Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an electric kettle. [Background technology]
[0002] Electric kettles used on the dining table, in the kitchen, etc. of ordinary households are widely known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). An electric kettle is composed of a power supply stand formed in a pedestal shape suitable for placing on a table, etc., and a kettle body that can be detachably attached to the power supply stand. The kettle body has a container for storing water (hot water), a nozzle is attached to the bottom of the container, and a handle is provided on the opposite side of the nozzle of the container. The top of the container is open, and an openable and closable lid is attached. When the kettle body is attached to the power supply stand, a heater inside the container is driven by power supplied from the power supply stand, and the stored water can be boiled.
[0003] In such electric kettles, in order to reduce the pressure inside the container that builds up during boiling, or to prevent negative pressure inside the kettle from making it difficult for water (hot water) to come out of the nozzle when pouring, a water vapor passage is formed in the lid to discharge water vapor generated inside the container to the outside (see, for example, Patent Document 2). In addition, the water vapor passage is formed so as to bend inside the lid to prevent a large amount of water (hot water) from leaking out when the kettle body is turned over on its side. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Special Publication No. 2014-505567 [Patent Document 2] JP 2010-131234 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] The above electric kettle has the following problems. That is, if there is only one steam passage, the pressure inside the kettle cannot be sufficiently released during boiling, and the hot water inside may spurt out from the steam passage. On the other hand, if the inner diameter of the steam passage is designed to be large in order to ensure a sufficient flow path for the steam, the pressure inside the kettle during boiling can be reliably released, but the thickness of the lid increases and there is a risk that a large amount of water (hot water) inside may leak through the steam passage when the kettle is turned over. In addition, in order to reliably release the pressure inside the container during boiling, a pressure relief hole may be provided separately on the side of the kettle or on the lid, but there is a risk that the water (hot water) inside may leak from the pressure relief hole when the kettle is turned over.
[0006] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an electric kettle that can release the internal pressure during boiling and can minimize the amount of water (hot water) leaking from the steam passage when the electric kettle is turned over on its side. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In the electric kettle according to this embodiment, the plate-shaped lid that covers the upper opening of the container has a first inlet and a second inlet on the back side of the lid to introduce steam from the hot water stored in the container into the inside of the lid, an outlet on the front side of the lid to discharge the steam introduced into the inside of the lid to the outside of the lid, a first passage provided inside the lid to guide the steam introduced from the first inlet to the outlet, and a second passage provided inside the lid to guide the steam introduced from the second inlet to the outlet. The first inlet and the second inlet are disposed on both the left and right sides of the front-rear center line of the lid. The first passage extends from the first inlet beyond the front-rear center line to the side of the second inlet and is folded back at the side of the second inlet. The second passage extends from the second inlet beyond the front-rear center line to the side of the first inlet and is folded back at the side of the first inlet. Effect of the Invention
[0008] According to the present invention, by providing two water vapor passages, it is possible to reliably release the internal pressure in the electric kettle when boiling, and to minimize the amount of water (hot water) leaking from the water vapor passage when the electric kettle is tipped over. [0010] Hereinafter, an electric kettle according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 12. In these figures, Sa and Sb indicate the direction of steam flow, and L indicates the water level of the water (hot water). In addition, the dashed line P in the figures indicates the front-rear center line of the lid body.
[0011] As shown in FIG. 1, the electric kettle 10 includes a power supply stand 20 that is placed on a table or the like, and a kettle body (hot water storage container) 30 that is detachably attached to the power supply stand 20. The kettle body 30 has a container 31 with an open top. A base end of a nozzle 32 is provided at the front lower part of the container 31. The tip side of the nozzle 32 extends upward. A handle 33 is provided at the rear of the container 31 (the side opposite to the side where the base end of the nozzle 32 is provided). A lid 40 that covers the opening at the top of the container 31 is attached to the top of the container 31 in an openable and closable manner. The container 31 typically has a rough shape of a cylindrical trapezoid tapered toward the top. The lid 40 has a disk shape that fits the top opening of the container 31. In order to set the center of gravity of the kettle body 30 behind the central axis of the container 31, the handle 33 is configured to be heavier than the nozzle 32. Of course, if the center of gravity of the kettle body 30 can be set rearward of the central axis of the container 31, for example, a weight may be provided at the rear portion of the container 31. The general shape of the container 31 is not limited to a cylindrical trapezoid shape, and may be, for example, a cylindrical shape.
