Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an in-vehicle light source unit, and more particularly to an in-vehicle light source unit including a board on which a light source is mounted and a holding member that holds the board. [Background technology]
[0002] As an example of such an in-vehicle light source unit, there is known an in-vehicle light source unit described in the following Patent Document 1. The in-vehicle light source unit described in Patent Document 1 includes a board on which a light source is mounted and a heat sink as a holding member for holding the board, and the heat sink is provided with one rib each on the left and right sides that protrude toward the board. In the in-vehicle light source unit described in Patent Document 1, the board is held by the heat sink by inserting these ribs into notches formed in the board.
[0003] In the vehicle-mounted light source unit described in Patent Document 1, the rib is rectangular when viewed along the height direction of the rib, and the length from the upper end to the lower end perpendicular to the height direction of the rib is approximately equal to the total length along the vertical direction of the notch. Therefore, in the vehicle-mounted light source unit described in Patent Document 1, the relative movement between the board and the heat sink in the vertical direction is restricted, and the board is positioned in the vertical direction relative to the heat sink.
[0004] In the in-vehicle light source unit described in Patent Document 1, a gap exists between the left-right side portions of the rib and the side walls of the substrate that define the cutout.
[0005] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2019 / 176869 Summary of the Invention
[0006] In the in-vehicle light source unit described in Patent Document 1, as described above, there is a gap between the left-right side of the rib and the side wall of the substrate, so it is difficult to accurately position the substrate and the heat sink in the left-right direction using only the rib. Therefore, in Patent Document 1, a through hole is formed in the substrate, and a pin is erected on the heat sink and inserted into the through hole to achieve left-right positioning.
[0007] However, when pins are provided on the heat sink in addition to ribs as in Patent Document 1, the shape of the heat sink becomes complex, leading to increased manufacturing costs. Therefore, there is a demand for positioning in the vertical and horizontal directions without providing the above-mentioned pins.
[0008] As a method for meeting this demand, for example, it is conceivable to widen the width of the rectangular rib in the left-right direction, so that the sides of the two rectangular ribs abut against the side walls of the substrate, and the substrate is sandwiched between the two ribs. However, in this case, the entire length of the upper end of the rib, the entire length of the lower end, and the entire length of the sides abut against the side walls of the substrate, so that the area of the abutment between the substrate and the rib increases. In order to emit light emitted from the light source mounted on the substrate in a desired direction, it is necessary to improve the accuracy of the surface processing at the abutment to suppress the wobbling between the substrate and the heat sink at the abutment. However, when the area of the abutment is large, it is necessary to improve the accuracy of the surface processing over a wide range, and it is difficult to perform the surface processing with high accuracy over such a wide range. Therefore, the method of widening the width of the rectangular rib in the left-right direction as described above is easily affected by the accuracy of the surface processing, and there is a risk of optical axis misalignment.
[0009] Therefore, as a method of reducing the area of the contact portion while the rib is in contact with the side wall of the substrate in the vertical and horizontal directions, for example, a rectangular rib may be made smaller. However, in this case, the rigidity of the rib may be weakened and the rib may be deformed. Such deformation of the rib may lead to a decrease in positioning accuracy. Alternatively, as another method of reducing the area of the contact portion while the rib is in contact with the side wall of the substrate in the vertical and horizontal directions, for example, a cylindrical rib may be made to contact the side wall of the substrate. However, in this case, the contact portion between the rib and the side wall of the substrate is in line contact, which leads to stress concentration at the contact portion. Such stress concentration may cause deformation of the rib or substrate starting from the contact portion, and the deformation of the rib or substrate may lead to a decrease in positioning accuracy.
[0010] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and aims to provide an in-vehicle light source unit that can suppress a decrease in positioning accuracy between a board on which a light source is mounted and a holding member that holds the board, and that can suppress optical axis misalignment.
[0011] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the in-vehicle light source unit of the present invention comprises a holding member having a pair of ribs, and a substrate arranged on the holding member and including a pair of fitting portions into which each of the ribs fits, on which a light source is mounted, wherein when viewed along the height direction of each of the ribs, each of the ribs includes an extending portion extending in a direction different from the parallel direction of the pair of ribs and having planar end faces, and a planar protruding portion protruding from a part of the extending portion in a direction different from the extension direction of the extending portions toward the sides of the pair of ribs approaching each other or receding from each other, and whose end faces have an in-plane direction different from that of the both end faces of the extending portions, and each of the fitting portions includes a pair of first facing portions facing the both end faces of the extending portions, and a second facing portion facing the end faces of the protruding portions.
[0012] According to this in-vehicle light source unit, when viewed along the height direction of each rib, each rib includes a protruding portion that protrudes toward or away from the pair of ribs in a predetermined direction, and each of the pair of fitting portions includes a second facing portion that faces an end face of the protruding portion. Therefore, when the board is about to move along the predetermined direction relative to the holding member, the movement of the board along the predetermined direction relative to the holding member is restricted by the end face of the protruding portion of one rib abutting against the second facing portion of one fitting portion into which the rib fits, or the end face of the protruding portion of the other rib abutting against the second facing portion of the other fitting portion into which the rib fits, and the board is positioned relative to the holding member in the predetermined direction.
[0013] Moreover, according to this vehicle-mounted light source unit, when viewed along the height direction of each rib, each rib includes an extending portion extending in a direction different from the predetermined direction, and each of the pair of fitting portions includes a pair of first facing portions facing both end faces of the extending portion. Also, the in-plane direction of both end faces of the extending portion is different from the in-plane direction of the end face of the protruding portion. Therefore, when the substrate is to move relative to the holding member along a direction perpendicular to both the predetermined direction and the height direction, the substrate is restricted from moving relative to the holding member along a direction perpendicular to both the predetermined direction and the height direction by abutment between one of the end faces of the extending portion and one of the pair of first facing portions of the fitting portion, or abutment between the other end face of the extending portion and the other of the pair of first facing portions of the fitting portion, and the substrate is positioned relative to the holding member in the direction perpendicular to both the predetermined direction and the height direction.
[0014] Moreover, according to this in-vehicle light source unit, the planar end faces of the extension face the first facing portion of the fitting portion, and therefore the planar end faces of the extension face the first facing portion. The planar end faces of the protrusion face the second facing portion of the fitting portion, and therefore the end faces of the protrusion face the second facing portion. Therefore, unlike, for example, when the rib is cylindrical, the rib and the fitting portion are prevented from coming into line contact, and stress concentration at the contact portion can be prevented. Therefore, deformation of the rib or the substrate originating from the contact portion can be prevented, and a decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate and the holding member can be prevented.
