[0016] Hereinafter, the common search space (CSS) monitoring method and terminal provided in the embodiments of the present application will be described in detail with reference to the drawings through specific embodiments and application scenarios.

[0017] As shown in FIG. 2, an embodiment of the present application provides a CSS monitoring method 200, which can be performed by a terminal, in other words, the method can be performed by software or hardware installed in the terminal, and the method includes the following steps:

[0018] At S202, the terminal monitors Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) candidates in a CSS set, and the terminal uses the same first information as an anchor node or uses the same first information as a cell or a transmission / reception point associated with the CSS set.

[0019] S202 is applicable to mobility scenarios, such as cell switching, inter-cell MTRP switching, intra-cell MTRP switching, and the like.

[0020] Optionally, the first information may include at least one of cell configuration information, related configuration information of a CSS set, beam information, a default beam, a reference signal for path loss calculation reference, timing related information, scrambling information, and a Radio Network Temporary Identity (RNTI).

[0021] Regarding the terminal mentioned in the embodiment using the same first information as the anchor node, for example, when the first information is a default beam, the terminal uses the default beam of the anchor node to monitor PDCCH candidates in the CSS set, and for example, when the first information is cell setting information, the terminal uses the cell setting information of the anchor node to monitor PDCCH candidates in the CSS set.

[0022] Using the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the CSS set mentioned in the embodiment includes, for example, monitoring PDCCH candidates in the CSS set using the same first information as the TRP / cell depending on which TRP / cell the CSS set is associated with / belongs to. For example, the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the CSS set using a default beam of the cell / TRP associated with the CSS set. Also, for example, the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the CSS set using timing-related information of the cell / TRP associated with the CSS set.

[0023] Regarding which TRP / cell the CSS set mentioned in the embodiment is associated with / belongs to, for example, depending on which TRP / cell the CSS set is configured by, the CSS set may be associated with / belong to the TRP / cell that provides the configuration, or depending on which TRP's control resource set resource pool index (CORESETPoolIndex) / TRP identifier (ID) is configured in the CSS set, or which cell's physical cell identifier (Physical Cell Identifier, PCI), other cell identifier information or associated information, etc. is configured in the CSS set, the CSS set may be associated with / belong to the TRP / cell corresponding to the CORESETPoolIndex / TRP identifier, PCI.

[0024] In an embodiment of the present application, the terminal can monitor PDCCH candidates in the CSS set by using the same first information as the anchor node or the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the CSS set, thereby avoiding problems such as transmission parameter inconsistency and improving communication effectiveness.

[0025] Alternatively, using the same first information as the anchor node mentioned in embodiment 200 or using the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the CSS set may include at least one of the following 1) to 5).

[0026] 1) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type 0-PDCCH CSS set, the terminal uses the same first information as the anchor node. In this example, the terminal is available for receiving System Information Block 1 (SIB1) by monitoring PDCCH candidates in the Type 0-PDCCH CSS set. Specifically, for example, the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type0-PDCCH CSS set using the default beam of the anchor node.

[0027] 2) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type0A-PDCCH CSS set, the terminal uses the same first information as the anchor node. In this example, the terminal may monitor PDCCH candidates in the Type0A-PDCCH CSS set to receive other system information blocks (SIBs), which may be SIBs other than SIB1.

[0028] 3) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type1-PDCCH CSS set, the terminal uses the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the Type1-PDCCH CSS set. In this example, the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type1-PDCCH CSS set, which can be used to receive random access (RA) information 2 (msg2) and information 4 (msg4) scheduled by the network side device, and can also be used to receive random access information B (msgB) scheduled by the network side device.

[0029] 4) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type2-PDCCH CSS set, the terminal uses the same first information as the anchor node or uses the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the Type2-PDCCH CSS set. In this example, the terminal can use the PDCCH candidates in the Type2-PDCCH CSS set to receive a paging message (Paging).

[0030] 5) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the Type 3-PDCCH CSS set, the terminal uses the same first information as the cell / TRP associated with the Type 3-PDCCH CSS set. In this example, the terminal can use the PDCCH candidates in the Type3-PDCCH CSS set to realize many functions, which can be distinguished by different scrambling information, such as a pre-emption indication radio network temporary identifier (Indication pre-emption-RNTI, INT-RNTI), a slot format indication radio network temporary identifier (SFI-RNTI), a transmit power control physical uplink shared channel radio network temporary identifier (TPC-PUSCH-RNTI), a transmit power control physical uplink control channel radio network temporary identifier (TPC-PUCCH-RNTI), a transmit power control sounding reference signal radio network temporary identifier (TPC-SRS-RNTI), a cancellation indication radio network temporary identifier (Cancellation indication-RNTI, CI-RNTI), and a persistent scheduling radio network temporary identifier (PS-RNTI).

