Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an agent for improving foam adhesion in a foamable composition, a foamable composition, and a method for improving foam adhesion in a foamable composition. [Background technology]
[0002] In residential environments such as bathrooms and toilets, cleaning agents are often applied to objects using a sprayer such as a trigger sprayer, and then the objects are scrubbed with a flexible material such as a sponge. However, scrubbing requires a lot of effort and places a heavy burden on housework, so it is preferable to reduce the burden of scrubbing as much as possible. For this purpose, it is considered effective to increase the cleaning power by allowing the composition to adhere to the object for a long time, thereby reducing the burden of scrubbing.
[0003] Patent Document 1 proposes a method of applying a foam-like detergent to tableware and rinsing it without scrubbing. The publication also discloses a composition containing a sulfosuccinate surfactant as an anionic surfactant. Patent Document 2 describes that sulfosuccinic acid surfactants having a specific branched chain hydrocarbon group are effective as surfactants that have excellent cleaning effects on oily stains containing solid fats. Patent Document 3 describes that dipropylheptyl sulfosuccinic acid is effective as a surfactant. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2016-198765 A [Patent Document 2] JP 2017-214554 A [Patent Document 3] U.S. Patent Publication No. 2007-214999 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, these patent documents do not suggest or even suggest the effect of a sulfosuccinate ester surfactant having a specific structure on improving the adhesiveness of foam of a foamable composition containing the surfactant.
[0006] The present invention provides a foam adhesion improver that improves the foam adhesion of a foamable composition containing a surfactant to an object, a foamable composition having excellent foam adhesion to an object, and a method for improving the foam adhesion of a foamable composition. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] The present invention relates to a foam adhesion improver for a foamable composition containing a surfactant other than component (a), which is composed of (a) a branched alkyl sulfosuccinate ester [hereinafter referred to as component (a)], the branched alkyl group of which is a branched alkyl group having from 9 to 11 carbon atoms. Here, the foam adhesion improver for a foamable composition is an agent that improves the adhesion of foam formed from the foamable composition to a target object.
[0008] The present invention also relates to a foamable composition containing the foam adhesion improver and (b) a surfactant (excluding component (a) [hereinafter referred to as component (b)].
[0009] The present invention also relates to a method for improving the foam adhesion of a foamable composition, which comprises adhering a foamable composition containing (a) a branched alkyl sulfosuccinate ester [hereinafter referred to as component (a)], in which the branched alkyl group is a branched alkyl group having from 9 to 11 carbon atoms, and (b) a surfactant [excluding component (a)] [hereinafter referred to as component (b)] in the form of a foam to an object using a sprayer having a foam forming mechanism. Effect of the Invention
[0010] According to the present invention, there are provided a foam adhesion improver that improves the foam adhesion of a foamable composition containing a surfactant to an object, a foamable composition having excellent foam adhesion to an object, and a method for improving the foam adhesion of a foamable composition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0011] The reason why the foam adhesion improver of the present invention improves the foam adhesion of a surfactant-containing foamable composition to an object is not entirely clear, but is presumed to be as follows. Bubbles are formed when surfactants are arranged at the air-water interface, stabilizing the gas-liquid interface. Also, at the gas-liquid-solid interface where bubbles come into contact with a solid surface, the surfactants are adsorbed onto the solid surface, causing the bubbles to adhere to the solid surface. On the other hand, at the interface where bubbles come into contact with a solid surface, the drainage of water from the bubbles is promoted, which is thought to result in fluidization of the gas-liquid and solid interfaces and reduce the adhesiveness of the bubbles. The reason why the foam adhesion is improved by the present invention is not necessarily clear, but it is believed that the presence of a compound having an alkyl group with a specific branched structure of the (a) component in the hydrophobic film of the surfactant other than the (a) component in the foam causes the compound of the (a) component, which is moderately flexible and has a relatively low crystallinity, to repair the hydrophobic film before the relatively highly crystalline hydrophobic film is destroyed and the foam breaks, thereby suppressing the foam breakage, and as a result, suppressing drainage from within the foam film. The (a) component is considered to be a component that reduces the packing property of the hydrophobic film formed by the components other than the (a) component due to its structure, so the effect of the present invention is unexpected for those skilled in the art.
[0012] <Foam adhesion improver> The present invention provides a foam adhesion improver for a foamable composition, which comprises component (a) and contains a surfactant other than component (a). The component (a) is a branched alkyl sulfosuccinate ester in which the branched alkyl group has 9 to 11 carbon atoms.
[0013] The component (a) may be a monoester or a diester, and is preferably a branched alkyl sulfosuccinate diester in which the branched alkyl group has 9 to 11 carbon atoms.