[0015] In addition, according to this vehicle-mounted light source unit, the rib has a configuration in which a protrusion is added to the extension portion. Therefore, in order to position the rib in both the predetermined direction and the direction perpendicular to the predetermined direction, the rib can be made larger and the rigidity of the rib can be ensured, compared to a case in which, for example, a rectangular rib is entirely reduced in size and the entire side surface of the rib is abutted against the fitting portion. Therefore, deformation of the rib can be suppressed, and a decrease in the accuracy of positioning can be suppressed.
[0016] In addition, with this vehicle-mounted light source unit, both ends of the extension abut against the fitting of the board, so the contact area between the rib and the fitting in the extension direction can be made smaller than when the entire end face of the rib in the extension direction of the extension abuts against the fitting. In addition, with this vehicle-mounted light source unit, the end face of the protruding portion protruding from a part of the extension abuts against the fitting of the holding member, so the contact area between the rib and the fitting in the protruding direction can be made smaller than when the entire side face of the rib in the protruding direction abuts against the fitting. In this way, with this vehicle-mounted light source unit, the contact area between the rib and the fitting can be made smaller, so that it is less susceptible to the influence of surface processing accuracy, and it is possible to suppress misalignment of the optical axis of the light emitted from the light source.
[0017] In this manner, according to this in-vehicle light source unit, a decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate and the holding member can be suppressed, and optical axis misalignment can be suppressed.
[0018] When viewed along the height direction of each of the ribs, it is preferable that the position of the end face of the protrusion in the extension direction is between the both end faces of the extension portion.
[0019] The fitting portion may be, for example, a through hole or a notch formed in the substrate. When the fitting portion is a through hole or a notch, a rounded corner in the extending direction of the through hole or the notch may be formed when the through hole or the notch is formed in the substrate. Even in such a case, if the position of the tip of the protruding portion in the extending direction is between both end faces of the extending portion when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the end face of the protruding portion can be prevented from abutting against the rounded corner, and the end face of the protruding portion and the fitting portion can be easily brought into surface contact with each other.
[0020] In addition, when the position of the tip of the protrusion in the above-mentioned extension direction is between both end faces of the extension portion, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the protrusion may extend in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction from the center of the extension portion in the extension direction.
[0021] In this way, by having the protruding portion protrude in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction from the center of the extension portion in the extension direction, it is possible to more effectively avoid the protruding portion abutting against the R formed at the corner of the through hole or the notch in the extension direction as the fitting portion.
[0022] It is also preferable that the protruding portion of each of the ribs protrudes from a part of the extending portion on the sides of the pair of ribs approaching each other.
[0023] In the center of the substrate on which the light source is mounted, there is a tendency for many wirings connected to the light source to be formed. Therefore, in order to avoid such wirings, it is preferable that each of the pair of fitting parts is formed on the side close to the edge of the substrate. When each of the fitting parts is formed on the side close to the edge of the substrate, the length of the inner region of the substrate from one fitting part to the other fitting part is likely to be longer than the length of the outer region of the substrate from each fitting part to the outer edge of the substrate. Therefore, the inner region of the substrate is likely to be stronger in rigidity than the outer region of the substrate. If the protruding parts of each rib are protruding toward the side of the pair of ribs that approach each other, the tip of each protruding part can be abutted against the inner region of the substrate that has a stronger rigidity. Therefore, deformation of the substrate can be suppressed compared to the case where the protruding parts of each rib are protruding toward the side of the pair of ribs that move away from each other.
[0024] In addition, the direction in which the protruding portions of each of the ribs protrude may be parallel to the left-right direction, and the contact area between the end face of the extension portion and the first opposing portion may be larger than the contact area between the end face of the protruding portion and the second opposing portion.
[0025] Since the vertical vibration during the vehicle running tends to be larger than the horizontal vibration, the rib is likely to receive a stronger force in a direction parallel to the vertical direction during the vehicle running. When the vehicle-mounted light source unit is mounted on the vehicle, if the protruding direction of the rib is parallel to the horizontal direction, the extending direction of the extending portion can be considered to be a direction generally parallel to the vertical direction. If the contact area between the end face of the extending portion and the first facing portion is larger than the contact area between the end face of the protruding portion and the second facing portion, the rigidity of the end face of the extending portion to which the force due to the vertical vibration is mainly applied can be made stronger than the rigidity of the end face of the protruding portion to which the force due to the horizontal vibration is mainly applied. Therefore, the deformation of the rib during the vehicle running can be more effectively suppressed.
[0026] In addition, the direction in which the protruding portions of each of the ribs protrude may be parallel to the left-right direction, and the length of the extending portion along the extending direction may be longer than the length of the protruding portions along the protruding direction.
[0027] Increasing the length of the extension portion in the extension direction in this manner increases the rigidity of the extension portion, which makes it possible to more effectively suppress deformation of the rib even when a strong force is applied to the rib in the vertical direction while the vehicle is traveling.
[0028] As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide an in-vehicle light source unit in which the board on which the light source is mounted and the holding member that holds the board can be positioned with high precision, and optical axis misalignment can be suppressed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0030] Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the in-vehicle light source unit according to the present invention will be illustrated with the accompanying drawings. The embodiments illustrated below are intended to facilitate understanding of the present invention, and are not intended to limit the present invention. The present invention can be modified or improved from the following embodiments without departing from the spirit of the present invention. In addition, in this specification, the dimensions of each member may be exaggerated in order to facilitate understanding.
[0031] (First embodiment) FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a vehicle lamp including an in-vehicle light source unit according to this embodiment. In this embodiment, this vehicle lamp is configured as a vehicle headlamp 1. Vehicle headlamps are generally provided on the left and right sides of the front of a vehicle, and these vehicle headlamps have roughly the same configuration except that they are attached to the left and right sides. Therefore, only the vehicle headlamp on one side of the left and right sides will be described below.
[0032] As shown in Fig. 1, the vehicle headlamp 1 of this embodiment mainly comprises a housing 2, a lamp unit 3, and a support unit 4. Note that Fig. 1 is a side view of the vehicle headlamp 1, and in Fig. 1, the housing 2 is shown in cross section for ease of understanding.
[0033] The housing 2 mainly comprises a lamp housing 11, a front cover 12, and a back cover 13. An opening is formed on the front side of the lamp housing 11, and this front opening is closed by a light-transmitting front cover 12 fixed to the lamp housing 11. An opening that is smaller than the front opening is formed on the rear side of the lamp housing 11. This rear opening is closed by a back cover 13 fixed to the lamp housing 11.
[0034] A space formed by the lamp housing 11, the front cover 12, and the back cover 13 is a lamp chamber R. In the lamp chamber R, the lamp unit 3 and the support unit 4 are housed.
[0035] The support unit 4 is attached to the lamp unit 3 from the rear side of the lamp unit 3 to support the lamp unit 3. This support unit 4 is fixed to the housing 2 by a configuration not shown. Therefore, the lamp unit 3 is fixed to the housing 2 via this support unit 4.
