrance of the through-hole in the sinker, so initially the hook is in a semi-fixed state, integrally (but detachable) with the sinker. However, when a force is applied by a fish, that force releases the fit between the elastic member and the through-hole, causing the hook to detach from the sinker and become free-moving. Even in the free-moving state, the hook remains connected to the fishing rod or the like by the fishing line tied to its base. The fishing rig of the present invention can use a commercially available, general-purpose fishing hook, rather than a hard-to-obtain fishing hook having a specially shaped portion at its base. This is because, in the above fishing rig, the elastic member with a circular cross-section attached to the base of the fishing hook fits snugly into the circular cross-section portion at the entrance of the through-hole of the sinker, thereby causing the fishing hook to be in the aforementioned semi-fixed state relative to the sinker. To achieve this, it is sufficient to attach the elastic member with a circular cross-section to the base of a general-purpose fishing hook and to provide a circular opening at the entrance of the through-hole that is sized to allow the elastic member to fit snugly. Furthermore, since the through-hole is formed above the center of gravity of the weight and the fishing line is passed through it, the posture of the weight hanging from the fishing line is stabilized, and therefore the fishing hook, which is semi-fixed to the weight, can move in the water while maintaining roughly the same direction and posture.

[0008] Regarding the fishing rig of the above invention, in particular, Preferably, the base of the fishing hook is provided with a ring (eye) for tying a fishing line, which is sized to be inserted into the opening of the through-hole of the sinker, and a rubber O-ring is attached as the elastic member at the base of the shaft adjacent to the ring. In the sea bream tenya 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, the base of the fishing hook 20 has a ring 22 that can be inserted into the through hole 11 of the sinker 10, and a rubber O-ring 23 is attached to the base of the adjacent shaft portion 21.

[0009] Rubber O-rings are readily available in various sizes and sizes at low cost, making it extremely easy to obtain the appropriate size. When such O-rings are attached to a typical fishing hook with a ring at its base, the fishing rig of this invention can be constructed particularly easily, and costs are kept down. If the fishing hook used has a ring as described above, the ring can be used as a retainer to prevent the O-ring from coming off the base of the hook, making it easier to attach the O-ring. Furthermore, the presence of the ring makes it easier to tie the fishing line to the hook.

[0010] The fishing rig of the above invention, which uses a fishing hook having a ring at its base, further, Preferably, the sinker has a portion with an oval cross-section (i.e., an oval cross-section) at the back of the through hole, into which the ring of the fishhook is inserted, thereby enabling the fishhook to be kept with its tip pointing straight up (referring to the upward direction described above). In the sinker 10 illustrated in Figure 4, a portion of the through hole 11 has an oval-shaped opening 13c (see Figure 4(b)). In general, the ring has an oval shape in the cross-section perpendicular to the shaft and is tightly inserted into the oval-shaped opening.

[0011] In many fishing rigs, such as those used for tai tenya fishing, it is preferable that the hook point of the sinker, which is integrated with the hook, faces directly upwards. This is because when a fish bites the hook with the bait attached, the upward-facing hook point will penetrate the fish's upper jaw, making it less likely for the hook to come loose. As described above, there is an oval-shaped opening at the back of the sinker's through-hole, and when the hook ring (which has an oval cross-section) is inserted into it, the hook can no longer rotate relative to the sinker, so the direction of the hook point becomes constant and does not change. If the orientation of the major axis of the oval is set so that the hook point faces directly upwards at that point, the hook point will stably face directly upwards, which is desirable.

[0012] In the fishing rig of the present invention, in particular, Preferably, the through-hole of the weight is formed by attaching a resin sleeve (cylindrical body) to all or part of the inside of an opening provided in the weight itself. For example, in the example shown in Figure 4, the through-hole 11 of the weight 10 has resin sleeves 12 and 13 attached to a part of the opening (two locations: near the exit and near the entrance).

[0013] Generally, since weights are made of metal such as lead or tungsten, it is not easy to form a circular opening (entrance portion) that fits with the O-ring and an oval opening (inner portion) into which the ring is inserted in the through-hole, and this requires considerable cost. However, if a slightly larger opening is provided in the weight itself, and the through-hole is formed by attaching a resin sleeve to the inside as described above, then even if the cross-sectional shape of the opening is not uniform, it can be easily and inexpensively formed within a single through-hole. Furthermore, if a resin sleeve is fitted inside the opening, the fishing line passed through the through-hole is less likely to come into contact with the metal weight, thus reducing the risk of wear and breakage.