[0014] From the viewpoint of cleaning properties for solid greases and the like and foam adhesion properties, the branched alkyl group of component (a) is preferably a branched alkyl group having a main chain of 6 or 7 carbon atoms and one or more side chains, the total number of carbon atoms in the side chains being 3 or 4. From the viewpoint of cleaning properties for solid grease and the like and foam adhesion, the branched alkyl group of the component (a) is preferably a branched alkyl group selected from a 2-propylheptyl group and a 3,5,5-trimethylhexyl group.
[0015] Examples of the component (a) include branched sulfosuccinic acid esters represented by the following general formula (a1).
[0016] [ka]
[0017] [In the formula, R 1a , R 2a are each independently a branched alkyl group having 9 to 11 carbon atoms. 1 , A 2 are each independently an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and x and y are each independently the average number of moles added, and are each independently 0 to 6. 1 is a hydrogen atom or a cation.
[0018] R 1a , R 2a may be the same or different. In the present invention, the branched chain hydrocarbon group includes a hydrocarbon residue obtained by removing a hydroxyl group from a secondary alcohol.
[0019] In the present invention, R 1a , R 2aAmong the branched chain hydrocarbon groups, the hydrocarbon chain having the largest number of carbon atoms counted from the carbon atom bonded to the oxygen atom is the main chain, and the hydrocarbon chains branched from the main chain and bonded to the main chain are side chains. When two or more main chains are considered, that is, when there are two or more hydrocarbon chains with the largest number of carbon atoms (hereinafter also referred to as the longest hydrocarbon chain), the main chain is determined in the following order. 1. The side chain branching off from the longest hydrocarbon chain has the larger number of carbon atoms and is considered the main chain. 2. Next, if the number of carbon atoms in the side chains branching off from the longest hydrocarbon chain are the same, the chain with the greater number of side chains branching off from the longest hydrocarbon chain is determined to be the main chain. 3. Next, if the number of side chains branching off from the longest hydrocarbon chain is the same, the one having a side chain on the carbon atom closer to the oxygen atom, counting from the carbon atom bonded to the oxygen atom, is considered to be the main chain. 4. Next, if the positions of the carbon atoms having side chains closest to the oxygen atom are the same, the one with the greater number of carbon atoms in the side chain closest to the oxygen atom is considered to be the main chain. When two or more longest hydrocarbon chains have the same symmetrical structure, either one may be used as the main chain.
[0020] R 1a , R 2a In each of the branched alkyl groups, the total number of carbon atoms constituting the side chains may be the same or different, and is preferably 3 or 4 from the viewpoint of foam adhesion. In the present invention, the total number of carbon atoms constituting the side chains refers to the total number of carbon atoms in all side chains other than the main chain in one branched alkyl group, and when there are multiple side chains, it refers to the total number of carbon atoms in all of those side chains.
[0021] R 1a , R 2a The number of side chains may be the same or different, and from the viewpoints of storage stability and foam adhesion at low temperatures, is 1 or more, and preferably 3 or less, more preferably 2 or less. In the present invention, the number of side chains refers to the number of side chains branching from the main chain, and the number of side chains does not change even if the side chain has a side chain branching from the side chain. However, from the viewpoint of storage stability at low temperatures, the side chain may have a side chain branching from the side chain.
[0022] R 1a , R 2a The number of branched carbons may be the same or different, and from the viewpoint of bubble adhesion, is 1 or more, and preferably 3 or less, and even more preferably 2 or less. In the present invention, the number of branched carbon atoms means the total number of tertiary carbon atoms and quaternary carbon atoms in the branched chain hydrocarbon group.

[0054] <Method for improving foam adhesion of foamable composition> The present invention provides a method for improving foam adhesion of a foamable composition, comprising depositing a foamable composition containing components (a) and (b) in the form of a foam on an object using a sprayer having a foam-forming mechanism. In the method of the present invention, the foamable composition containing the components (a) and (b) may be the foamable composition of the present invention. This makes it suitable for cleaning areas that are difficult to reach with hands or tools, or small areas that are difficult to reach. Leaving without applying external forces such as mechanical forces means, for example, that no intentional operation for cleaning is performed other than contacting the composition. For example, the contacted composition naturally flows down the target surface, and vibrations not intended for cleaning are transmitted to the target surface can be understood as being left without applying external forces. After leaving it for a while, it is usually rinsed with water. When rinsing, external force (physical force) may be applied with hands, or simply rinsed with running water.

[0057] In the method of the present invention, from the viewpoint of cleaning performance, the foamable composition of the present invention is allowed to stand after contacting the target surface for preferably 10 seconds or more, more preferably 15 seconds or more, even more preferably 20 seconds or more, even more preferably 30 seconds or more, and preferably 30 minutes or less, more preferably 10 minutes or less, even more preferably 5 minutes or less, even more preferably 2 minutes or less, even more preferably 1 minute or less. In this case, the time when the composition first comes into contact with the target surface may be regarded as the start of the standing. The temperature during standing may be room temperature, for example, 10°C or higher and 30°C or lower.
