AI Technical Summary
Thread entanglement occurs in spinning reels when insufficient tension is applied to the fishing line, leading to entanglement with the spool or bail support member, and existing solutions like anti-thread-entanglement members are inadequate.
A thread guiding mechanism with a bail support member, fixed shaft, line roller, bail, cover member, and protrusion member, featuring a thread tangling prevention portion disposed closer to the fixed shaft axis than the cover member, reducing the gap between the line roller and the protrusion to prevent looped winding and entanglement.
The mechanism effectively suppresses thread entanglement by squeezing the fishing line to prevent looped winding around the spool and reduces the likelihood of entanglement with the spool or bail support member, with adjustable gaps for different line diameters.

Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a thread guiding mechanism of a spinning reel.
Background Art
[0002] A spinning reel is provided with a thread guiding mechanism for guiding fishing line to a spool. The thread guiding mechanism is swingably connected to a pair of rotor arms. The thread guiding mechanism has a bail, a bail support member, a fixed shaft, and a line roller. The bail is supported by the bail support member and guides the fishing line to the line roller. The bail support member is swingably connected to the rotor arm. The line roller is rotatably supported by the fixed shaft and guides the fishing line to the spool (see Patent Document 1).
[0003] When the fishing line is guided to the spool by the line roller, if sufficient tension is not acting on the fishing line, the fishing line will separate from the line roller and thread entanglement will occur. Furthermore, there is a risk that the fishing line will become entangled with the spool or the bail support member. To solve this problem, for example, Patent Document 1 discloses a configuration in which an anti-thread-entanglement member is provided on the bail support member.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0005] In a spinning reel, a thread guiding mechanism in which thread entanglement is less likely to occur is desired, and further improvement of the thread guiding mechanism is desired.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a thread guiding mechanism of a spinning reel in which thread entanglement is less likely to occur.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0007] The thread guiding mechanism of the spinning reel according to one aspect of the present invention is swingably connected to a pair of rotor arms and guides fishing line to a spool. The thread guiding mechanism includes a bail support member, a fixed shaft, a line roller, a bail, a cover member, and a protrusion member. The bail support member is swingably connected to one of the pair of rotor arms. The fixed shaft is fixed to the bail support member. The line roller is rotatably supported by the fixed shaft and guides fishing line to the spool. One end of the bail is supported by the bail support member via the fixed shaft and guides fishing line to the line roller. The cover member is provided at one end of the bail and covers a part of the line roller. The protrusion member is provided on the bail support member. The protrusion member has a thread tangling prevention portion. The thread tangling prevention portion has a first portion that extends in the axial direction of the fixed shaft and is disposed opposite to the line roller at a position closer to the axis of the fixed shaft than the outer peripheral surface of the cover member in the radial direction of the fixed shaft.
[0008] In this thread guiding mechanism of the spinning reel, since the first portion of the thread tangling prevention portion is disposed opposite to the line roller at a position closer to the axis of the fixed shaft than the outer peripheral surface of the cover member, the gap between the line roller and the thread tangling prevention portion can be reduced. As a result, the fishing line that has fallen off the line roller is squeezed by the thread tangling prevention portion, so that it is possible to suppress the fishing line from being wound around the spool in a looped state. Thereby, it is possible to provide a thread guiding mechanism of a spinning reel in which thread tangling is less likely to occur.
[0009] The thread tangling prevention portion may be in the shape of a fin and may be capable of bending when pushed by the fishing line. In this case, it is possible to prevent the knot of the fishing line from being caught in the gap between the line roller and the thread tangling prevention portion.
[0010] The shortest distance between the line roller and the first portion may be 1 mm or less. In this case, it is possible to further suppress the fishing line from being wound around the spool in a looped state.
[0011] The veil support member may have a groove portion extending in the axial direction of the fixed shaft. The protruding member may further have an insertion portion to be inserted into the groove portion, and may be detachably attached to the veil support member. In this case, it becomes possible to attach another protruding member having a different length to the veil support member. That is, since the gap between the line roller and the fluff prevention portion can be adjusted, fluffing can be effectively suppressed even when the diameter of the fishing line used is changed.
