Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] This invention relates to a simple foot-tapping exercise device that allows the user to safely and securely perform rocking exercises by alternately raising and lowering both feet. [Background technology]
[0002] A proposed foot pedaling device allows the user to mechanically and continuously perform foot fidgeting, which is said to be good for health. The device has an arc-shaped base made from a thick disk, shaped like a watermelon, and when the device is placed on the floor without being held in the hands, the apex of the arc touches the floor, and a flat surface perpendicular to the vertical line passing through the apex forms the footrest. This footrest may have short, almost vertical foot support sections on both ends. Alternatively, the vertical surface of the arc base is cut away, leaving only the arc edge, to form a bow shape, with spot footrests on both ends (see Patent Document 1).
[0003] With the objective of providing an exercise device that allows users to exercise both legs more effectively, the exercise device includes a base, a rocking body that is provided above the base and is swingable, and has a resting portion on which the user's feet are placed, and a rocking means that rocks the rocking body around an axis that is perpendicular to the direction in which the feet are aligned with each other while the feet are placed on the resting portion. The rocking body rocks around an axis member in response to the shift in weight of the feet. This exercise device allows users to exercise both legs more effectively (see Patent Document 2).
[0004] In order to provide an exercise device that can prevent misalignment when a user is jiggling, the exercise device includes a base on which the user's feet are placed, a main body that rotates over a predetermined range as the user's feet placed on the base move alternately, and a restricting means that prohibits movement of the main body in a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction and restricts movement of the main body in the rotation direction. The restricting means has a recess formed in the main body and a protrusion that fits into the recess, and further includes a base to which the protrusion is fixed, and the main body is supported rotatably with respect to the base and the protrusion about an axis in the horizontal direction (see Patent Document 3).
[0005] As a foot-tapping exercise device that can effectively strengthen the muscles of the lower body and is made of materials other than wood, the base is made of a plate material of a size that allows the sole of either of a pair of feet to be placed on it. The elastic body has a triangular shape in side view, with the bottom surface connected to the surface of the base and the inclined surface being a triangular prism with a predetermined acute angle α relative to the bottom surface. The step portion is made of a plate material, and the back surface is connected to the inclined surface of the elastic body. A cover material has been proposed that has a shape similar to the overall shape of the device, which is made up of the base portion, elastic body, and step portion (see Patent Document 4).
[0006] A proposed foot-operated health device allows users to perform foot exercises while sitting in a chair and simultaneously massage the soles of their feet. The foot-operated health device has a roughly semi-cylindrical main body, which is symmetrical about the center of the main body when the axial direction of the main body is set to the left-right direction. The cylindrical surface of the main body is on the upper side, and the device has multiple acupressure protrusions on the cylindrical surface, a pair of roughly semi-circular central legs arranged opposite each other in the front and back on the lower center of the main body, roughly semi-circular stopper parts smaller than the central legs arranged on both the left and right sides of the central legs, and a soft member bonded along the roughly semi-circular arcs of the central legs and stopper parts (see Patent Document 5).
[0007] It is said that alternating small movements of the feet up and down is an effective way to promote blood circulation, relieve stress, and easily alleviate lack of exercise. Elderly people and people with disabilities are often forced to use wheelchairs. To alleviate this lack of exercise, it is desirable to be able to exercise while seated in a chair. A simple wooden foot pedal that can be used while seated in a wheelchair has been proposed. However, this foot pedal has a shape in which a cylinder is cut perpendicular to a smooth surface, and the smooth surface serves as a footrest. The user touches the apex of the arc to the floor, places both feet on the footrest, and then moves them up and down alternately, but this is not sufficient. This allows the user to easily perform the exercise continuously. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0009] Elderly people are becoming less physically fit and less able to maintain their health by moving their bodies independently. Particularly when it comes to leg exercise, walking is the norm, but while it is possible for those with sufficient physical strength, it is difficult for those with some walking difficulties. There is also a need for equipment that allows exercise by moving the legs while sitting in a chair, or that allows exercise to be done in a room with many other people at the same time. In response to the above needs, a compact, safe, and room-friendly foot-operated exercise device is desired. A device that is easily portable and easy to operate, and made of relatively little wood, is desirable. For elderly people and those who are not very active walkers, a foot-operated exercise device is designed to improve leg strength and physical fitness by alternately pushing down with both feet. However, during use, the foot-operated device tends to move in unexpected directions (left and right, front and back, and positional deviations in the horizontal plane), making it difficult to maintain a consistent position for a certain period of time. Thus, with conventional technology, it has been difficult to suppress positional deviations and perform continuous exercises in a simple device. The objective of this study is to solve this problem by proposing a device that is easy to operate.
