3439 results about "SOAP" patented technology

SOAP (abbreviation for Simple Object Access Protocol) is a messaging protocol specification for exchanging structured information in the implementation of web services in computer networks. Its purpose is to provide extensibility, neutrality and independence. It uses XML Information Set for its message format, and relies on application layer protocols, most often Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), for message negotiation and transmission.

Method for electronic commerce using security token and apparatus thereof

A method for electronic commerce using a security token and an apparatus thereof are provided. The electronic commerce method using a security token comprises a transaction approval institution generating a security token based on a security assertion markup language (SAML), using credit information of a purchaser who requests to issue a security token, and transmitting the security token to the purchaser; the purchaser writing an electronic signature on an order and transmitting the order together with the security token to a seller; the seller verifying the received order and security token, and then delivering goods according to the order to the purchaser; and the transaction approval institution performing payment for the seller and the purchaser. The method can solve the problems of personal information leakage and privacy infringement that may happen when a purchaser sends his personal information to a seller for electronic commerce. Since the token is one-time-use data, even if a security token sent is counterfeited or stolen, the loss can be minimized. In addition, by writing an extensible markup language (XML) electronic signature in the security token, authentication, integrity, and non-repudiation for a transmitted message can be guaranteed and through simple object access protocol (SOAP) security technology, confidentiality is maintained.

Distributed storage and parallel mining method for state monitoring data

A distributed storage and parallel mining method for state monitoring data includes the steps: defining function service models of a remote substation state monitoring unit and a state monitoring communication front-end processor by means of Web service description language, and exchanging the state monitoring data of electric power equipment in an electric power wide area network environment by a simple object access protocol; storing large-scale state monitoring data redundancy in a distributed file system, creating an index table for a state monitoring data file, inserting the index table into a large-scale structural data table and querying the state monitoring data according to a query request; and generating basic data and multi-dimensional analytical data by extracting, converting and loading to built a data warehouse, and parallelly executing association rules, classification and clustered data mining algorithm by means of MapReduce task decomposition and result summary. The distributed storage and parallel mining method can be used for effectively realizing distributed data exchange, redundant storage and rapid parallel processing for state monitoring information of the mass electric power equipment in an intelligent power network environment.

Building temperature control appliance recieving real time weather forecast data and method

The invention is a web enabled building temperature control appliance that receives data from the national weather service or from any other suitable source. This data consists of current temperature and pressure as well as forecasted temperature fluctuations. The building temperature control appliance would have a constant request / response process by using a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) to gain access to the National Digital Forecast Database or other such weather forecast database. The building temperature control appliance would not turn on if the forecasted weather was within a zone of comfort chosen by the users. The zone of comfort is the band of temperature within which a person feels comfortable. This band of temperature is usually between 66 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Rather than having the heat turn on in the morning to heat the home to a set temperature the building temperature control appliance would allow the sun and the ambient outside air heat the home. In areas where the nights are cold and days are hot the building temperature control appliance would not heat the home in the morning when the forecast was for temperature hotter than the zone of comfort. There are many similar scenarios where the building temperature control appliance would act differently than a commonly known thermostat based upon information about the forecasted weather.
