Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] However, in the mask of Patent Document 1, since the cartridge is exposed, for example, when the wearer wearing this mask is working, dirt may adhere to the cartridge. The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a mask capable of preventing the cartridge from being soiled or damaged.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0005] The mask according to the present invention is a mask to which a cartridge having a filter can be attached, and has a through-hole, and a main body portion having a first opening and a second opening at both axial ends in the extending direction of the through-hole, respectively, and has a through-hole, and a first opening and a second opening at both axial ends in the extending direction of the through-hole, respectively, and a peripheral edge of the first opening is fixed to a peripheral edge of the second opening of the main body portion, and a contact portion that can contact the face of the wearer, and a cover member that is attached so as to close the first opening of the main body portion and has at least one ventilation hole formed therein. A housing space for housing the cartridge is formed between the first opening of the main body portion and the cover member so as to close the through-hole of the main body portion.
[0006] According to this configuration, a housing space capable of housing a cartridge is formed between the main body portion and the cover member. Therefore, the housed cartridge is protected by the main body portion and the cover member, so that the cartridge can be prevented from being soiled or damaged other than air filtration.
[0007] In the above mask, the main body portion can include a support surface formed along the inner periphery of the through-hole of the main body portion, and the peripheral edge portion of the cartridge can be configured to be sandwiched between the support surface of the main body portion and the cover member.
[0008] According to this configuration, since the peripheral edge portion of the cartridge is configured to be sandwiched between the cover member and the support surface of the main body portion, the cartridge can be firmly attached to the main body portion. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the formation of a gap between the cartridge and the through-hole of the main body portion, and prevent the exhalation and inhalation of the wearer from leaking from other than the filter.
[0009] In the above mask, the cover member can include a front wall portion in which the ventilation hole is formed, and a connecting portion connected to the peripheral edge of the front wall portion and detachably fixed to the peripheral edge of the first opening of the main body portion, and a gap can be formed between the front wall portion and the filter.
[0010] According to this configuration, since a gap is formed between the attached cartridge and the front wall portion of the cover member, for example, even if dirt such as liquid enters from the vent hole in the front wall portion, it can be suppressed from reaching the cartridge due to the gap.
[0011] In the above mask, the cover member can be fixed to the periphery of the first opening of the main body portion by screwing.
[0012] According to this configuration, the attachment of the cover member is easy. Also, for example, when configured to sandwich the peripheral portion of the cartridge between the cover member and the support surface of the main body portion, by screwing in the cover member, the periphery of the cartridge can be strongly pressed, so that the cartridge can be made to adhere more strongly to the support surface.
[0013] In the above mask, the contact portion protrudes from the main body portion, and the thickness of the contact portion can be made smaller than the thickness of the main body portion.
[0014] According to this configuration, by increasing the thickness of the main body portion, the cartridge can be firmly supported. On the other hand, by reducing the thickness of the contact portion, it becomes easier to deform, so the load on the wearer's face can be reduced.
[0015] In the above mask, the contact portion can have a tapered portion or a wedge-shaped portion whose thickness decreases as it approaches the second opening.
[0016] The portion of the contact portion closer to the second opening side is likely to contact the face during wearing, so by reducing the thickness, the load on the face can be reduced. On the other hand, the first opening side of the contact portion is located at a position away from the face during wearing, so by increasing the thickness, the strength can be enhanced.
[0017] In the above mask, the end portion of the contact portion on the second opening side can be formed to extend so as to bend inward in the radial direction of the through hole of the contact portion.
[0018] According to this configuration, when worn, the contact portion can be brought into contact with the wearer's face as a surface, so that high pressure can be prevented from acting on the face.
[0019] Another mask according to the present invention is a mask to which a cartridge having a filter can be detachably attached, and includes a main body portion to which the cartridge is attached and a contact portion provided on the rear side of the main body portion and contacting the wearer's face, and the main body portion and the contact portion are integrally formed.
