Abstract

The present invention provides a method for generating cartilage or bone. [Solution] This application describes a method for generating cartilage or bone by controlling the expression level of MAST4 in cells. In one embodiment, a method for generating bone, comprising administering to a subject in need, at or near a bone defect, eukaryotic cells in which the expression or activity of microtubule-associated serine / threonine kinase family member 4 (MAST4) protein or its fragments is stabilized or increased compared to normal cells, where bone formation is desired.