[0014] In the above fishing rig in which a sleeve is attached to the through-hole of the weight, It is even more preferable if the attached sleeve has a portion with a circular cross-section opening at the entrance where the base of the fishhook is inserted, and a portion with an oval cross-section opening further inside, and there is a transitional portion between the former (circular cross-section opening) and the latter (oval cross-section opening) where the cross-sectional shape of the opening changes smoothly (continuously) between the two. Even in the example of Fig. 4(a), on the sleeve 13 on the right side of the illustration, there is a transition portion 13b between the circular cross-section opening 13a (portion of cross-section c-c) and the oval cross-section opening 13c (portion of cross-section b-b) where the cross-sectional shape of the opening changes smoothly.

[0015] If the above-mentioned circular opening portion and oval opening portion are respectively formed in the through-hole with the sleeve mounted thereon, when the base of the fishing hook is inserted into the through-hole, a semi-fixed state can be realized by the action of the O-ring and the circular cross-section opening portion, and the state with the tip of the fishing hook facing upward can be maintained by the action of the loop of the fishing hook and the oval cross-section opening portion. However, if the cross-section of the opening changes discontinuously between the circular opening and the oval opening, it is necessary to accurately determine in advance the orientation of the loop (and thus the orientation of the tip of the hook) when inserting it into the through-hole of the sinker. As a result, the insertion becomes more troublesome and burdens the user. In that regard, if there is a transition portion as described above between the circular opening and the oval opening as described above, when the base of the fishing hook is inserted into the through-hole of the sinker after roughly determining the orientation of the loop (and thus the orientation of the tip of the hook) within a range of approximately ±45° from the correct angle, the outer surface of the loop contacts the transition portion and is guided to smoothly change its orientation. As a result, the orientation of the loop gradually faces the long-axis direction of the above-mentioned oval opening portion, and the loop fits into the opening portion. Consequently, the tip of the hook naturally faces straight up, achieving an ideal semi-fixed state.

[0016] Regarding the fishing device of the present invention, in particular, It is preferable that an auxiliary hook (grand hook) or a bait holder that can be inserted into the bait attached to the fishing hook is connected to the shaft portion of the fishing hook. It is also possible that both the auxiliary hook and the bait holder are connected to the shaft portion of the fishing hook (the fishing hook when the grand hook is connected is also referred to as the parent hook). Even in the examples of Figs. 1 and 2, the auxiliary hook 30 that can be inserted into the bait A and the bait holder 40 are connected to the shaft portion 21 of the fishing hook 20.

[0017] When the fishing tackle has the above-described auxiliary hook or bait holder, the bait attached to the fishing hook is unlikely to come off the fishing hook. Even when a fish pecks at it, the bait is unlikely to come off, and especially when a fish pecks at the auxiliary hook, the fish may catch on the auxiliary hook. And since the above-described auxiliary hook and bait holder are connected to the shaft portion of the fishing hook instead of the sinker, even when the fishing hook is in a semi-fixed state with respect to the sinker, and also when the fish becomes in a swimming state after biting, the auxiliary hook and the bait holder do not separate from the fishing hook. Therefore, there is an advantage that the bait is continuously prevented from coming off the fishing hook.

Advantages of the Invention

[0018] The fishing tackle of the present invention can be used as a so-called semi-fixed type in which the sinker and the fishing hook are integrally assembled in the initial state when it is put into water, but the fishing hook comes off the sinker when a fish bites and applies force to the fishing hook. Moreover, in the tackle of the present invention, a commercially available general fishing hook can be used instead of a special fishing hook. In particular, if a fishing hook having a ring at the base is used and a rubber O-ring is attached to the base, the fishing tackle of the invention can be more easily and low-cost configured. Also, if a fishing hook having a ring at the base is used after providing an opening portion having an oval cross-section deeper inside the through-hole of the sinker, when the fishing hook is assembled to the sinker, it is possible to keep the fishing hook in a favorable state where the tip of the needle faces straight up. If a resin sleeve is attached to the through-hole of the sinker, it is possible to easily form openings having two or more different cross-sectional shapes as the through-hole. There is also an advantage that the fishing line is less likely to break. When providing a circular cross-section opening portion and an oval cross-section opening portion in the sleeve attached to the through-hole of the sinker, if a transition portion where the cross-sectional opening shape smoothly changes is provided between the two, when the base of the fishing hook is inserted into the through-hole, the ring is guided by the transition portion and the tip of the needle naturally faces straight up. Connecting an auxiliary hook or a bait holder to the shaft portion of the fishing hook can effectively prevent the bait from coming off the fishing hook.