Advantages of the Invention
[0020] According to the mask of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the cartridge from getting dirty or damaged.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0022] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the mask according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0023] <1. Outline of the Mask> FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the mask according to the present embodiment as seen from the front, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the mask of FIG. 1 as seen from the rear, FIG. 3 is a front view of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a rear view of FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 1. In the following, for convenience of explanation, the description will be made according to the directions shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. Further, in the following description, the direction in which the through holes of the main body portion and the contact portion extend may be referred to as the axial direction, and the direction orthogonal to this axial direction may be referred to as the radial direction. However, the present invention is not limited to these directions for the invention to be specified.
[0024] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, this mask includes a main body portion 1 having a through hole 10 and having a first opening 11 and a second opening 12 at both ends respectively, a cover member 4 detachably attached so as to close the first opening 11 of the main body portion 1, a contact portion 2 fixed to the periphery of the second opening 12 of the main body portion 1 and contacting the wearer's face, and a ring member 3 holding the rear side of the flange 24 of the contact portion 2. And a cartridge 5 is detachably accommodated in an accommodation space 100 formed by the main body portion 1 and the cover member 4. Hereinafter, each member will be described in detail.
[0025] <1-1. Main body portion> FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the main body portion seen from the front, FIG. 7 is a rear view of FIG. 6, and FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 6. As shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, the main body portion 1 has a through hole 10 extending in the front-rear direction, and has a first opening 11 and a second opening 12 at both the front and rear ends respectively. The first opening 11 is formed in a circular shape, but the second opening 12 is larger than the first opening 11 and is formed in a drop shape with the upper end portion protruding upward. That is, as shown in FIG. 7, the lower end and both sides of the second opening 12 are formed in an arc shape concentric with the first opening 11, but the upper end portion 111 protrudes upward and the radius of curvature of the inner edge is small. And as will be described later, the wearer's nose is to be accommodated on this upper end portion side.
[0026] Thus, since the shapes of the first opening 11 and the second opening 12 are different, as shown in FIG. 6, the side surface 13 of the main body portion 1 is formed by a curved surface gently expanding from the periphery of the first opening 11 toward the periphery of the second opening 12.
[0027] From the inner edge of the first opening 11 toward the rear, a cylindrical inner wall surface 14 with a short axial length is formed, and a flange 15 extending radially inward is formed at the lower end thereof. And a female screw 16 for attaching the cover member 4 is formed on this inner wall surface 14 as will be described later. Note that the front surface of the flange 15 corresponds to the support surface of the present invention.
[0028] On one side, at the end of the side surface 13 of the main body 1 on the second opening 12 side, there are provided a stepped portion 17 extending radially outward and an extending portion 18 extending rearward from this stepped portion 17, and the space surrounded by the extending portion 18 forms the second opening 12. Further, in the space having a rectangular cross-section formed by the stepped portion 17 and the extending portion 18, as will be described later, the flange 24 at the front end of the contact portion 2 is to be accommodated.
[0029] Also, on the outer surface of the extending portion 18, a plurality of insertion portions 19 having through-holes extending in the front-rear direction are provided. More specifically, two insertion portions 19 are formed at a predetermined interval in the vertical direction on the right side of the extending portion 18, and two insertion portions 19 are formed at a predetermined interval in the vertical direction on the left side of the extending portion 18. That is, the two insertion portions 19 on the right side and the two insertion portions 19 on the left side are provided to be symmetric with each other. And, as will be described later, a string 30 is inserted into the through-holes of these insertion portions 19.
[0030] The main body 1 is integrally formed of a resin material or the like so as to have the above-described parts. As the resin material, a resin material that can be washed and sterilized and can withstand repeated use is preferable, and for example, a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, a polyurethane-based resin, a polyamide synthetic resin, an unsaturated polyester resin material, a silicone resin material, or a urea resin material can be adopted.