[0036] Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the lamp unit 3 shown in Fig. 1. As shown in Fig. 2, the lamp unit 3 of this embodiment mainly includes a projection lens 20, a lens holder 25, and an in-vehicle light source unit LU.
[0037] The in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a support plate 30, a reflector unit 40, a substrate 50, and a heat sink 80 as main components.
[0038] The heat sink 80 is formed from a material with excellent heat dissipation properties, for example, metal. Fig. 3 is a front view of the heat sink 80 as viewed along the height direction of a rib described later, showing the heat sink 80 as viewed from the front side. As shown in Fig. 3, the heat sink 80 of this embodiment is formed in a substantially square shape as viewed from the front, and includes a ventilation section 82 located slightly above the center of the heat sink 80 in the up-down direction, and a board mounting section 83 located below the ventilation section 82.
[0039] 2 and 3, a plurality of ventilation holes 82H penetrating in the front-rear direction are formed in the ventilation section 82. A fan (not shown) is mounted behind the heat sink 80, and the fan blows air to the front side of the heat sink 80 through the ventilation holes 82H.
[0040] Further, bosses 87 extending forward are provided in the vicinity of the left and right ends of the upper edge of the ventilation portion 82 .
[0041] A front surface 83f of the substrate mounting portion 83 is an inclined surface that protrudes forward from the top to the bottom. The upper edge of the substrate mounting portion 83 is connected to the lower edge of the ventilation portion 82. In this embodiment, a boss 88, a boss 89, a base 95, and a pair of ribs, that is, a first rib 94L and a second rib 94R, are provided on the front surface 83f of the substrate mounting portion 83.
[0042] The bosses 88 are provided near the left and right ends of the upper edge of the substrate mounting portion 83, and extend forward. The bosses 88 are provided approximately directly below each of the bosses 88, and extend forward.
[0043] The base 95 is a portion that protrudes forward from the front surface 83f of the substrate mounting portion 83, and has an outer shape that is generally symmetrical with respect to a line that passes through the center in the left-right direction of the heat sink 80 and extends in the up-down direction. The front surface 95f of the base 95 is generally parallel to the front surface 83f of the substrate mounting portion 83. At least a portion of the substrate 50 is placed on the front surface 95f of the base 95.
[0044] The first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude forward from the front surface 83f of the substrate mounting portion 83. The height direction of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R is perpendicular to the left-right direction. The first rib 94L is provided on the left side, which is one side of a line that passes through the center in the left-right direction of the heat sink 80 and extends in the up-down direction, and the second rib 94R is provided on the right side, which is the other side of the line. In this embodiment, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are provided at the same position in the up-down direction. Thus, in this embodiment, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are arranged in parallel along the left-right direction. In addition, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are located between the boss 88 and the boss 89 in the up-down direction. In addition, the first rib 94L is located approximately directly below the left boss 87 of the pair of bosses 87 described above, and the second rib 94R is located approximately directly below the right boss 87.
[0045] FIG. 4 is an enlarged perspective view of the first rib 94L shown in FIG. 2. As shown in FIG. 4, the first rib 94L has an extending portion 94E and a protruding portion 94P, and the extending portion 94E and the protruding portion 94P protrude forward from the front surface 83f of the board mounting portion 83, and this protruding direction is the height direction of the first rib 94L. The extending portion 94E extends along a direction perpendicular to both the height direction and the left-right direction of the rib. Therefore, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the extending portion 94E extends in a direction different from the direction in which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are arranged side by side. In this embodiment, the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is generally parallel to the up-down direction. Note that the length of the extending portion 94E in the extending direction is longer than the length of the extending portion 94E in the left-right direction. When viewed along the height direction of the rib, the protruding portion 94P protrudes to the right from the center in the extension direction of the extending portion 94E, and in this embodiment, the length of the protruding portion 94P in the protruding direction is shorter than the length of the protruding portion 94P in the extension direction. However, the length of the protruding portion 94P in the protruding direction may be the same as or shorter than the length of the protruding portion 94P in the extension direction.
[0046] The center of the extension portion 94E in the extension direction is the top surface 94T of the first rib 94L, and this top surface 94T is the surface located most forward of the first rib 94L. The extension portion 94E includes this top surface 94T, a first inclined surface 94ES1, a second inclined surface 94ES2, an upper end surface 94EU, and a lower end surface 94ED. The first inclined surface 94ES1 is a surface that gradually inclines backward as it goes from the upper end of the top surface 94T to the upper side. The second inclined surface 94ES2 is a surface that gradually inclines backward as it goes from the lower end of the top surface 94T to the lower side. The upper end surface 94EU is connected to the upper end of the first inclined surface 94ES1 and is a flat surface parallel to both the height direction and the left-right direction of the rib. The lower end surface 94ED is connected to the lower end of the second inclined surface 94ES2 and is a flat surface parallel to both the height direction and the left-right direction of the rib. The planar surface includes not only flat surfaces but also surfaces that are curved to a degree that may occur during manufacturing.
[0047] The protrusion 94P includes an inclined surface 94PS and an end surface 94PT. The inclined surface 94PS is a surface that inclines backward from the right end of the top surface 94T toward the right side. The end surface 94PT is a planar surface that is connected to the right end of the inclined surface 94PS and is parallel to both the height direction of the rib and the extension direction of the extension 94E. Therefore, the end surface 94PT of the protrusion 94P has an in-plane direction different from the upper end surface 94EU and the lower end surface 94ED of the extension 94E.
[0048] The second rib 94R has a similar configuration to the first rib 94L, except that the protruding portion 94P protrudes to the left.
[0049] 2, the substrate 50 is a plate-like member made of, for example, metal. The substrate 50 has an outer shape that is generally symmetrical with respect to a line that passes through the center in the left-right direction of the substrate 50 and extends in the up-down direction. The substrate 50 is formed with a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R that penetrate the substrate 50.
[0050] In this embodiment, the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R have the same dimensions and the same roughly square outer shape, and the four corners of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R each have an R formed when drilling the substrate 50. The first through hole 51L is located near the left edge, which is one side based on a line that passes through the center in the left-right direction of the substrate 50 and extends in the up-down direction, and the second through hole 51R is located near the right edge, which is the other side based on the line. In this embodiment, the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R are provided at the same position in the up-down direction.
[0051] In this embodiment, by inserting the first rib 94L into the first through hole 51L, a part of the first rib 94L abuts against the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 that defines the first through hole 51L. Thus, the first rib 94L fits into the first through hole 51L. Also, by inserting the second rib 94R into the second through hole 51R, a part of the second rib 94R abuts against the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 that defines the second through hole 51R. Thus, the second rib 94R fits into the second through hole 51R. As a result, the substrate 50 is held by the heat sink 80 with the substrate 50 placed on the heat sink 80. Thus, in this embodiment, the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R function as fitting parts into which the ribs fit, and the heat sink 80 functions as a holding member that holds the substrate 50. In this embodiment, the in-plane direction of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 is approximately parallel to the height direction of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R.
