Claims

1. A method for cultivating at least one plant selected from the group consisting of Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Poaceae, and Fabaceae, comprising applying a plant vitality agent containing exogenous elicitors and endogenous elicitors to seedlings at least once.

2. The method for cultivating plants according to claim 1, wherein the exogenous elicitor is a chitin oligosaccharide, and the endogenous elicitor is at least one oligosaccharide selected from cellooligosaccharides and xylooligosaccharides.

3. The method for cultivating plants according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the mass ratio of the exogenous elicitor to the endogenous elicitor in the plant vitality agent is 0.1 to 5.

4. A method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the endogenous elicitor comprises xylooligosaccharide.

5. The method for cultivating plants according to claim 4, wherein the endogenous elicitor includes both cellooligosaccharides and xylooligosaccharides.

6. The method for cultivating plants according to claim 5, wherein the mass ratio of cellooligosaccharide to xylooligosaccharide in the plant vitality agent is 0.2 to 5.

7. A method for cultivating plants according to any one of claims 1 to 6, comprising giving the plant vitality agent at least once to seedlings 2 to 15 days after germination.

8. A method for cultivating plants according to any one of claims 1 to 7, further comprising applying the plant vitality agent to the plant at least once after the seedling stage.

9. A method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the plant is a plant of the Solanaceae family.

10. The method for cultivating a plant according to claim 9, wherein the Solanaceae plant is at least one selected from the group consisting of tomato, potato, and bell pepper.

11. A method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the plant is a member of the Cucurbitaceae family.

12. The method for cultivating a plant according to claim 11, wherein the Cucurbitaceae plant is at least one species selected from the group consisting of watermelon and cucumber.

13. The method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 9 to 12, wherein the seedling is a scion for growing grafted seedlings.

14. A method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the plant is a grass.

15. The method for cultivating a plant according to claim 14, wherein the grass plant is at least one selected from the group consisting of rice, wheat, barley, corn, and sugarcane.

16. A method for cultivating a plant according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the plant is a legume.

17. The method for cultivating a plant according to claim 16, wherein the leguminous plant is at least one selected from the group consisting of soybeans and adzuki beans.

18. A method for cultivating plants according to any one of claims 1 to 17, wherein the plant vitality agent is given to the plant at a concentration such that the total content of the exogenous elicitor and the endogenous elicitor is 0.1 to 500 ppm by mass.

19. A method for cultivating plants according to any one of claims 1 to 18, wherein the plant vitality agent is applied to the plants by foliar spraying.

20. A plant vitality agent comprising an exogenous elicitor and an endogenous elicitor, used in the cultivation of at least one plant selected from the group consisting of Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Poaceae, and Fabaceae, which is applied to seedlings at least once.