[0031] <1-2. Contact portion> FIG. 9 is a perspective view of the contact portion as seen from the front, FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the contact portion of FIG. 9 as seen from the rear, FIG. 11 is a longitudinal sectional view of FIG. 9, and FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 9. As shown in FIGS. 9 to 12, the contact portion 2 is designed to correspond to the surface shape of the wearer's face. The contact portion 2 has a through hole 20 extending in the front-rear direction, and has a first opening 21 and a second opening 22 at both front and rear ends thereof, respectively. A flange 24 extending radially outward is formed at the edge of the first opening 21, and this flange 24 is formed in a shape corresponding to the second opening 12 of the main body portion 1. As will be described later, this flange 24 is disposed on the rear surface of the stepped portion 17 of the main body portion 1. However, the width of the flange 24 is narrower than the width of the stepped portion 17.
[0032] The side surface 23 of the contact portion 2 has a first portion 231 extending rearward from the first opening 21, and a second portion 232 that bends arcuately from the rear end of the first portion 231 and extends radially inward. And the space surrounded by the inner edge of the second portion 232 forms the second opening 22. The second portion 232 projects radially inward, and since this second portion 232 contacts the wearer's face as a surface, it is possible to suppress a high pressure from acting on the face. Also, as will be described later, since the contact portion 2 is formed of a relatively soft material that is easily deformed, it is easily deformed along the shape of the wearer's face. Thus, the shape of the contact portion 2 is an important shape for realizing its function in view of the use of the mask because it contacts the surface of the wearer's face.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 10, the central portion in the left-right direction at the upper part of the second portion 232 is recessed forward. Similarly, the central portion in the left-right direction at the lower part of the second portion 232 is recessed forward. Thereby, at the time of wearing, due to the elastic restoring force of the string 30 (see FIG. 21) made of an elastic member described later, the upper part of the contact portion 2 contacts the wearer's nose, and the lower part contacts the wearer's jaw. The nose and the jaw protrude forward compared to the cheeks, and when the mask is worn, a high pressure is likely to act. Therefore, by recessing the upper and lower parts of the contact portion 2 forward, it is possible to suppress a high pressure from acting on the nose and the jaw.
[0034] As shown in FIG. 11, the upper and lower portions of the second part 232 are curved so as to be drawn in toward the front side and the radially inner side. By curving in this way, the shape corresponding to the nose and the jaw is obtained, and it becomes easy to adhere to the nose and the jaw.
[0035] On the other hand, the left and right portions of the second part 232 contact the wearer's cheeks. As shown in FIG. 12, the left and right portions of the second part 232 are not as drawn in forward as the upper and lower portions, and extend in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of the through hole toward the radially inner side. Therefore, since the rear surface of the second part 232 contacts the wearer's cheeks substantially entirely, the pressure acting on the cheeks can be reduced as compared with the case where the rear edge of the second part 232 contacts, and the second part 232 becomes easy to adhere to the cheeks.
[0036] As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, when the thickness on the first part 231 side of the contact part 2 is d1 and the thickness on the tip side of the second part 232 (in other words, the rear end side of the contact part 2) is d2, d2 < d1. That is, the contact part 2 has a tapered or wedge shape in which the thickness on the rear end side is smaller than the thickness on the front end side (the first opening 21 side), and gradually becomes smaller toward the rear end side. That is, the contact part 2 has a tapered part or a wedge part. The part close to the rear end side of the contact part 2 (for example, the second part 232) is likely to contact the face during wearing, so the thickness is reduced to reduce the load on the face. On the other hand, since the first opening 21 side of the contact part 2 is located at a position away from the face during wearing, the thickness is increased to enhance the strength. The above-mentioned thicknesses d1 and d2 depend on the material forming the contact part 2. For example, as long as d2 < d1, d1 can be 1.0 to 8.0 mm and d2 can be 0.5 to 4.0 mm, and more preferably d1 can be 1.5 to 6.0 mm and d2 can be 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm. Note that the contact part 2 may be formed in a tapered or wedge shape as a whole, or may be formed in a tapered or wedge shape partially, such as only the second part 232. Also, the thickness of the contact part 2 can be made smaller than the thickness of the main body part 1 at least in part. For example, the thickness of the contact part 2 can be made smaller than that of the main body part 1 throughout, or only the thickness of the second part 232 can be made smaller than that of the main body part 1.
