Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing at least one cyclosiloxane by catalytic depolymerization of silicone waste, comprising or comprising the steps of: (i) dissolving at least a portion of the silicone waste in at least one solvent containing or comprising at least one aliphatic hydrocarbon (K) using at least one depolymerization catalyst (D1); (ii) optionally inactivating at least one depolymerization catalyst (D1) and adding at least one further depolymerization catalyst (D2); and (iii) distilling off at least one cyclosiloxane from the mixture, wherein the method is characterized in that the at least one aliphatic hydrocarbon (K) contains at least 16 carbon atoms.
