This invention relates to a dispersant, its preparation method, and its application. The dispersant provided by this invention is based on acetylacetonate
diol, which undergoes hydrogenation,
ethoxylation, polyesterification, and
phosphorylation to form an innovative twin-type dispersant. By adjusting the length of the polyether and
polyester in the dispersant, this invention can effectively improve the compatibility between various components in coatings or battery slurries, thereby reducing
viscosity and improving
slurry stability. Specifically, for battery slurries, the dispersant prepared by this invention can prevent the agglomeration of positive and negative
electrode active materials and conductive agents in the
slurry through steric hindrance, thus improving the fluidity of the battery
slurry, improving the slurry gelation, and enhancing
viscosity stability. Therefore, it can achieve a lower
viscosity at a higher solids content.