[0037] The material constituting the contact part 2 is not particularly limited, but it is preferably a material having flexibility and easily deforming during wearing. On the other hand, since the main body part 1 supports the cartridge and the cover member 4 is screwed, it is preferably a material that is difficult to deform, but the contact part 2 is preferably a material having a lower hardness than the main body part 1. As such a material, for example, polyurethane-based resins, polyamide-based resins, silicone resin materials such as silicone rubber, fluororesins, elastomers, etc. can be adopted.
[0038] <1-3. Connection structure between main body part and contact part>
[0039] The ring member 3 is a thin plate-shaped member having a shape in plan view substantially the same as that of the flange 24 of the contact portion 2. However, the width of the ring member 3 is slightly wider than that of the flange 24 and extends slightly radially outward from the flange 24. Further, the ring member 3 is integrally formed of the same material as the main body portion 1, and the flange 24 of the contact portion 2 is sandwiched between the stepped portion 17 of the main body portion 1 and the ring member 3.
[0040] <1-4. Cover member> FIG. 13 is a perspective view of the cover member, and FIG. 14 is a rear view of the cover member. As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the cover member 4 includes a disc-shaped front wall portion 41, a cylindrical side wall portion 42 extending rearward from the peripheral edge of the front wall portion 41, and a cylindrical connecting portion 43 extending rearward from the rear end of the side wall portion 42. A circular portion is formed near the center of the front wall portion 41, and a plurality of ventilation holes 411 are formed radially around it. Each ventilation hole 411 is formed in a generally arc shape. By forming the ventilation holes 411 in an arc shape, it is difficult for the user to touch the cartridge, and appropriate ventilation can be performed. For example, the width 411 of the ventilation hole is not particularly limited, but can be, for example, about 0.5 to 5 mm. The side wall portion 42 is formed so that its diameter increases rearward, and substantially rectangular recesses 421 arranged in the circumferential direction are formed on its outer surface. These recesses 421 function as finger placement portions that serve as anti-slip when rotating the cover member 4 by hand. Further, the outer diameter of the connecting portion 43 is formed smaller than the outer diameter of the rear end of the side wall portion 42, and a male screw 431 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the connecting portion 43. This male screw 431 is screwed into the female screw 16 of the main body portion 1.
[0041] <1-5. Cartridge> FIG. 15 is a perspective view of the cartridge, and FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view of the cartridge. As shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, the cartridge 5 includes a filter 51 formed in a rectangular shape, and a fixing portion 52 connected to the outer periphery of the filter 51 and having a disk-shaped outer shape. The filter 51 can be, for example, a filter equivalent to the N95 standard, that is, a filter capable of collecting 95% or more of particles with an aerodynamic mass diameter of 0.3 μm in a collection efficiency test. Note that the filter 51 is not limited to a filter equivalent to the N95 standard, and filters equivalent to the N99, N100, R95, R99, R100, P95, P99, or P100 standards may be used. As the filter 51, for example, a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter can be used, but it is not limited thereto.
[0042] The fixing portion 52 is formed of, for example, a resin material, and its outer diameter is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the flange 15 of the main body portion 1. Therefore, when the cartridge 5 is placed on the flange 15 of the main body portion 1, the peripheral edge of the fixing portion 52 is disposed on the flange 15, and the through hole 10 of the main body portion 1 extending in the front-rear direction can be blocked.