[0031] Optionally, the first information mentioned in each of the above embodiments is used in at least one of the following cases or scenes 1) and 2). 1) When the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the CSS set, i.e., when performing S202, for example, when the terminal monitors PDCCH candidates in the CSS set in a downlink bandwidth part (BWP), the terminal uses the first information. 2) When the terminal transmits a target channel or signal scheduled / associated with downlink control information (DCI) monitored in the PDCCH candidate. For example, when the terminal transmits a target channel or signal, the terminal uses the first information.

[0032] The target channel or signal may include one of a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH), a Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS), a Synchronization Signal and PBCH block (SSB), a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS), and a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH).

[0033] Optionally, in each of the above embodiments, when the terminal uses the same first information as a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set, the terminal does not use the first information of a cell / TRP not associated with the CSS set.

[0034] In one example, the first information includes a Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI), where a reference signal indicated by a TCI identifier of the CSS set belongs to a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set, and a reference signal indicated by a TCI identifier of the CSS set does not belong to a cell / TRP not associated with the CSS set. For example, a network configures two sets of TCI lists, and there are overlapping TCI identifiers in the two sets of TCI lists, where TCI list 1 is for cell 1 and TCI list 2 is for cell 2, so that when the CSS set uses the same first information as cell 1, the TCI identifier of the CSS set corresponds to the pseudo-collocation information or reference signal corresponding to the corresponding TCI identifier in TCI list 1, and when the CSS set uses the same first information as cell 2, the TCI identifier of the CSS set corresponds to the pseudo-collocation information or reference signal corresponding to the corresponding TCI identifier in TCI list 2.

[0035] Optionally, the reference signal indicated by the TCI identifier of the CSS set includes at least one of a reference signal in quasi-collocation information in a TCI identifier configured by the network of the associated CORESET of the CSS set by a Radio Resource Control signaling / unit (Radio Resource Control, RRC) and activated by a Media Access Control - Control Element (MAC CE) and a reference signal in quasi-collocation information in a TCI identifier in information carried in a DCI monitored in the CSS set.

[0036] Specifically, for example, when the first information is a TCI, the network side device may set the same TCI identifier for multiple cells, and if the TCI identifier targets different Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) reference signals, the TCI identifier of the CSS set can target only the QCL reference signals of the associated cells / TRPs, and cannot target the QCL reference signals of unassociated cells / TRPs.

[0037] The first information mentioned in the above embodiment includes at least one of: 1) cell setting information, 2) related setting information of a CSS set, 3) beam information, 4) default beam, 5) reference signal for path loss calculation reference, 6) timing related information, 7) scrambling information, and 8) RNTI.

[0038] The contents of the first information will be described in detail below using several examples.

[0039] The cell configuration information mentioned in 1) above may include at least one of a cell group configuration (CellGroupConfig), a special cell configuration (SpCellConfig), a synchronous reconfiguration (ReconfigurationWithSync), a serving cell configuration (ServingCellConfig), a serving cell common configuration (ServingCellConfigCommon), etc.

[0040] The related configuration information of the CSS set mentioned in 2) above may include frequency domain information and time domain information. The frequency domain information is CORESET related configuration information, such as frequency domain resources, periodicity, control channel element resource element group mapping type (cce-REG-MappingType), precoding granularity, TCI, beam related information, etc. The time domain information is search space related configuration information, such as control resource set identifier (controlResourceSetId), monitoring slot periodicity and offset (monitoringSlotPeriodicityAndOffset), periodicity, monitoring symbols within slot (monitoringSymbolsWithinSlot), etc.

[0041] The beam information may be a TCI set by the network through the RRC, or may be a TCI set by the network through the RRC and activated by the MAC CE. The TCI includes QCL information in a TCI identifier, or a reference signal in the QCL information in a TCI identifier.

[0042] The beam information mentioned in 3) above will be explained below with some examples.

[0043] In one example, the first information includes beam information; a) When the network configures / activates / indicates a TCI for a downlink channel or signal scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the beam information is the TCI of a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set. For example, for a downlink (DL) signal or channel such as a PDCCH / Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) / Synchronization Signal and PBCH block (SSB) / Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) scheduled / associated to a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, when the network configures or activates or indicates a TCI, the beam information is the TCI of a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set, where the RS in the TCI refers to the RS in the TCI of a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set, since the IDs of the TCI / RS of different cells / TRPs may be the same.