[0012] The lid 40 is equipped with a mechanism for discharging water vapor generated inside the container 31 to the outside. An inlet for introducing water vapor into the inside of the lid 40 is provided on the back side of the lid 40, and an outlet for discharging the water vapor introduced into the inside of the lid 40 to the outside is provided on the front side of the lid 40.
[0013] Specifically, the lid body 40 is configured by stacking a plurality of parts as shown in Figures 2 and 3. In this embodiment, the lid body 40 has an inner lid (lower layer member) 50 located in the lowest layer, a middle lid (upper layer member) 90 located in the middle layer, and an outer lid 120 as a decorative plate located in the highest layer.
[0014] A first inlet 53 and a second inlet 54 are provided on the bottom surface of the inner lid 50 for introducing water vapor in the container 31 into the inside of the lid body 40. An outlet 93 is provided on the side surface of the inner lid 90 for discharging water vapor introduced into the inside of the lid body 40 to the outside. A first passage connecting the first inlet 53 provided in the inner lid 50 and the outlet 93 provided in the inner lid 90 is provided across the inner lid 50 and the inner lid 90. Similarly, a second passage connecting the second inlet 54 provided in the inner lid 50 and the outlet 93 provided in the inner lid 90 is provided across the inner lid 50 and the inner lid 90.
[0015] Hereinafter, the portion of the first passage provided in the inner lid 50 will be distinguished as a first lower passage 51, and the portion provided in the middle lid 90 will be distinguished as a first upper passage 91. Similarly, the portion of the second passage provided in the inner lid 50 will be distinguished as a second lower passage 52, and the portion provided in the middle lid 90 will be distinguished as a second upper passage 92.
[0016] The lid body 40 has, as parts other than those mentioned above, a locking member 60 attached to the inner lid 50 and engaged with the container 31, a rubber packing 70 covering the periphery of the inner lid 50 to prevent steam and water leakage from the gap between the lid body 40 and the upper opening of the container 31, a first sealing plate 80 made of elastic resin that is sandwiched between the inner lid 50 and the middle lid 90 and covers the upper openings of the first lower passage 51 and the second lower passage 52, and a second sealing plate 110 made of elastic resin that is sandwiched between the middle lid 90 and the outer lid 120 and covers the upper openings of the first upper passage 91 and the second upper passage 92. The middle lid 90 and the inner lid 50 are fastened by a bolt 100 with the first sealing plate 80 sandwiched between them.
[0017] For ease of explanation, the vertical direction (thickness direction), front-rear direction (length direction), and left-right direction (width direction) of the lid body 40 are defined as follows. That is, the direction in which the inner lid 50, the middle lid 90, and the outer lid 120 constituting the lid body 40 are stacked is the vertical direction (thickness direction) of the lid body 40. The inner lid 50 side is the lower side of the lid body 40, and the outer lid 120 side of the lid body 40 is the upper side of the lid body 40. The front-rear center line of the lid body 40 is a line connecting the front end and the rear end of the lid body 40. In a plan view, the front end of the lid body 40 corresponds to the position of the base end side of the nozzle 32 of the container 31 when the upper opening of the container 31 is covered. The rear end of the lid body 40 corresponds to the attachment position of the base end of the handle 33 when the upper opening of the container 31 is covered. The direction parallel to this front-rear center line is the front-rear direction (length direction) of the lid body 40. The side of the container 31 where the nozzle 32 is provided is defined as the front of the lid body 40, and the side where the handle 33 is provided is defined as the rear of the lid body 40. The direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction and the up-down direction of the lid body 40 is defined as the left-right direction (width direction) of the lid body 40.
[0018] The components that make up the lid 40 will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5, the inner lid 50 has a dish-shaped inner lid body 59 that is open at the top. A first inlet 53 and a second inlet 54 are formed in the bottom plate of the inner lid body 59 that corresponds to the back side of the lid body 40. Typically, the first inlet 53 and the second inlet 54 are provided near the center of the length (front-to-back) of the lid body 40, at positions close to the outer edges on both the left and right sides of the front-to-back center line P.
