Abstract
The objective is to provide a refrigeration cycle system that can achieve improved warm-up and heating performance even under low ambient temperature conditions. [Solution] The refrigeration cycle device comprises a compressor, a condenser that performs heat exchange with a unit to be warmed, an expansion valve, an evaporator that vaporizes a refrigerant, and a control unit that controls the dryness of the refrigerant drawn into the compressor. When the unit to be warmed by the refrigeration cycle device is determined to be in an environment with an outside air temperature lower than a predetermined temperature based on the outside air temperature detected by the outside air temperature detection unit, and a warming request is made for the unit to be warmed, the control unit adjusts the opening of the expansion valve to reduce the dryness, which is estimated based on the discharge temperature, condensation temperature, discharge pressure, and compression ratio of the refrigerant, to a range of dryness that enhances the warming function of the refrigeration cycle device, thereby improving the intake density of the refrigerant.