[0044] b) When the network configures / activates / indicates TCI / space related information for an uplink channel or signal scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the beam information is the TCI / space related information of a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set. For example, when a network side device sets or activates or indicates TCI / space-related information for an uplink (UL) signal or channel such as a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) / Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) / Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) / Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the beam information is the TCI / space-related information of a cell / TRP associated with the CSS set. Here, the RS in the TCI / space-related information refers to the RS of the associated cell / TRP.

[0045] c) When the network configures / activates / indicates TCI / space related information, the RS in said TCI / space related information belongs to a cell / TRP associated with said CSS set. For example, when a network side device configures, activates, or indicates TCI / space related information for a DL, UL signal or channel scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the RS in the TCI / space related information must belong to a cell / TRP associated with a CSS set or must not belong to a cell / TRP not associated with the CSS set.

[0046] In another example, the first information includes a default beam, the default beam satisfying at least one of the following a) and b):

[0047] a) For a downlink channel or signal scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, when the network side equipment has not configured / activated / indicated a TCI, the default beam is the beam used by the downlink channel or signal. For example, for a PDCCH / PDSCH scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, when the network side equipment has not configured a TCI or has not activated a TCI or has not indicated a TCI, the default beam is the default beam used by the PDCCH / PDSCH.

[0048] b) For an uplink channel or signal scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, when the network side equipment has not configured / activated / indicated TCI / space-related information, the default beam is the beam used by the uplink channel or signal. For example, when the network side equipment does not configure TCI / space related information, does not activate TCI / space related information, or does not indicate TCI / space related information for a PUSCH / PUCCH / SRS / PRACH scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the default beam is the beam used by the PUSCH / PUCCH / SRS / PRACH.

[0049] For the default beam mentioned in each of the above examples, the reference signal associated with the default beam includes at least one of: a) a synchronization signal physical broadcast channel block (SSB) during cell initial access; b) a pseudo-co-location reference signal of a control resource set (CORESET) with the smallest number associated with an active bandwidth part (BWP); c) a pseudo-co-location reference signal of a CORESET with the smallest number associated with an active BWP corresponding to a TRP; d) a pseudo-co-location reference signal of a TCI with the smallest number associated with an active BWP; and e) a pseudo-co-location reference signal of an active TCI with the smallest number associated with an active BWP.

[0050] Optionally, when the network has not set any beam information and / or TCI information and / or CORESET, the default beam is derived from the SSB at the initial cell access.

[0051] Alternatively, if the network configures / provides a CORESET, the default beam is derived from the TCI / pseudo collocation information of the lowest numbered CORESET associated with the active BWP.

[0052] Alternatively, if the network configures / provides a CORESET and configures / activates multiple TRPs, the default beam is derived from the TCI / quasi-colocation information of the CORESET with the smallest number associated with an active BWP, and the active BWP corresponds to the TRP. The TRP identifier can be obtained by configuration in the CORESET, for example, the TRP identifier may be a CORESETPoolIndex in the CORESET, which indicates that the CORESET is associated / belongs to the TRP corresponding to the TRP identifier. The active BWP corresponds to a TRP may mean that the active BWP is the TRP associated / belongs to the CORESET.

[0053] Alternatively, if the network does not configure / provide a CORESET but does configure a TCI list, the default beam is derived from the lowest numbered TCI associated with the active BWP.

[0054] Alternatively, if the network does not configure / provide a CORESET but configures a TCI list and activates at least one TCI, the default beam is derived from the active TCI with the lowest number associated with the active BWP.

[0055] Optionally, the first information includes the default beam, the network activates the use of the default beam, and / or the terminal supports the use of the default beam.

[0056] Alternatively, the first information includes the default beam, and the step of the terminal monitoring PDCCH candidates in a CSS set includes a step of the terminal monitoring PDCCH candidates in a CSS set when the network has not configured / activated / indicated a TCI.

[0057] For example, for a PDSCH / PUSCH / PUCCH / SRS / PRACH scheduled / associated with a DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate, the network side device has not configured a TCI, or has not activated a TCI, or has not indicated a TCI.

[0058] Regarding the reference signal for path loss calculation reference mentioned in 5) above, optionally, the reference signal for path loss calculation reference (PathLoss reference RS, PL RS) is usually used by PUSCH / PUCCH / SRS / PRACH scheduled / associated with DCI monitored in the PDCCH candidate. Optionally, the PL RS includes a default PL RS when the network has not configured a PL RS for the corresponding channel or signal, and / or the network has activated the use of a default PL RS, and / or the network has not configured space-related information for the corresponding channel or signal. Optionally, the default PL RS is the same as the reference signal associated with a default beam, or adopts the same set or rules as the reference signal associated with a default beam.