[0052] FIG. 5 is a front view of the substrate 50 placed on the heat sink 80 and held by the heat sink 80, viewed along the height direction of the ribs. As shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of light sources 63a and a plurality of light sources 63b are mounted on the front surface 50f of the substrate 50. These light sources 63a and 63b may be, for example, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). The plurality of light sources 63a and 63b are arranged in parallel in two tiers, one above the other, along the left-right direction in an area between the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R in the left-right direction. The light source 63a is arranged in parallel in the upper tier and emits light that forms, for example, a low beam. On the other hand, the light source 63b is arranged in parallel in the lower tier and emits light that forms, for example, a high beam. In addition, a connector 64 that is connected to an external power source is mounted directly below the plurality of light sources 63a and 63b on the front surface 50f of the substrate 50, and the connector 64 and the plurality of light sources 63a and 63b are electrically connected via a power supply circuit 65. Therefore, the multiple light sources 63a, 63b emit light when power is supplied to the connector 64. In addition, in the extending direction of the extending portions 94E of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are located between the row of the light sources 63a and the row of the light sources 63b.
[0053] 2, the reflector unit 40 is fixed to the heat sink 80, for example, via screws, with the substrate 50 sandwiched between the reflector unit 40 and the heat sink 80. The reflector unit 40 is equipped with a reflector and a shade that reflects light emitted from the multiple light sources 63a, 63b and guides the light to the projection lens 20. The light emitted from the multiple light sources 63a, 63b passes through the reflectors, shades, and projection lens 20 to become light that forms, for example, a low beam or a high beam.
[0054] The support plate 30 is a member formed by bending an elastic metal plate-shaped member. This support plate 30 covers the above-mentioned connector 64 and the like mounted on the substrate 50 in a state where it is fixed to the heat sink 80. Therefore, even if the vehicle headlamp 1 is exposed to sunlight, the support plate 30 blocks the connector 64 and the like from the sunlight, and the connector 64 and the like are prevented from being damaged by the sunlight.
[0055] The lens holder 25 is a generally cylindrical member extending in the front-rear direction. The lens holder 25 is fixed to the heat sink 80 so as to sandwich the substrate 50, the reflector unit 40, the support plate 30, etc. between the lens holder 25 and the heat sink 80. The projection lens 20 is fixed to the front end of the lens holder 25, and the front opening of the lens holder 25 is blocked by this projection lens 20.
[0056] Next, the relationship between the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R of the heat sink 80 and the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R of the substrate 50 will be described in detail.
[0057] Fig. 6 is a front view of the rib and its vicinity shown in Fig. 5, seen along the height direction of the rib, and shows the rib and its vicinity in an enlarged schematic view. As shown in Fig. 6, each of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 defining the first through hole 51L and the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 defining the second through hole 51R includes an R portion 52R formed at the four corners, an upper straight portion 52U in the extension direction of the above-mentioned extension portion 94E, a lower straight portion 52D in the extension direction, a left straight portion 52L, and a right straight portion 52I. Each of the straight portions 52U and 52D extends along the left-right direction, and each of the straight portions 52L and 52I extends along the extension direction of the above-mentioned extension portion 94E.
[0058] 6, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R each have a T-shaped outer shape and the same dimensions when viewed along the height direction of the rib. The cross-sectional shapes of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R in a plane that passes through the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED, which are both end faces in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E, and the end face 94PT of the protrusion portion 94P and is perpendicular to the height direction of the rib, are the same in the height direction of the rib. The extension portion 94E and the protrusion portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R each have a rectangular shape when viewed along the height direction of the rib.
[0059] In each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the length VL1 along the extension direction of the extension portion 94E is approximately the same as the total length VL2 along the extension direction of each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R. For example, the length VL1 along the extension direction of the extension portion 94E may be shorter than the total length VL2 of the through holes 51L and 51R by approximately 5 / 100 or less. In addition, the length HL1a along the left-right direction of the extension portion 94E is shorter than the length HL2 along the left-right direction of each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R. In this embodiment, the length HL1a along the left-right direction of the extension portion 94E is approximately equal to the length along the left-right direction of each of the straight line portions 52U and 52D of the inner wall 52. For this reason, in this embodiment, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, an upper end surface 94EU of the extending portion 94E faces the straight portion 52U of the inner wall 52 and is in general surface contact with the straight portion 52U along the left-right direction, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. Also, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, a lower end surface 94ED of the extending portion 94E faces the straight portion 52D of the inner wall 52. In this manner, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R that are the fitting portions includes straight portions 52U, 52D as a pair of first facing portions that face both end surfaces of the extending portion 94E.
[0060] The protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L protrudes to the right based on the extending portion 94E of the first rib 94L, and the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrudes to the left based on the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R. Thus, in this embodiment, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward each other of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R. In this embodiment, when viewed along the height direction of the ribs, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the center of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E and the center of the extending portion 94E in the extending direction are located on the same line extending along the left-right direction. In each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the length HL1b of the protruding portion 94P along the left-right direction is approximately equal to the radius of the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52.
[0061] In the first rib 94L, the length VL1b of the protruding portion 94P along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is approximately equal to the length of the straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 along the extending direction. In this embodiment, the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L faces the straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. In this manner, the inner wall 52 defining the first through hole 51L as the fitting portion includes the straight portion 52I as a second facing portion facing the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L. Also, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E.
[0062] In the second rib 94R, the length VL1b of the protruding portion 94P along the extending direction is approximately equal to the length of the straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 along the extending direction. In this embodiment, the end face 94PT of the second rib 94R faces the straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52L along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. In this manner, the inner wall 52 defining the second through hole 51R as the fitting portion includes the straight portion 52L as the second facing portion facing the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R. Also, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E.
[0063] As shown in FIG. 6, the total length HL1 of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R along the left-right direction is the sum of the length HL1a of the extension portion 94E along the left-right direction and the length HL1b of the protrusion portion 94P along the left-right direction. Therefore, the length HL1a of the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extension portion 94E along the left-right direction is shorter than the length HL1 of the rib along the left-right direction. In addition, the total length of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R along the above-mentioned extension direction is equal to the length VL1 of the extension portion 94E along the above-mentioned extension direction. Therefore, the length VL1b of the end face 94PT of the protrusion portion 94P along the above-mentioned extension direction is shorter than the length of the rib along the above-mentioned extension direction.
