Abstract

Monitoring roller temperature Overheating of rollers in a truck on a mobile machine can cause the truck to malfunction. Therefore, an embodiment of a temperature monitoring device (300) that can be installed in the oil filler port (214) of each roller (200) is disclosed. Each temperature monitoring device (300) monitors the oil temperature in its respective roller (200) and can communicate the oil temperature or other temperature indication to a controller (130). The controller (130) can alert a human operator or another system when the temperature of the roller (200) exceeds a predetermined threshold indicating overheating.