[0059] Regarding the timing related information mentioned in 6) above, in uplink, the timing related information may be timing information, and in downlink, the timing related information may be timing advance information. Optionally, the timing information includes the difference between the timing information of the own cell / TRP and the adjacent cell / adjacent TRP, or the difference between the timing advance information.

[0060] Regarding the scrambling information mentioned in 7) above, optionally, the scrambling information includes at least one of: a physical downlink control channel demodulation reference signal scrambling identifier pdcch-DMRS-ScramblingID; a scrambling identifier ScramblingId; a data scrambling identifier physical downlink shared channel dataScramblingIdentityPDSCH; a hopping identifier hoppingId; and a data scrambling identifier physical uplink shared channel dataScramblingIdentityPUSCH.

[0061] Specifically, for example, for the PDCCH, the scrambling information is pdcch-DMRS-ScramblingID, for the CSI-RS / NZP-CSI-RS, the scrambling information is ScramblingId, for the PDSCH, the scrambling information is dataScramblingIdentityPDSCH, for the PUCCH, the scrambling information is hoppingId, and for the PUSCH, the scrambling information is dataScramblingIdentityPUSCH.

[0062] Regarding the RNTI mentioned in 8) above, optionally, the RNTI includes at least one of a cell radio network temporary identifier C-RNTI, a modulation and coding scheme cell radio network temporary identifier mcs-C-RNTI, a configured scheduling radio network temporary identifier CS-RNTI, a system information radio network temporary identifier SI-RNTI, a paging radio network temporary identifier P-RNTI, a random access radio network temporary identifier RA-RNTI, and a temporary cell radio network temporary identifier TC-RNTI.

[0063] Optionally, the step of the terminal monitoring PDCCH candidates in the CSS set described in each of the above embodiments is performed when at least one of the following 1) to 7) is satisfied. 1) At least one CORESET is switched / associated with the target cell / neighbor cell, for example, the first CORESET is switched / associated with the target cell / neighbor cell, or for example, any CORESET is switched / associated with the target cell / neighbor cell. 2) A special TRP is switched / associated with a target cell / neighboring cell. In this example, a certain special TRP may be used as a criterion, and only when the special TRP is switched / associated with a target cell / neighboring cell, the execution condition of S202 may be deemed to be met, and when another TRP is switched / associated with a target cell / neighboring cell, the execution condition of S202 may not be deemed to be met. 3) The anchor node is switched / associated with the target cell / neighboring cell. 4) When the anchor node is unchanged and there are multiple TRPs, cells that are not associated with the anchor node's TRP are switched / associated with the target cell / neighbor cell. 5) The configuration information for the new cell was used. 6) The PDCCH is switched / associated with the target cell / neighboring cell. 7) The special cell (sPcell) is switched / associated with the target cell / neighbor cell.

[0064] The first CORESET mentioned in 1) above includes one of a CORESET numbered 0, a CORESET with the smallest number, a CORESET with the largest number, a CORESET associated with a common search space, a CORESET indicated by a network side device, a CORESET reported by the terminal, a CORESET associated with a special TRP, and a predefined CORESET.

[0065] The special TRP mentioned in 2) above includes one of a TRP with number 0, a TRP with the smallest number, a TRP with the largest number, a TRP associated with a common search space, a TRP indicated by a network side device, a TRP reported by the terminal, a predefined TRP, and a TRP associated with a special CORESET, and the special CORESET is the one with number 0, the one with the smallest number, the one with the largest number, or the one associated with a common search space.

[0066] Regarding the use of the new cell configuration information mentioned in 5) above, in this example, the new cell configuration information may include upper layer configuration information and physical layer configuration information; a) The higher layer configuration information includes at least one of a cell group configuration CellGroupConfig, a special cell configuration SpCellConfig, a synchronous reconfiguration ReconfigurationWithSync, a serving cell common configuration ServingCellConfigCommon, and a serving cell configuration ServingCellConfig. b) The physical layer configuration information includes at least one of Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) information, Quasi Co-Location (QCL) information, PathLoss reference RS (PL RS), Random Access Channel (RACH) resources, scrambling information, timing information, and timing advance information.

[0067] Optionally, being switched to / associated with the target cell / neighboring cell mentioned in examples 1), 2), 3), 4), 6), and 7) above includes at least one of the following a) to c): a) The cell / TRP identifier information of the target cell / neighboring cell is associated / set in the configuration information.