[0010] To maintain good health, simple exercises can promote blood circulation and relieve stress. In addition, simple indoor exercises involving alternating quick up-and-down movements of both feet, or the body shaking motion of "jiggling," are said to be effective as a simple way to address lack of exercise, especially for the elderly. In recent years, many elderly people in elderly care facilities are forced to use wheelchairs, and foot-tapping exercises while sitting in a chair have been attracting attention as a way to address lack of exercise for these people. Equipment is needed to achieve this. Foot-tapping exercise equipment involves the user moving both feet up and down in quick, alternating movements, starting from the heels. This exercise equipment is designed to exercise both feet, particularly for the elderly or those who find strenuous exercise difficult. [Means for solving the problem]
[0011] This simple foot-tapping exercise device is comprised of an arc-shaped concave body made up of a flat plate and two arc-shaped plates combined together to promote light foot movement when stepping, and which can swing left and right by stepping on either end of the flat plate surface, and a flat base on which the foot-tapping exercise device is placed to drive the left and right swing. A 3 to 8 mm groove is provided on the left and right swinging surface of the arc-shaped plate of the arc-shaped concave body, and a 3 to 30 mm rubber string or rubber band is fitted into it. 30 to 50 mm semicircular spheres or semicircular rods are attached to the left and right ends of the flat plate on the top surface, and a floating stationary plate which is a rectangular plate and has a drive grace zone in the width direction is installed on the flat base.
[0012] The arc-shaped concave body, which is a foot-tapping exercise tool, is made of flat plate material 20 to 30 mm thick and has an arc shape with a width of 80 to 200 mm, a length of 350 to 550 mm, and a maximum height of 80 to 170 mm. Semicircular or semicircular rod-shaped bodies are attached to both ends of the top surface to prevent the foot from shifting and to stimulate the acupressure points on the soles of the feet. In order to prevent the arc-shaped concave body, which is a foot-tapping exercise tool, from moving left and right or forward and backward, one or two 3 to 8 mm grooves are provided in lengths of 100 to 250 mm in both directions from the center of the bottom surface, which is the end grain surface of the arc that comes into contact with the flat base, and the foot-tapping exercise tool is fixed by fitting a 3 to 8 mm diameter rubber string or a 3 to 30 mm wide rubber band into the grooves.
[0013] The flat base that drives the foot-operated exercise equipment when stepped on is a rectangular flat plate material 200 to 250 mm wide and 300 to 500 mm long, and a rectangular flat plate 20 to 30 mm thick and 20 to 50 mm high is attached to one front side of the rectangular flat plate material as a movable and stationary plate, and the surface of the flat plate base has raised vertical and horizontal grooves with grooves 0.5 to 3 mm wide and 0.1 to 2 mm deep and grooves spaced 1 to 10 mm apart to prevent movement, or the flat plate is covered with a rubber sheet, and an anti-slip sheet or anti-slip board is partially attached to the back side.
[0014] The material used is wood, which eliminates the creaking noise caused by contact between pieces of wood due to the rocking or sliding of the foot-tapping exercise equipment, and the contact parts of the equipment are made of wood and resin, or wood and rubber.A place is provided on the top of the foot-tapping exercise equipment where a pedometer can be installed so that the stepping condition and amount of exercise can be checked when using the foot-tapping exercise equipment, and the arc-shaped concave body and flat base are connected at their centers with a string to integrate them and prevent them from slipping out of place.
[0015] The simple foot-tapping exercise device comprises a support portion on which the user places both feet, an arc-shaped concave body portion that rotates over a predetermined range as the user's feet placed on the support portion move alternately, and a means for prohibiting the arc-shaped concave body from moving left and right and forward and backward on a flat base and for suppressing the movement of the arc-shaped concave body in the left and right and forward and backward directions, the restricting means having a recess formed in the arc-shaped concave body and a flat base that fits into the recess, and is supported so as to be freely rotatable around a horizontal axis. [Effects of the Invention]
[0016] The simple foot-tapping exercise device is an exercise / movement in which the user alternates between moving both feet up and down in small increments, starting from the heels, and is intended for elderly people or those who find it difficult to do strenuous exercise, and is used to exercise both feet. There was a demand for a foot-tapping exercise device that was compact, safe, and matched the atmosphere of the room, and we found one that was easy to carry, easy to operate, and made of relatively wood. For elderly people and those who are not very active in walking, when the user alternates between pressing down with both feet, the force of the pressing down acts as a foot pedaling device that improves the legs and physical strength. When using the foot pedal, it usually moves in an unexpected direction from the designated position, but it can be used smoothly in a certain range of positions for a certain period of time. With this simple device, it was possible to suppress positional deviation and use it continuously. In elderly care facilities, many elderly people are forced to use wheelchairs, and this allows them to do stepping exercises while sitting in a chair as a way to alleviate their lack of exercise.