[0043] <2. Method of Assembling the Mask> Next, a method for assembling the mask formed as described above will be described with reference to FIGS. 17 and 18. First, as shown in FIGS. 17 and 18, the cartridge 5 is placed on the flange 15 of the main body 1. Subsequently, the cover member 4 is attached to the main body 1. At this time, as shown in FIG. 5, the rear end portion of the connecting portion 43 of the cover member 4 is disposed on the fixing portion 52 of the cartridge 5, and with this fixing portion 52 interposed therebetween, the rear end portion of the connecting portion 43 is disposed at a position facing the flange 15. Therefore, when the cover member 4 is screwed onto the main body 1, the connecting portion 43 presses the fixing portion 52 of the cartridge 5 against the flange 15. As a result, the fixing portion 52 of the cartridge 5 adheres airtightly to the flange 15, and the through hole 10 of the main body 1 is blocked by the cartridge 5. In this state, a gap is formed between the cartridge 5 and the front wall portion 41 of the cover member 4. When replacing the cartridge 5, the cover member 4 may be removed from the main body 1, and subsequently, the cartridge 5 may be replaced.
[0044] <3. Method of Using the Mask> In use, as shown in FIG. 19, a string 30 having an elastic force is inserted into the through hole of the insertion portion 19. Adjusters 31 are attached to the ends of the strings 30 extending from each of the upper two insertion portions 19. Also, adjusters 31 are attached to the ends of the strings 30 extending from each of the lower two insertion portions 19. The strings 30 and the adjusters 31 form two annular portions, and the wearer's head is inserted inside these two annular portions. The wearer can operate the adjuster 31 to adjust the size of the annular portion.
[0045] Also, after use, it is preferable to wash and sterilize the cover member 4 and the mask body. Examples of sterilization methods include boiling disinfection, autoclave sterilization, ethylene oxide gas sterilization, radiation sterilization (gamma ray sterilization), ultraviolet sterilization, and sterilization with a disinfectant such as formaldehyde. From the viewpoints of ease of operation and certainty of sterilization, autoclave sterilization is more preferable.
[0046] <4. Features> The mask configured as described above has the following features. (1) Since the through-hole 10 of the main body 1 is blocked by the cartridge 5, as shown by the arrow in Fig. 5, the mouth and nose of the wearer communicate with the outside through the filter 51 of the cartridge 5 and the ventilation holes 411 of the cover member 4. Therefore, not only the intake air of the wearer but also the exhaled air of the wearer is filtered by the filter 51. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the wearer from inhaling particles such as viruses from the outside. On the other hand, for example, even if the wearer is infected with a virus, the virus or the like contained in the exhaled air can be captured by the filter 51. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the spread of virus infection.
[0047] (2) Since the cartridge 5 is covered by the cover member 4, for example, even if a liquid such as blood or foreign matter adheres to the cover member 4 during the work of the wearer, it is possible to prevent this from reaching the cartridge 5. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the performance of the filter 51 from deteriorating due to the adhesion of foreign matter other than fine particles during work. In particular, since a gap is formed between the cartridge 5 housed in the accommodation space 100 and the front wall portion 41 of the cover member 4, it is possible to further prevent the adhesion of foreign matter to the cartridge 5. In addition, it is possible to prevent the cartridge from being damaged by an external force.
[0048] (3) By screwing in the cover member 4, the fixing portion 52 of the cartridge 5 can be pressed against the flange 15 of the main body 1, so that the cartridge 5 can be firmly adhered to the main body 1. Therefore, it is possible to prevent exhaled air and inhaled air from passing through other than the filter 51.
[0049] (4) Since the contact portion 2 is formed as described above, it is possible to easily adhere to the face of the wearer, and it is possible to prevent exhaled air and inhaled air from leaking between the face of the wearer and the contact portion 2.
[0050] <5. Modification Example> As described above, one embodiment of the present invention has been explained. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit thereof. Note that the following modification examples can be combined as appropriate.