[0064] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 arranged on the heat sink 80, including a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted, and on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted. Each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extension portion 94E and a protrusion portion 94P. When viewed along the height direction of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the extension portion 94E of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R extends in a direction different from the parallel direction of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and the upper end surface 94EU and the lower end surface 94ED, which are both end surfaces in the extension direction, are flat. Also, when viewed as described above, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude from a part of the extending portion 94E in a direction different from the extending direction of the extending portion 94E toward the side where the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R approach each other, and the end face 94PT in the protruding direction is planar having an in-plane direction different from the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Also, each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R as a fitting portion includes a pair of first facing portions facing the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E and a second facing portion facing the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P.
[0065] According to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, when viewed along the height direction of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes a protruding portion 94P that protrudes toward the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R in the left-right direction, and each of the inner walls 52 that define the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R that are the fitting portions includes a second facing portion that faces the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P. Therefore, when the substrate 50 is about to move leftward relative to the heat sink 80, the substrate 50 is restricted from moving leftward relative to the heat sink 80 by the abutment between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the straight portion 52I as the second facing portion of the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L. On the other hand, when the substrate 50 is about to move to the right relative to the heat sink 80, the substrate 50 is restricted from moving to the right relative to the heat sink 80 by the abutment between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R and the straight portion 52L serving as the second facing portion of the inner wall 52 that defines the second through hole 51R. In this way, the substrate 50 is positioned relative to the heat sink 80 in the left-right direction.
[0066] According to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, when viewed along the height direction of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extending portion 94E extending in a direction different from the left-right direction, and each of the inner walls 52 defining the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R includes straight portions 52U, 52D as a pair of first facing portions facing the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. In addition, the in-plane directions of the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E are parallel to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib, and therefore are different from the in-plane direction of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P, which is parallel to both the extending direction of the extending portion 94E and the height direction of the rib. Therefore, when the substrate 50 moves relative to the heat sink 80 along the extension direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib, the substrate 50 is restricted from moving in the direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib relative to the heat sink 80 by the abutment of the upper end surface 94EU of the extension portion 94E with the straight portion 52U or the abutment of the lower end surface 94ED of the extension portion 94E with the straight portion 52I. In this way, the substrate 50 is positioned relative to the heat sink 80 in the direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib. In this embodiment, the direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib is generally parallel to the up-down direction. Therefore, with this vehicle-mounted light source unit LU, the abutment between the upper end face 94EU of the extension portion 94E and the straight portion 52U, or the abutment between the lower end face 94ED of the extension portion 94E and the straight portion 52I, restricts the movement of the substrate 50 in the vertical direction relative to the heat sink 80, and the substrate 50 is positioned in the vertical direction relative to the heat sink 80.
[0067] In addition, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, the upper end surface 94EU of the extension portion 94E is in surface contact with the straight portion 52U of the inner wall 52, the lower end surface 94ED of the extension portion 94E is in surface contact with the straight portion 52D of the inner wall 52, and the end surface 94PT of the protrusion portion 94P is in surface contact with the straight portions 52I and 52L of the inner wall 52. Therefore, unlike the case where the rib is cylindrical, for example, the rib and the fitting portion are prevented from being in line contact, and stress concentration at the contact portion can be prevented. Therefore, deformation of the rib and the substrate 50 originating from the contact portion can be prevented, and a decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 as a holding member can be prevented.
[0068] In addition, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, the rib has a configuration in which a protrusion 94P is added to an extension 94E. Therefore, in order to position the rib in both the left-right direction and the direction perpendicular to the left-right direction, the rib can be made larger and the rigidity of the rib can be ensured, compared to the case in which, for example, a rectangular rib is reduced overall and abutted against the through hole. Therefore, the deformation of the rib can be suppressed, and the deterioration of the positioning accuracy can be suppressed.
[0069] In addition, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, the upper end surface 94EU and the lower end surface 94ED of the extension portion 94E abut against the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50, so that the contact area between the rib and the inner wall 52 in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E can be made smaller than when the entire end surface of the rib in the extension direction abuts against the inner wall 52. Furthermore, according to this in-vehicle light source unit LU, the end surface 94PT of the protruding portion 94P protruding from a part of the extension portion 94E abuts against the inner wall 52, so that the contact area between the rib and the inner wall 52 in the left-right direction can be made smaller than when the entire side surface of the rib in the left-right direction abuts against the inner wall 52. In this way, according to this in-vehicle light source unit LU, the contact area between the rib and the inner wall 52 can be made smaller than when the entire side surface of the rib in the left-right direction abuts against the inner wall 52, so that it is less susceptible to the influence of the accuracy of surface processing, and it is possible to suppress the misalignment of the optical axis of the light emitted from the light sources 63a and 63b.
[0070] In this way, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, the decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed, and the optical axis deviation can be suppressed.
[0071] In addition, in the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, as described above, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. With this configuration, even if the R portion 52R is formed at a corner of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 by the process of forming a through hole in the substrate 50, it is possible to prevent the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P from abutting against the R portion 52R, and it becomes easier to abut the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P against the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50.
[0072] In addition, in the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, as described above, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the protruding portion 94P extends in the left-right direction perpendicular to the extending direction from the center in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E. By making the protruding portion 94P protrude in the direction perpendicular to the extending direction from the center in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E in this manner, it is possible to more effectively prevent the protruding portion 94P from contacting the R portion 52R formed at the corner in the extending direction of the through hole as the fitting portion.
[0073] In addition, in the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU of this embodiment, as described above, when viewed along the height direction of the ribs, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrude from a part of the extending portion 94E to the side where the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R approach each other. As shown in FIG. 5, wiring such as the power supply circuit 65 connected to the light sources 63a and 63b tends to be formed in the center of the substrate 50. Therefore, in order to avoid such wiring, it is preferable to form the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R on the side closer to the end of the substrate 50. When the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R are formed on the side closer to the end of the substrate 50, the length of the inner region of the substrate 50 from the first through hole 51L to the second through hole 51R is likely to be longer than the length of the outer region of the substrate 50 from the through holes 51L and 51R to the outer edge of the substrate 50. Therefore, the inner region of the substrate 50 is likely to be stronger in rigidity than the outer region of the substrate 50. By making the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that approach each other, the end faces 94PT of the protruding portions 94P can be brought into contact with the inner regions of the substrate 50, which has high rigidity. Therefore, deformation of the substrate 50 can be suppressed compared to when the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that move away from each other.
[0074] Second embodiment Next, a second embodiment will be described. Components that are the same as or equivalent to those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described again unless otherwise specified.
[0075] The vehicle headlamp of this embodiment has the same configuration as the vehicle headlamp 1 of the first embodiment, except that the shapes of the first rib and the second rib of the in-vehicle light source unit LU are different from the shapes of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R of the first embodiment. Therefore, hereinafter, only the relationship between the first rib and the second rib of this embodiment and the first through hole and the second through hole of the substrate will be described.
[0076] Fig. 7 is a view showing a part of the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU according to this embodiment from the same viewpoint as Fig. 6. As shown in Fig. 7, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R have symmetrical outer shapes and the same dimensions when viewed along the height direction of the ribs. Each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extension portion 94E and a protrusion portion 94P. The extension portion 94E is a rectangular portion extending in a direction generally parallel to the up-down direction.