[0058] In the method of the present invention, the foamable composition of the present invention is sprayed onto an object using a sprayer having a foam forming mechanism to adhere to the object in the form of a foam. Specifically, a spray means can be used. That is, it is preferable to use a cleaning agent article in which the foamable composition of the present invention is filled in a container equipped with a sprayer. The present invention provides a cleaning agent article in a spray container in which the foamable composition of the present invention is filled in a container equipped with a sprayer.
[0059] In the spray-container-packed cleaning agent article of the present invention, the container equipped with a sprayer filled with the foamable composition of the present invention can be a manual spray device that does not use a propellant, such as a trigger-type spray container or a pump-type spray container, or an aerosol that uses a propellant, etc. The container equipped with the sprayer is preferably a trigger-type spray that can spray or apply the contents in a foam form, and more preferably a trigger-type spray equipped with a mechanism for forming foam (foam-forming mechanism).
[0060] When using a trigger-type spray equipped with a foam-forming mechanism, the cleaning article in a spray container of the present invention sprays, in one operation, preferably 0.5 mL or more, more preferably 1 mL or more, and preferably 30 mL or less, more preferably 15 mL or less, and even more preferably 5 mL or less of the composition.
[0061] The foam to be applied to an object in the present invention has a foam specific volume (foam volume (ml) per unit mass (g)) of 5 ml / g or more, preferably 10 ml / g or more, and 100 ml / g or less, preferably 70 ml / g or less. When the foam is applied by a trigger spray in the present invention, the foam specific volume (ml / g) is 5 ml / g or more, preferably 10 ml / g or more, and 100 ml / g or less, preferably 70 ml / g or less, more preferably 60 ml / g or less, more preferably 55 ml / g or less, more preferably 50 ml / g or less.
[0062] The specific foam volume can be determined by the following method. (1) The foaming composition to be measured is filled into the trigger sprayer to be used. (2) Measure the mass (g) of a plastic 200 ml measuring cylinder with an inner diameter of 3.5 mm using a double-digit balance (a). (3) The foamable composition is sprayed from the sprayer into a 200 ml measuring cylinder by pulling the trigger five times, and 10 seconds after the spray, the weights (g) of the 200 ml measuring cylinder and the foam are measured using a two-digit balance (b), and the volume (ml) of the foam in the measuring cylinder is measured (c). (4) Calculate the foam specific volume using the following formula. Foam specific volume (ml / g)=(c) / {(b)-(a)}
[0063] For such a foam specific volume, a foaming discharge container is suitable, which is provided with a foaming cylinder attached to a discharge nozzle, and the liquid content discharged from the nozzle hole by the discharge operation of the discharger is collided with the inner wall surface of the foaming cylinder and discharged in a foamed state. For the detailed structure, the one described in JP-A-2007-167719 can be referred to. Here, by adjusting the amount of air entering from the air introduction hole constituting the foaming cylinder, the amount of air mixed with the surfactant can be adjusted, and the foam specific volume at the time of foam application can be adjusted. That is, by increasing the amount of air introduced into the foamable composition, a foam with a large foam specific volume can be obtained.
[0064] The method of the present invention is preferable as a method for cleaning hard surfaces of hard articles, further hard surfaces such as tableware, bathrooms, bathtubs, washbowls, tiles, restrooms, washstands, mirrors, kitchen sinks, countertops, and water areas, particularly hard surfaces in bathrooms. The method of the present invention can be suitably carried out on a hydrophobic hard surface. A hydrophobic hard surface is a hard surface material having a contact angle with water of 30° or more, preferably 40° or more, and 120° or less, preferably 100° or less. Examples of hard surface materials having a contact angle with water in the above range include one or more selected from polyester resin, acrylic resin, soft PVC resin, FRP resin, ABS resin, PP resin, PC resin, SUS, aluminum, and PET resin. EXAMPLES
[0065] <Bubble adhesion test> A container of a commercially available spray-type dishwashing detergent (Kao Corporation, Kyukyutto Clear Foam Spray (manufactured in 2018)) was washed and used. The container was filled with the foaming composition in Tables 1 and 2. The trigger of the container was pulled once from a height of 15 cm vertically onto a horizontally placed substrate (acrylic plate test piece, 180 mm x 320 mm), to discharge foam. One end of the substrate was raised at 45° from the horizontal position, and the time until the discharged foam fell 15 cm on the substrate was measured, which was the result of the foam adhesion test. It can be said that the longer the time until the foam fell, the better the foam adhesion to the substrate. The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2. In addition, in Tables 1 and 2, the difference δt (seconds) in the foaming composition from the standard composition that does not contain the (a) and (a') components and contains the (b) component is also shown for each foaming composition. The foam specific volumes of the foams formed in the present examples were all within the range of 10 ml / g to 50 ml / g. The foam specific volumes were measured by the method described in paragraph 0062 of this specification.