[0019] 5, a first lower passage 51 and a second lower passage 52 which are independent of each other are formed on the upper surface of the inner lid body 59. As shown in Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, the first lower passage 51 and the second lower passage 52 are partitioned by a bottom plate of the inner lid body 59, a partition plate 58 provided vertically on the upper surface of the inner lid body 59, and a first sealing plate 80 laminated on the inner lid 50.
[0020] The first lower passage 51 is formed on the rear side of the inner lid body 59. One end of the first lower passage 51 is connected to the first inlet 53, and the other end is connected to the first upper passage 91. The first lower passage 51 is folded back twice with the front-rear center line P in between. Specifically, the first lower passage 51 has a first passage portion 51a extending from the first inlet 53 to the opposite side (the second inlet 54 side) across the front-rear center line P, a first bent portion 51b connected to an end of the first passage portion 51a and folded back inward in a U-shape, a second passage portion 51c connected to an end of the first bent portion 51b and extending to the first inlet 53 side across the front-rear center line P, a second bent portion 51d connected to an end of the second passage portion 51c and folded back inward in a U-shape, and a third passage portion 51e connected to an end of the second bent portion 51d and reaching the width center of the lid body 40. The third passage portion 51e is in communication with the first upper passage 91 via the first passage port 81.
[0021] Typically, the first passage portion 51a, the second passage portion 51c, and the third passage portion 51e are formed in straight lines parallel to the left-right direction of the lid body 40. In addition, with respect to the left-right direction of the lid body 40, the folding back position of the first bent portion 52b is formed to be on the outer edge side of the innermost position of the second introduction port 54.
[0022] The second lower passage 52 is formed on the front side of the inner lid body 59. One end of the second lower passage 52 is connected to the second inlet 54, and the other end is connected to the second upper passage 92. The second lower passage 52 is folded back twice with the front-rear center line P in between. Specifically, the second lower passage 52 has a first passage portion 52a extending from the second introduction port 54 to the opposite side (the first introduction port 53 side) across the front-rear center line P, a first bent portion 52b connected to an end of the first passage portion 52a and folded back inward in a U-shape, a second passage portion 52c connected to an end of the first bent portion 52b and extending to the second introduction port 54 side across the front-rear center line P, a second bent portion 52d connected to an end of the second passage portion 52c and folded back inward in a U-shape, and a third passage portion 52e connected to an end of the second bent portion 52d and reaching the width center of the lid body 40. The third passage portion 52e is in communication with the second upper passage 92 via the second passage port 82.
[0023] Typically, the first passage portion 52a, the second passage portion 52c, and the third passage portion 52e are formed in a straight line parallel to the left-right direction of the lid body 40. In addition, with respect to the left-right direction of the lid body 40, the folding back position of the first bent portion 52b is formed to be on the outer edge side of the innermost position of the first introduction port 53.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 6, the first sealing plate 80 has a first plate body 89 having a size that covers the upper openings of the first lower passage 51 and the second lower passage 52. A first passage opening 81 and a second passage opening 82 are formed in the center of the first plate body 89 for passing the water vapor that has passed through the first lower passage 51 and the second lower passage 52 through the inner lid 90. The first passage opening 81 is provided at a position corresponding to the end position of the third passage portion 51e of the first lower passage 51, and the second passage opening 82 is provided at a position corresponding to the end position of the third passage portion 52e of the second lower passage 52. By providing the first passage opening 81 and the second passage opening 82 close to each other in the center of the lid body 40, it is easy to form the first upper passage 91 and the second upper passage 92 in the inner lid 90.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 7, the inner lid 90 has a substantially disk-shaped inner lid body 99 and a bracket 98 that is detachably attached to the container 31. The inner lid body 99 is formed with a discharge port 93, a first upper passage 91, and a second upper passage 92. The discharge port 93 is provided on the front side surface of the inner lid body 99. The first upper passage 91 has one end connected to the first passage port 81 and the other end connected to the discharge port 93. The second upper passage 92 has one end connected to the second passage port 82 and the other end connected to the discharge port 93. As shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, in this embodiment, a portion from the front position to the center position of the inner lid body 99 is cut out in a straight line, and the first upper passage 91, the second upper passage 92, and the discharge port 93 are defined by the bottom plate of the inner lid body 99, the side edge surface of the cutout portion of the inner lid body 99, and the second sealing plate 110 laminated on the inner lid 90.