[Figure 4] It is a view showing the weight 10 used for the sea bream tenya 1. Fig. 4(a) is a sectional view taken along a vertical plane passing through the center line of the through hole 11, Fig. 4(b) is a sectional view taken along b-b in Fig. 4(a), and Fig. 4(c) is a sectional view taken along c-c in Fig. 4(a).

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[0020] Figs. 1 to 4 show a sea bream tenya 1 as an embodiment of the invention. As shown in Fig. 1, the sea bream tenya 1 is a fishing device having a weight 10 and a fishing hook (parent hook) 20 as main components. The weight 10 is formed of a high specific gravity metal such as lead or tungsten, has a through hole 11 that linearly connects two separated locations on the surface, and the fishing line (main line) 2 tied to the base of the fishing hook 20 is passed through the through hole 11 and connected to a fishing rod (not shown). The fishing hook 20 can insert its base into the through hole 11 and fit inside it, whereby the fishing hook 20 can be coupled to the weight 10 (refer to that shown by the phantom line).

[0021] When fishing, a fishing bait A such as a shrimp is attached to the fishing hook 20. For example, a shrimp is inserted into the fishing hook 20 from the tail so that the head protrudes from the tip. The fishing hook 20 with the fishing bait A attached is coupled to the weight 10 as described above. When the fishing line 2 is operated to move up and down etc. together with the weight 10 in water, the movement can attract fish and make them bite on the fishing hook 20 with the fishing bait A. To prevent the bait A from coming off the hook 20 during underwater operation, this sea bream tenya 1 uses an auxiliary hook (trailer hook) 30 and a bait holder (shrimp keeper) 40 connected to the base of the hook 20 by fishing line (leader) 32. The auxiliary hook 30 should be inserted, for example, near the head of the shrimp, and the bait holder 40 should be inserted into the tail of the shrimp. The fishing line 32 to which the auxiliary hooks 30 are attached has brightly colored beads attached to it, which, along with the coloring and patterns applied to the sinker 10, enhances the fish-attracting effect.

[0022] The illustrated sea bream tenya 1 is a so-called semi-fixed type. That is, when it is cast into the water, the sinker 10 and the hook 20 are connected in a semi-fixed state as described above. However, when a fish bites the hook 20 and struggles, the base of the hook 20 comes out of the through hole 11 and separates from the sinker 10, becoming a free-moving state. Not only when a fish bites the hook 20, but also when a fish gets caught on the auxiliary hook 30, or when a fish gets caught on both the hook 20 and the auxiliary hook 30, the hook 20 becomes free-moving when the fish struggles.

[0023] In the Tai Tenya 1, a commercially available, general-purpose hook 20 is used. That is, as shown in Figure 2, the hook 20 is a general-purpose hook with a ring 22 at its base for attaching the fishing line 2, and does not have any special shape or other modifications for use with this Tai Tenya 1.

[0024] To enable the use of these common fishing hooks 20, this Tai Tenya 1 incorporates the following features 1) and 2). That is, 1) As shown in Figure 2, a rubber O-ring 23 is fitted to the base of the fishhook 20, that is, the base of the shaft portion 21 adjacent to the ring 22. The O-ring 23 has a circular cross-section and fits snugly onto the shaft portion 21 of the fishhook 20, which also has a circular cross-section, and its outer surface is also circular. Because its inner diameter is smaller than the maximum width of the ring 22 of the fishhook 20, the O-ring 23 will not accidentally fall off the fishhook 20 by passing over the ring 22. In addition, since the fishing line 32 used to connect the auxiliary hook 30 is wrapped around the base of the shaft portion 21 of the fishhook 20, the O-ring 23 is also prevented from shifting towards the hook tip on the shaft portion 21.

[0025] 2) As shown in Figure 3, a circular opening 13a is provided at the entrance of the through-hole 11 of the sinker 10, with a size that allows the O-ring 23 to fit snugly inside. Therefore, when the fishing line 2 is pulled or the hook 20 is pushed, the base of the hook 20 is inserted into the through-hole 11 of the sinker 10, and the O-ring 23 elastically deforms and fits inside the opening 13a, so that the hook 20 and the sinker 10 are connected in a semi-fixed state. In this state, the hook 20 is not fixed to the sinker 10, so when a hooked fish exerts a force greater than a certain amount on the hook 20, the hook 20 can detach from the through-hole 11 of the sinker 10 and become free to move.

