Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a rubber cutting board, and more specifically, aims to provide a rubber cutting board that combines oil resistance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance, is hygienic, and is less likely to damage the kitchen knife blade.
Background Art
[0002] Conventionally, cutting boards have been used to cut various foods, and since there are various types of foods, including those containing a large amount of oil and moisture, there has been a demand for a material that combines oil resistance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance, is hygienic, and is less likely to damage the kitchen knife blade. Typical materials include wood and synthetic resin materials. However, there has been a problem that these materials are insufficient to meet the requirements of combining oil resistance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance, being hygienic, and being less likely to damage the kitchen knife blade.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] Conventional cutting boards are mainly made of wood or synthetic resin, lacking oil resistance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance. Moreover, there are drawbacks such as the scraps of cut food remaining on the cutting board not being washed away cleanly, or the hardness of the cutting board being too high, which damages the kitchen knife blade.
[0005] The present invention aims to provide a rubber cutting board that solves all of the above problems.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] To achieve the above objective, the invention described in claim 1 is a rubber cutting board characterized by forming the cutting board body from a rubber material obtained by vulcanizing NBR (nitrile rubber) and SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), and making the smoothness of the surface and the back surface of the cutting board body different.
[0007] The invention described in claim 2 is a rubber cutting board according to claim 1, which is made by vulcanizing 65 to 75% by mass of NBR (nitrile rubber) and 25 to 35% by mass of SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber).
[0008] The invention described in claim 3 is a rubber cutting board according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the cutting board body is 75 to 85 mm. [Effects of the Invention]
[0009] The rubber cutting board of this invention is easy for the user to use, possesses excellent properties such as oil resistance, elasticity, and abrasion resistance, is hygienic, and does not damage knife blades. [Brief explanation of the drawing]
[0010] [Figure 1] This is a perspective view of the rubber cutting board according to the present invention. [Figure 2] This is a perspective view of the rubber cutting board according to the present invention. [Figure 3] These are cross-sectional views along line AA in Figures 1 and 2. [Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0011] An embodiment of the rubber cutting board according to the present invention will be described in detail below based on the attached drawings. Figures 1 and 2 are perspective views of a rubber cutting board according to the present invention, and the cutting board body 1 is formed from a rubber material obtained by vulcanizing NBR (nitrile rubber) and SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber).
[0012] The NBR (nitrile rubber) material that makes up the cutting board body 1 of this invention has excellent oil resistance. Therefore, when cutting foods containing a lot of oil, such as raw meat and raw fish, even if oil adheres to the cutting board body 1, the rubber cutting board will not be altered or deteriorated by the adhered oil.
[0013] The SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) material that makes up the cutting board body 1 of this invention has excellent elasticity and abrasion resistance, resulting in a good feel for the knife and enabling stable cutting work. Furthermore, it prevents damage to the knife blade from being scratched by the rubber cutting board.
[0014] When cutting ingredients containing a lot of oil, such as raw meat or raw fish, or ingredients containing a lot of moisture, such as tomatoes or fruits, with the cutting board body 1 of this invention, using the less smooth (rougher) side of the surface 2 or back surface 3 of the cutting board body 1 will prevent the ingredients from slipping, allowing for stable cutting. The less smooth surface is mainly used for pre-cooking preparation, and after cutting, the cutting board itself is washed with water. The less smooth surface allows water to drain well, making the cutting board dry quickly and thus very hygienic.
[0015] Furthermore, when cutting bread or sliding cut ingredients horizontally with the back of a knife, using the highly smooth surface (smooth side) of the cutting board body 1, either the front surface 2 or the back surface 3, will allow for smooth movement of ingredients without the ingredients or knife catching. The highly smooth surface is primarily used for cutting after cooking or for slicing vegetables before eating. Because the knife blade penetrates smoothly, leafy vegetables and other ingredients can be cut cleanly, preventing food from remaining connected and not being completely cut.
[0016] It goes without saying that the choice of whether to make the front surface 2 or back surface 3 of the cutting board body 1 highly smooth or less smooth can be freely selected at the manufacturing site. By gently sliding a finger over the surface 2 or the back surface 3 of the cutting board body 1, it is possible to easily determine whether it has high smoothness or low smoothness, so the above-mentioned determination of proper use during use can be easily made.
Industrial Applicability
[0017] The present invention is used at the cooking site where a cutting board is used and also in each household.
