The boron-containing polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester surfactant is prepared as follows: polyethylene glycol (PEG), boric acid and fatty acid are used as raw materials, first esterification reaction of the PEG and the boric acid is performed, then esterification reaction of the PEG and the fatty acid is performed to obtain boron-containing poly ethylene glycol fatty acid ester; by changing the species of fatty acids and catalysts and molecular weight of the PEG, the esterification rate can be enhanced, the boron-containing poly ethylene glycol fatty acid ester product can be used as a surfactant, and the boron-containing poly ethylene glycol fatty acid ester can reduce water surface tension and has good emulsifying properties.