[0051] (1) The structure of the cartridge 5 is not particularly limited as long as it has a filter and is configured to be accommodated in the accommodation space 100 formed by the main body part 1 and the cover member 4 so as to block the through-hole 10 of the main body part 1. It is preferable that a gap is formed between the front wall part 41 of the cover member 4 and the cartridge 5, but they may be in contact with each other. Therefore, the configuration of the filter 51 is not particularly limited, and any filter that can capture particles according to requirements may be used. For example, a plurality of filter layers may be laminated.
[0052] Also, a plurality of cartridges may be manufactured using a plurality of filters having different densities. In this case, the wearer can select a cartridge having an appropriate filter density corresponding to the use environment. Also, the color of the fixing part in the cartridge may be different according to the density of the filter. This is to prevent the wearer from selecting a cartridge having a filter density that does not correspond to the use environment.
[0053] (2) The fixing method between the main body part 1 and the contact part 2 may be other than the above-described embodiment. Therefore, the main body part 1 and a separate ring member 3 may be fixed using an adhesive, and the flange 24 of the contact part 2 may be sandwiched therebetween. Also, without using the ring member 3, the main body part 1 and the contact part 2 can be directly fixed by an adhesive or welding.
[0054] Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 20, the main body part 1 and the contact part 2 can be integrally formed of the same resin material. In the example of FIG. 2022, a reinforcing rib 28 that protrudes radially outward is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the connecting portion between the main body part 1 and the contact part 2, and the thickness of the connecting portion is increased. However, the reinforcing rib is not necessarily required.
[0055] A method for manufacturing the mask body in this case will be described with reference to FIG. 21. FIG. 23 is a flowchart showing the manufacturing process of the mask body. First, three-dimensional data of the mask body based on the surface shape of the face is created (S1). It is preferable to measure the individual face of the user who uses the mask for this surface shape of the face, but existing data may also be used. Next, a mold for manufacturing the mask body is produced by stereolithography (S2). At this time, a mold characterized by the shape of the mask body shown in the above embodiment is produced.
[0056] Next, the raw material resin is injected into the produced mold (S3). The resin material is not limited as long as it can be cured from a liquid state and molded, but a resin material that can be washed and sterilized and can withstand repeated use is preferable. For example, a polyurethane resin material can be used. Note that it is not limited to a polyurethane resin material, and other resin materials such as an unsaturated polyester resin material, a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, a fluororesin, an elastomer, a silicone resin material, or a urea resin material may be used. Next, the resin agent injected into the mold is cured (S4). It is cured by a curing method according to the resin material. For example, heat is applied to the resin material to cure it. Next, the cured resin material is taken out of the mold (S5), and the surplus portion is removed (S6), and the mask body is manufactured.
[0057] When manufacturing mask bodies of different dimensions, a plurality of molds corresponding to the different dimensions may be produced. In this case, different colors may be attached to each dimension so that each dimension can be easily distinguished.
[0058] In the above method for manufacturing the mask body, the main body portion 1 and the contact portion 2 are integrally formed by a resin material. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a gap from occurring between the main body portion 1 and the contact portion 2.
[0059] In this manufacturing method, a mold for manufacturing the mask body by stereolithography is being manufactured, but the manufacturing method of this mold is an example, and a mold manufacturing method other than stereolithography may also be used. For example, it can be by machining, electroforming, or the like. This mold may be a metal mold or a resin mold.
[0060] (3) The shape of the contact portion 2 in the above embodiment is an example, and as long as it can be in close contact with the wearer's face, the shape including the thickness is not particularly limited. Also, the shape of the main body portion 1 is not particularly limited either. As long as it has the shape with the through hole 10, the outer shape is not particularly limited.
[0061] (4) In the above embodiment, the cover member 4 is screwed to the main body portion 1, but it is not limited thereto. As long as it can be detachably attached, other fixing methods such as snap type can be adopted. Also, the shape of the cover member 4 is not particularly limited. Therefore, the shape of the accommodation space 100 of the cartridge 5 formed by the main body portion 1 and the cover member 4 when viewed from the front may not be circular, and the outer shape of the cartridge 5 may be adjusted accordingly.
