AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing vehicle alarm systems, such as backlights and back buzzers, are insufficient in noisy or dimly lit environments, leading to increased contact accidents at construction sites, and modifying these systems for compatibility is time-consuming and difficult for infrequent site visitors.

Method used

A detachable alarm device with a sensor and transmitter, powered by a battery, that amplifies lighting and sound signals from existing vehicle systems, allowing easy installation and adjustment to suit construction site conditions.

Benefits of technology

The alarm device effectively prevents collisions by enhancing lighting and sound alerts, ensuring visibility and audibility, even in challenging environments, without requiring permanent modifications to vehicles.

Abstract

To provide an alarm device which is easily attached to all entering vehicles regardless of a high or low entry frequency to a construction site, and which is capable of increasing the illumination intensity of a lighting unit mounted in advance to the vehicles respectively and capable of increasing the sound volume of a sound production unit.SOLUTION: An alarm device 80 comprises a sensor 60 and an alarm unit 50. The sensor 60 can be freely attached to and removed from an adjacent position of a lighting unit or a sound production unit mounted to a vehicle. The alarm unit 50 comprises: a receiving unit 24 for receiving a detection signal transmitted from the sensor 60; transmitting units 20, 30 for transmitting alarm light and / or alarm sound when the receiving unit 24 receives a detection signal; and battery power source units 16a, 16b. The alarm device can be freely attached to and removed from a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