[0026] When the tai tenya 1, with bait A attached, is cast into the water, it is preferable that it moves through the water or sinks to the seabed, etc., with the point of the hook 20 facing directly upwards, as shown in Figure 1. To ensure that the hook point faces upwards in the water, this tai tenya 1 employs the configuration described in 3) to 6) below. 3) A through hole 11 is provided above the center of gravity of the weight 10, and the fishing line 2 is passed through it. This stabilizes the posture of the weight 10 as it moves while suspended from the fishing line 2 in the water, and therefore the fishing hook 20, which is in a semi-fixed state relative to the weight 10, can maintain its tip in a generally constant direction.

[0027] 4) An oval-shaped opening (reference numeral 13c in Figure 4) into which the ring 22 of the fishhook 20 is tightly inserted is formed at the back of the through-hole 11 of the sinker 10. The angle of the plane containing the ring 22 and the direction of the hook tip are in a constant and immovable relationship (generally there is a 90° angle difference with respect to the shaft portion 21). Therefore, by forming an oval-shaped opening in the through-hole 11 that tightly inserts the ring 22 and does not allow it to rotate, the direction of the hook tip of the fishhook 20 is determined when the ring 22 is inserted into that opening. Generally, if the major axis of the oval shape of the opening is horizontal, the hook tip will point straight up and will not rotate.

[0028] 5) Based on points 2) and 4) above, the through hole 11 of the weight 10 needs to have a circular cross-section opening 13a at the entrance and an oval cross-section opening 13c slightly further inside, as shown in Figure 4(a). Since it is not easy to form such a through hole 11 with an opening whose cross-sectional shape is not constant in a metal weight 10, a hole of a single diameter is formed in the weight 10 itself, and a resin sleeve 13 (shown by hatching in Figure 4) with the openings 13a and 13b formed separately is tightly fitted inside the hole to form the through hole 11. The resin sleeve is soft and easy to process, and can also be formed with a 3D printer. The fitting of the circular cross-section opening 13a in this sleeve 13 with the O-ring 23 of the fishhook 20 achieves the above-mentioned semi-fixed state, and the fitting of the oval cross-section opening 13c with the ring 22 of the fishhook 20 allows the direction of the hook tip to be determined. Note that the sleeve 12 on the left side of Figure 4(a) does not come into contact with the fishhook 20, but is attached to prevent the fishing line 2 from fraying due to contact with the metal part. Sleeves 12 and 13 may be molded as a single integrated body.

[0029] 6) In the sleeve 13 described above, a transition section 13b is provided between the circular cross-section opening 13a at the entrance and the oval cross-section opening 13c located slightly further inside, where the shape of the opening cross-section changes continuously and smoothly. With such a transition section 13b provided, when inserting the base of the fishhook 20 into the through hole 11 from the right side (the side of the opening 13a) in Figure 4(a), the orientation of the ring 22 does not need to precisely match the orientation of the long axis of the opening 13c of the sleeve 13. Even if the orientation of the ring 22 is shifted by, for example, about 45°, as the ring 22 is advanced towards the back of the through hole 11, its outer surface comes into contact with the transition section 13b and is smoothly guided. As a result of rotating the fishhook 20 so that the width direction of the ring 22 gradually matches the long axis direction of the opening 13c, the ring 22 fits tightly into the opening 13c and a semi-fixed state is achieved where the tip of the hook points straight up.

[0030] In the Tai Tenya 1, as mentioned above, the auxiliary hook 30, which is inserted into the fishing bait A for the purpose of holding the fishing bait A, and the fishing bait holder 40 are connected to the base of the fishing hook 20 (see Figure 1). In order to achieve this connection advantageously, the Tai Tenya 1 is subjected to the treatment described in 7) below. 7) In order to connect the bait holder 40, it is common to either provide a separate ring (eye) for connecting the bait holder 40 to the base of the hook 20, or to attach the connecting fitting to the fishing line 32 for the auxiliary hook 30. However, this would require a special hook 20, or increase the number of parts used and thus the weight. Therefore, in this sea bream tenya 1, when winding the fishing line 32 for connecting the auxiliary hook 30 around the base of the hook 20, as shown in Figure 2, the fishing line 32 forms a small loop 32b together with the winding portion 32a, and the base (connecting ring portion) of the bait holder 40 is hooked onto this loop 32b. In this way, this sea bream tenya 1 can be constructed using a commercially available general-purpose hook 20 and is lightweight with a small number of parts.

[0031] The above explanation uses the Tai Tenya 1 as an example, but the fishing rig of the invention can be similarly constructed for other rigs in which a weight and a fishing hook are combined (for example, jig heads and Tai Rubber lures). [Explanation of Symbols]