[0077] The protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L is a trapezoidal portion protruding to the right from a part of the extending portion 94E. The lower base of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the right side of the extending portion 94E of the first rib 94L coincide with each other, and the lower base and the right side are shown by broken lines in FIG. 7. The protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R is a trapezoidal portion protruding to the left from a part of the extending portion 94E. The lower base of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R and the left side of the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R coincide with each other, and the lower base and the left side are shown by broken lines in FIG. 7. Thus, in this embodiment, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude to the sides where the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R approach each other.
[0078] As shown in Fig. 7, in this embodiment, an end face 94PT, which is the upper base of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L, faces the right straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L of the substrate 50, and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52I along the extension direction of the extending portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. Therefore, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the above-mentioned extension direction is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. In addition, an end face 94PT, which is the upper base of the second rib 94R, faces the left straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 that defines the second through hole 51R of the substrate 50, and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52L along the extension direction of the extending portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. Therefore, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Thus, in this embodiment, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R that are the fitting portions includes the straight line portions 52I, 52L as second facing portions that face the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P.
[0079] In this embodiment, the extension portion 94E has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment. Therefore, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the length of the extension portion 94E along the extension direction is approximately the same as the total length of each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R along the extension direction. In addition, the length of the extension portion 94E along the left-right direction is shorter than the length of each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R along the left-right direction. In this embodiment, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the upper end surface 94EU of the extension portion 94E faces the straight portion 52U of the inner wall 52 and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52U along the left-right direction, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. In each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the lower end surface 94ED of the extension portion 94E faces the straight portion 52D of the inner wall 52. Thus, in this embodiment, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R, which are the mating portions, includes a pair of straight line portions 52U, 52D as first opposing portions that face the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED, which are both end faces of the extension portion 94E.
[0080] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted, the substrate 50 being disposed on the heat sink 80 and including a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted. Also, each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R as the fitting portion includes a pair of first facing portions facing the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E and a second facing portion facing the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P.
[0081] Therefore, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, similarly to the first embodiment, the decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed, and the optical axis deviation can be suppressed.
[0082] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P from contacting the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52, and it becomes easier to make the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P contact the inner wall 52.
[0083] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that approach each other. Therefore, deformation of the substrate 50 can be suppressed compared to a case in which the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are made to protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that move away from each other.
[0084] Third embodiment Next, a third embodiment will be described. Components that are the same as or equivalent to those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described again unless otherwise specified.
[0085] The vehicle headlamp of this embodiment has the same configuration as the vehicle headlamp 1 of the first embodiment, except that the shapes of the first rib and the second rib of the in-vehicle light source unit LU are different from the shapes of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R of the first embodiment. Therefore, hereinafter, only the relationship between the first rib and the second rib of this embodiment and the first through hole and the second through hole of the substrate will be described.
[0086] Fig. 8 is a view showing a part of the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU according to this embodiment from the same viewpoint as Fig. 6. As shown in Fig. 8, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R have symmetrical shapes and the same dimensions when viewed along the height direction of the ribs. Each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extension portion 94E and a protrusion portion 94P. The extension portion 94E is a rectangular portion extending in a direction generally parallel to the up-down direction.
[0087] The protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L is formed in a parallelogram shape protruding from the lower half side of the extending portion 94E to the right and upward with respect to the extending portion 94E. In this embodiment, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L is inclined at an angle greater than 0° and smaller than 90° with respect to a line extending along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and for example, this angle is set to 45°. The protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R is formed in a parallelogram shape protruding from the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R to the left and upward with respect to the extending portion 94E. In this embodiment, the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R is inclined at an angle greater than 0° and smaller than 90° with respect to a line extending along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and for example, this angle is set to 45°. In this manner, in this embodiment, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward each other on the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R in the left-right direction.
[0088] 8, in this embodiment, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, an end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L faces the right straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L of the substrate 50, and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52I along the extension direction of the extension portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52. Therefore, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the above-mentioned extension direction is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extension portion 94E. Also, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, an end face 94PT of the second rib 94R faces the left straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 that defines the second through hole 51R of the substrate 50, and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52L along the extension direction of the extension portion 94E, and does not abut against the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52.
[0089] In this embodiment, the extension portion 94E has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment. Thus, in this embodiment, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R that are fitting portions includes the straight line portions 52U, 52D that serve as a pair of first opposing portions that face both end faces of the extending portion 94E.
[0090] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted, the substrate 50 being disposed on the heat sink 80 and including a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted.
[0091] Therefore, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, similarly to the first embodiment, the decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed, and the optical axis deviation can be suppressed.
[0092] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P from contacting the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52, and it becomes easier to make the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P contact the inner wall 52.
[0093] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that approach each other. Therefore, deformation of the substrate 50 can be suppressed compared to a case in which the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are made to protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that move away from each other.
[0094] (Fourth embodiment) Next, a fourth embodiment will be described. Components that are the same as or equivalent to those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described again unless otherwise specified.
[0095] The vehicle headlamp of this embodiment has the same configuration as the vehicle headlamp 1 of the first embodiment, except that the shapes of the first rib and the second rib of the in-vehicle light source unit LU are different from the shapes of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R of the first embodiment. Therefore, hereinafter, only the relationship between the first rib and the second rib of this embodiment and the first through hole and the second through hole of the substrate will be described.
[0096] The vehicle-mounted light source unit LU of this embodiment differs from the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU of the first embodiment only in the direction in which the protruding portion 94P protrudes. FIG. 9 is a view showing a part of the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU according to this embodiment from the same viewpoint as FIG. 6. As shown in FIG. 9, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L of this embodiment is formed in a rectangular shape protruding leftward from the extending portion 94E of the first rib 94L based on the extending portion 94E when viewed along the height direction of the rib. Also, in this embodiment, the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R is formed in a rectangular shape protruding rightward from the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R based on the extending portion 94E when viewed along the height direction of the rib. Thus, in this embodiment, in the left-right direction perpendicular to the height direction of the rib and different from the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude to the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that are farther away from each other.
[0097] In this manner, when the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides away from each other, when the substrate 50 moves to the right relative to the heat sink 80, the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L abuts against the straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50, restricting the movement of the substrate 50 to the right. When the substrate 50 moves to the left relative to the heat sink 80, the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R abuts against the straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50, restricting the movement of the substrate 50 to the left. In this manner, the substrate 50 is positioned in the left-right direction by the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R.