[0026] The user opens the lid 40 of the kettle body 30 and pours water inside. The lid 40 is closed to engage the locking member 60 with the container 31. Next, the kettle body 30 is attached to the power supply stand 20 and power is applied. A heater provided inside the container 31 heats the water stored in the container 31 until it reaches a set temperature. The user removes the kettle body 30 from the power supply stand 20 and pours the hot water stored in the container 31 into a cup or the like by tilting the extraction outlet at the tip of the nozzle 32 downward.
[0027] As shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, while the water stored in the container 31 is being heated, the steam generated inside the container 31 is introduced into the inside of the lid body 40 from the first inlet 53 and the second inlet 54 provided on the back side of the lid body 40. The steam Sa introduced into the inside of the lid body 40 from the first inlet 53 passes through the first lower passage 51, the first passage port 81, and the first upper passage 91, and is discharged to the outside of the lid body 40 from the outlet 93 provided at the front position of the lid body 40. Similarly, the steam Sb introduced into the inside of the lid body 40 from the second inlet 54 provided on the back side of the lid body 40 passes through the second lower passage 52, the second passage port 82, and the second upper passage 92, and is discharged to the outside of the lid body 40 from the outlet 93 provided at the front position of the lid body 40.
[0028] Since the handle 33 is provided on the rear side of the lid body 40 and the nozzle 32 extends from the container 31 on the front side of the lid body 40, the user does not approach the front side of the lid body 40 or place his / her hand over it. In this way, providing the exhaust outlet 93 at the front position of the lid body 40 reduces the possibility of the user being burned by the steam exhausted from the exhaust outlet 93 of the lid body 40, and contributes to improving the safety of the electric kettle 10.
[0029] In the electric kettle 10 according to this embodiment, since the nozzle 32 is attached to the lower part of the container 31, if a certain amount of water is stored, water vapor will not be discharged from the nozzle 32. As described above, the electric kettle 10 has two steam passages (first and second passages) in the lid 40, so that water vapor generated inside the container 31 is discharged to the outside of the lid 40 via the two steam passages described above, but even if the amount of water vapor generated due to boiling increases, a sufficient amount of discharge can be ensured and the pressure inside the container 31 can be released because two steam passages are provided.
[0030] The water leakage prevention function of the kettle body 30 will be described with reference to Figs. 10 to 13. This water leakage prevention function mainly functions when the kettle body 30 falls over. Fig. 10 shows the kettle body 30 when it falls over. Fig. 11 shows the state inside the lid body 40 when the kettle body 30 falls over as shown in Fig. 10. Here, a case where the kettle body 30 falls over in a direction such that the first inlet 53 is located lower than the second inlet 54 will be described as an example, but the same applies when the kettle body 30 falls over in the opposite direction, with only the first inlet 53 and the second inlet 54 being swapped.
[0031] A nozzle 32 is provided at the front of kettle body 30, and a handle 33 is provided at the rear, and the center of gravity of kettle body 30 is on the handle 33 side rearward of the central axis of container 31. Therefore, kettle body 30 falls in a position in which the handle 33 side is lower than the nozzle 32 side, as shown in Figure 10. In this position, the spout at the tip of nozzle 32 faces diagonally upward, so that the water (hot water) contained in kettle body 30 does not leak from the spout at the tip of nozzle 32.