[0098] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted, the substrate 50 being disposed on the heat sink 80 and including a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted. Also, when viewed as described above, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude from a part of the extending portion 94E in a direction different from the extending direction of the extending portion 94E toward the side of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R moving away from each other, and the end face 94PT in the protruding direction is planar having an in-plane direction different from the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Also, each of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R as a fitting portion includes a pair of first facing portions facing the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E and a second facing portion facing the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P.
[0099] Therefore, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, similarly to the first embodiment, the decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed, and the optical axis deviation can be suppressed.
[0100] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the position of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E is between the upper end face 94EU and the lower end face 94ED of the extending portion 94E. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P from contacting the R portion 52R of the inner wall 52, and it becomes easier to make the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P contact the inner wall 52.
[0101] Fifth embodiment Next, a fifth embodiment will be described. Components that are the same as or equivalent to those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described again unless otherwise specified.
[0102] The vehicle headlamp of this embodiment has the same configuration as the vehicle headlamp 1 of the first embodiment, except that the shapes of the first rib and the second rib in the in-vehicle light source unit LU are different from the shapes of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R in the first embodiment, and the shapes of the first through hole and the second through hole are different from the shapes of the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R in the first embodiment. Therefore, hereinafter, only the relationship between the first rib and the second rib in this embodiment and the first through hole and the second through hole of the substrate will be described.
[0103] 10 is a view showing a part of the vehicle-mounted light source unit LU according to this embodiment from the same viewpoint as FIG. 6. As shown in FIG. 10, the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R of this embodiment have the same outer shape and dimensions. When viewed along the height direction of the rib, the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R are each formed in a substantially square shape, and unlike the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R of the first embodiment, the R parts at the four corners are so small that they cannot be visually recognized. Therefore, in this embodiment, it can be considered that there are no R parts at the four corners of the inner wall 52.
[0104] As shown in Fig. 10, in this embodiment, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R have symmetrical shapes and the same dimensions when viewed along the height direction of the ribs. Each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extension portion 94E and a protrusion portion 94P. The extension portion 94E is a rectangular portion that extends in a direction generally parallel to the up-down direction.
[0105] The protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L is a rectangular portion protruding to the right from the lower half of the extending portion 94E of the first rib 94L. Therefore, the first rib 94L of this embodiment is formed in an L-shape as a whole. When viewed along the height direction of the rib, the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L faces approximately the lower half of the right straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 that defines the first through hole 51L, and is in surface contact with approximately the lower half of the straight portion 52I along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and does not abut approximately the upper half of the straight portion 52I of the inner wall 52. The protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R is a rectangular portion protruding to the left from the lower half of the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R. Therefore, the second rib 94R of this embodiment is formed in an inverted L-shape as a whole. Furthermore, when viewed along the height direction of the ribs, an end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R faces approximately the lower half of the left straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 that defines the second through hole 51R, and is in surface contact with approximately the lower half of the straight portion 52L along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, but does not abut approximately the upper half of the straight portion 52L of the inner wall 52. Thus, in this embodiment, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and second through hole 51R that are the fitting portions includes the straight portions 52I, 52L as second facing portions that face the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P.
[0106] In this embodiment, the extension portion 94E has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment. In this embodiment, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the upper end surface 94EU in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E faces the straight portion 52U of the inner wall 52 and is in surface contact with the straight portion 52U along the left-right direction, and does not abut against the corners of the inner wall 52 and the vicinity thereof. In each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the lower end surface 94ED of the extension portion 94E faces the straight portion 52D of the inner wall 52. Thus, in this embodiment, the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R that are fitting portions includes the straight line portions 52U, 52D that serve as a pair of first opposing portions that face both end faces of the extending portion 94E.
[0107] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted, the substrate 50 being disposed on the heat sink 80 and including a first through hole 51L and a second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted.
[0108] Therefore, according to the in-vehicle light source unit LU of this embodiment, similarly to the first embodiment, the decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed, and the optical axis deviation can be suppressed.
[0109] In the in-vehicle light source unit LU of the present embodiment, as described above, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L and the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that approach each other. Therefore, deformation of the substrate 50 can be suppressed compared to a case in which the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are made to protrude toward the sides of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R that move away from each other.
[0110] Although the present invention has been described above by taking the above embodiment as an example, the present invention is not limited to this.
[0111] For example, the contact area between the end face of the extension portion 94E and the first facing portion may be the same as the contact area between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P and the second facing portion, or the former may be larger than the latter, or the former may be smaller than the latter. However, when the protruding direction of each of the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R is parallel to the left-right direction, it may be preferable that the contact area between the end face of the extension portion 94E and the first facing portion is larger than the contact area between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P and the second facing portion. Since the vertical vibration during the running of the vehicle tends to be larger than the horizontal vibration, the rib is likely to receive a stronger force in a direction parallel to the vertical direction during the running of the vehicle. When the in-vehicle light source unit LU is mounted on the vehicle, when the protruding direction of the protruding portion 94P is parallel to the left-right direction, the above-mentioned extension direction can be considered to be a direction approximately parallel to the vertical direction. By making the length HL1a along the left-right direction of the upper end face 94EU of the extending portion 94E that abuts against the inner wall 52 longer than the length VL1b along the extending direction of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P, the rigidity of the upper end face 94EU of the extending portion 94E to which the force due to vibration in the up-down direction is mainly applied can be made stronger than the rigidity of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P to which the force due to vibration in the left-right direction is mainly applied. Therefore, it is possible to more effectively suppress deformation of the rib when the vehicle is traveling.
[0112] Also, the length of the extension portion 94E along the extension direction may be the same as the length of the protruding portion 94P along the protruding direction, or the former may be longer than the latter, or the former may be shorter than the latter. However, when the protruding direction of each of the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R is parallel to the left-right direction, it may be preferable that the length of the extension portion 94E along the extension direction is longer than the length of the protruding portion 94P along the protruding direction. As described above, since the vibration in the vertical direction during the running of the vehicle tends to be larger than the vibration in the left-right direction, the rib is likely to receive a stronger force in the direction parallel to the vertical direction during the running of the vehicle. Therefore, by lengthening the length of the extension portion 94E along the extension direction as described above, the rigidity of the extension portion 94E can be increased. Therefore, even if a strong force is applied to the rib in the vertical direction during the running of the vehicle, the deformation of the rib can be more effectively suppressed.
[0113] In the above embodiment, the pair of fitting portions of the substrate 50 are through holes, but at least one of the fitting portions does not need to be a through hole. For example, as shown in FIG. 11, the fitting portions may be cut out. In this modification, the substrate 50 is provided with a first cutout portion 151L cut out from the left end to the right side and a second cutout portion 151R cut out from the right end to the left side. The first cutout portion 151L and the second cutout portion 151R have the same shape and dimensions and are arranged in parallel in the left-right direction. The length of the first cutout portion 151L and the second cutout portion 151R in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E is slightly longer than the length of the extension portion 94E of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R in the extension direction. Additionally, an upper end surface 94EU of the extending portion 94E faces the upper edges of the inner wall 52 of the substrate 50 that defines the first cutout portion 151L and the second cutout portion 151R, and generally comes into surface contact with the inner wall 52 along the left-right direction. Additionally, a lower end surface 94ED of the extending portion 94E faces the lower edges of the inner wall 52 of the first cutout portion 151L and the second cutout portion 151R, and generally comes into surface contact with the inner wall 52 along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E, and generally comes into surface contact with the inner wall 52 along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E. Further, an end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R faces the left end of the inner wall 52 that defines the second cutout portion 151R and is in general surface contact with the inner wall 52 along the extending direction of the extending portion 94E. In this way, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R fit into the first cutout portion 151L and the second cutout portion 151R, and the substrate 50 is positioned relative to the heat sink 80 in the left-right and up-down directions.
[0114] In the above embodiment, the parallel direction of the pair of ribs is parallel to the left-right direction, but the parallel direction may be inclined with respect to the left-right direction. In the above embodiment, the extension direction of the rib extension portion 94E is perpendicular to the height direction of the rib and the left-right direction. However, when viewed along the height direction of the rib, the extension direction of the extension portion 94E may be different from the parallel direction of the pair of ribs. FIG. 12 is a view showing another modified example of the in-vehicle light source unit LU from the same viewpoint as FIG. 6.
[0115] As shown in FIG. 12, in this modification, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are offset from each other in the vertical direction, and the first rib 94L is provided above the second rib 94R. Therefore, the parallel direction of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R is inclined with respect to the left-right direction. Also, the extending direction of the extending portion 94E of the first rib 94L and the extending portion 94E of the second rib 94R is inclined with respect to the vertical direction, which is different from the parallel direction of the pair of ribs. In this modification, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the upper end surface 94EU of the extending portion 94E faces the upper straight portion of the inner wall 52 and is in surface contact with the straight portion along the left-right direction. Also, in each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the lower end surface 94ED of the extending portion 94E faces the lower straight portion of the inner wall 52. In this modification, the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L protrudes to the right from the center in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E. In addition, the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R protrudes to the left from the center in the extension direction of the extension portion 94E. Thus, in this modification, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward each other in the left-right direction perpendicular to the height direction of the rib and different from the extension direction of the extension portion 94E. In addition, in this modification, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R may protrude toward each other in the left-right direction perpendicular to the height direction of the rib and different from the extension direction of the extension portion 94E. In this modification, an end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the first rib 94L faces a straight portion on the right side of the inner wall 52 that defines the first through hole 51L and is in surface contact with the straight portion along the up-down direction. In addition, an end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the second rib 94R faces a straight portion on the left side of the inner wall 52 that defines the second through hole 51R and is in surface contact with the straight portion along the up-down direction. Therefore, in this modification, the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P has an in-plane direction different from both end faces of the extending portion 94E.
[0116] As described above, the in-vehicle light source unit LU according to this modification includes a heat sink 80 as a holding member having a pair of ribs, the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and a substrate 50 on which the light sources 63a and 63b are mounted, the substrate 50 being disposed on the heat sink 80 and including the first through hole 51L and the second through hole 51R as a pair of fitting portions into which the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R are fitted. Each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R includes an extension portion 94E and a protrusion portion 94P. When viewed along the height direction of each of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, the extension portion 94E of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R extends in a direction different from the parallel direction of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R, and the upper end surface 94EU and the lower end surface 94ED, which are both end surfaces in the extending direction, are flat.
[0117] Therefore, similarly to the above embodiment, the movement of the board 50 along the left-right direction relative to the heat sink 80 is restricted by the abutment between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of one rib and the second facing portion of one fitting portion into which the rib fits, or the abutment between the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P of the other rib and the second facing portion of the other fitting portion into which the rib fits, and the board 50 is positioned relative to the heat sink 80 in the left-right direction. Each of the pair of ribs includes an extending portion 94E extending in a direction different from the height direction and left-right direction of the rib, and each of the pair of fitting portions includes a pair of first facing portions facing both end faces of the extending portion 94E. Also, the in-plane direction of both end faces of the extending portion 94E is different from the in-plane direction of the end face 94PT of the protruding portion 94P. Therefore, when the substrate 50 moves relative to the heat sink 80 in a direction perpendicular to the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib, the substrate 50 is restricted from moving relative to the heat sink 80 in a direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib by abutment between one of the end faces of the extension portion 94E and one of the pair of first facing portions of the fitting portion, or abutment between the other end face of the extension portion 94E and the other of the pair of first facing portions of the fitting portion, and the substrate 50 is positioned relative to the heat sink 80 in a direction perpendicular to both the left-right direction and the height direction of the rib. Also, in this modified example, as in the above embodiment, both end faces of the extension portion 94E are in surface contact with the first facing portion of the fitting portion, and the end face 94PT of the protrusion portion 94P is in surface contact with the second facing portion of the fitting portion. Therefore, stress concentration on the abutting portion is suppressed, and a decrease in the positioning accuracy between the substrate 50 and the heat sink 80 can be suppressed. In this modification, as in the above embodiment, the rib has a configuration in which the protruding portion 94P is added to the extending portion 94E, so that the rigidity of the rib can be ensured and deformation of the rib can be suppressed, and a decrease in the positioning accuracy can be suppressed. In this modification, both ends of the extending portion 94E abut against the fitting portion of the substrate 50, so that the contact area between the rib and the fitting portion in the extending direction of the extending portion 94E can be reduced. In this modification, an end face of the protruding portion 94P protruding from a part of the extending portion 94E abuts against the fitting portion of the substrate 50, so that the contact area between the rib and the fitting portion in the protruding direction of the protruding portion 94P can be reduced. In this way, according to this modified example, the contact area between the rib and the fitting portion can be reduced, making it less susceptible to the effects of surface processing accuracy and suppressing misalignment of the optical axis of the light emitted from the light source.
[0118] In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which the vehicle lamp in which the in-vehicle light source unit LU is mounted is the vehicle headlamp 1. However, the vehicle lamp in which the in-vehicle light source unit LU is mounted may be, for example, a lamp mounted in a rear portion of the vehicle or a lamp mounted in a side portion.
[0119] In the above embodiment, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R protrude toward or away from each other in the left-right direction. However, the protruding portions 94P of the first rib 94L and the second rib 94R may protrude toward or away from each other in a direction different from the left-right direction, as long as the direction is different from the extending direction of the extending portion 94E.
[0120] In the above embodiment, the holding member is the heat sink 80 by way of example, but the holding member is not limited to the heat sink 80 .
[0121] According to the present invention, an in-vehicle light source unit is provided in which the board on which the light source is mounted and the holding member that holds the board can be positioned with high precision and optical axis misalignment can be suppressed, and the unit can be used in fields such as automobiles.