[0032] As shown in FIG. 10, when the water level L in the container 31 is higher than the height of the first inlet 53 and lower than the height of the second inlet 54 when the kettle body 30 is overturned, the water stored in the container 31 enters the inside of the lid body 40 from the first inlet 53. However, as shown in FIG. 11, the partition plate 58 on the inside of the first bent portion 51b of the first lower passage 51 functions as a dike, so that the water does not enter beyond the first bent portion 51b, and the water inside the container 31 does not reach the outlet 93. Of course, immediately after the kettle body 30 is overturned, the water stored in the container 31 may sway and a small amount of water may enter the second passage portion 51c. However, the second bent portion 51d functions as a temporary water storage portion, and the water that has entered the second passage portion 51c is stored in the second bent portion 51d and does not enter further, and does not reach the outlet 93. In this way, by folding the first lower passage 51 twice in opposite directions around the front-to-rear center line P, it is possible to flexibly respond to the shaking of the water inside the container 31 immediately after it is tipped over, and to prevent water from leaking out of the drain outlet 93.
[0033] In this embodiment, the first lower passage 51 is folded twice in opposite directions across the front-rear center line P, but it may be folded three or more times. Of course, even if the first lower passage 51 is folded only once, water is less likely to penetrate beyond the first bent portion 51b, so that water is prevented from leaking from the drain port 93 or the amount of water leaking from the drain port 93 is reduced.
[0034] Furthermore, even if the kettle body 30 is returned to its original position after it has been tipped over, there is a possibility that the water that entered the first lower passage 51 of the lid body 40 when it was tipped over will remain in the first lower passage 51. However, by making the first passage a two-layer structure, even if the kettle body 30 is tilted after it has been tipped over, the water remaining in the first lower passage 51 will not enter the first upper passage 91, and therefore water will not leak from the outlet 93 when the kettle body 30 is being used after it has been tipped over.
[0035] The water vapor inside the container 31 is introduced into the inside of the lid 40 from the second inlet 54, and continues to be discharged to the outside through the second lower passage 52, the second passage port 82, the second upper passage 92, and the discharge port 93. This makes it possible to suppress an increase in the internal pressure of the container 31 due to water vapor generated inside the container 31, and prevents water from spouting out from the spout at the tip of the nozzle 32.
[0036] In this embodiment, the first and second passages of the two systems provided in the lid 40 are configured in a two-layer structure, and the first layer is made to meander. This ensures the maximum passage length in a limited space. When the kettle body 30 falls over while the temperature and internal pressure of the hot water inside the container 31 are high, the hot water inside the container 31 vigorously enters the first passage (second passage) in the short time until the pressure inside the container 31 is released. By lengthening the passage length of the first passage (second passage) as described above, the time until the hot water inside the container 31 passes through the first passage and reaches the outlet 93 can be lengthened, and the hot water inside the container 31 can be prevented from leaking to the outside or the amount of leakage can be reduced in the short time until the pressure inside the container 31 is released.
[0037] The kettle body 30 may tip over in a position in which the nozzle 32 side is lower than the handle 33 side, as shown in Fig. 12. However, because the center of gravity of the kettle body 30 is on the handle 33 side, rearward of the central axis of the container 31, and the container 31 has a general cylindrical shape, even if the kettle body 30 tips over in the position shown in Fig. 12, the kettle body 30 will immediately roll and come to a stop in the position shown in Fig. 10. For this reason, the spout at the tip of the nozzle 32 only faces downward for a short period of time, and the amount of water leaking from the spout at the tip of the nozzle 32 can be kept to a minimum, even if the kettle body 30 tips over in the position shown in Fig. 12.
[0038] In this way, with the electric kettle 10 of this embodiment, the internal pressure of the kettle body 30 can be released during boiling, and even if the kettle body 30 is tipped over, the amount of water (hot water) leaking from the spout at the tip of the nozzle 32 and the steam outlet 93 can be minimized.
[0039] In this embodiment, two passages are provided in the lid 40, but three or more passages may be provided.
[0040] The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and various modifications can be made in the implementation stage without departing from the gist of the invention. In addition, the embodiments may be implemented in appropriate combination, and in that case, the combined effect can be obtained. Furthermore, the above-mentioned embodiment includes various inventions, and various inventions can be extracted by combinations selected from the multiple components disclosed. For example, if the problem can be solved and the effect can be obtained even if some components are deleted from all the components shown in the embodiment, the configuration from which the components are deleted can be extracted as an invention.