[0012] The insertion portion may be press-fitted and fixed into the groove portion. The protruding member may further have a hooking portion for hooking a tool for pulling out the insertion portion from the groove portion. In this case, the protruding member can be easily attached to and detached from the veil support member.
[0013] The thread guiding mechanism may be inserted into the veil support member from a direction different from the axial direction of the fixed shaft, and may further include a retaining member for preventing the insertion portion from coming out of the groove portion. In this case, the protruding member can be prevented from coming out of the veil support member with a simple configuration.
[0014] The retaining member may be a pin member having a head. The head may be pressed by the mating surface with the veil support member in a pair of rotor arms. In this case, the number of parts can be reduced. Also, the appearance is improved.
[0015] One of the veil support member and the protruding member may have a protrusion protruding in a direction different from the axial direction. The other of the veil support member and the protruding member may have a hole portion into which the protrusion fits. The protruding member may be prevented from coming out of the veil support member by the protrusion and the hole portion. Even in this case, the protruding member can be prevented from coming out of the veil support member with a simple configuration.
[0016] The protruding member may further have an arm portion formed so as to hold a part of the veil support member at one end of the insertion portion. The veil support member may have an engaging portion with which the tip of the arm portion engages. In this case, the protruding member can be prevented from coming out of the veil support member with a simple configuration, and the protruding member can be easily attached to and detached from the veil support member.
[0017] The protruding member may further have a second portion that is disposed opposite to the cover member at a position farther from the axis of the fixed shaft than the first portion in the radial direction of the fixed shaft. In this case, since the second portion is disposed opposite to the cover member, it is possible to prevent the fishing line that has fallen off the line roller from getting caught on the veil support member or the spool.
[0018] The shortest distance between the cover member and the second portion may be 1 mm or less. In this case, it is possible to further prevent the fishing line from being wound around the spool in a looped state.
Advantages of the Invention
[0019] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a thread guiding mechanism for a spinning reel in which thread entanglement is less likely to occur.

[0022] The reel body 2 has an internal space, and a well-known oscillating mechanism, a rotor driving mechanism, etc. are accommodated in the internal space.
[0023] The spool 3 is a member around which a fishing line is wound on the outer periphery. The spool 3 reciprocates in the front-rear direction of the reel body 2 as the handle 5 rotates.
[0024] The rotor 4 is a member for winding a fishing line around the spool 3. The rotor 4 has a rotor main body portion 4a, a first rotor arm 4b, and a second rotor arm 4c. The first rotor arm 4b and the second rotor arm 4c are an example of a pair of rotor arms, and are formed at positions facing each other with the rotor main body portion 4a interposed therebetween on the side of the rotor main body portion 4a. The rotor 4 rotates about the central axis of the spool 3 as the handle 5 rotates.
[0025] The handle 5 is rotatably supported by the reel body 2.
[0026] The thread guiding mechanism 6 rotates about the central axis of the spool 3 together with the rotor 4 and guides the fishing line to the spool 3. The thread guiding mechanism 6 is swingably connected to the first rotor arm 4b and the second rotor arm 4c so as to be able to take a thread winding posture and a thread releasing posture. The thread winding posture is the posture when winding the fishing line around the spool 3, and the thread releasing posture is the posture when paying out the fishing line wound around the spool 3.
[0027] Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the yarn guiding mechanism 6. Figures 3 and 4 are perspective views of the yarn guiding mechanism 6. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the yarn guiding mechanism 6 includes a first bobbin support member 11, a second bobbin support member 12, a fixed shaft 13, a line roller 14, a bobbin 15, and a cover member 16. It also includes a protruding member 17. In the following description, the direction in which the axis A of the fixed shaft 13 extends is referred to as the axial direction, the direction orthogonal to the axial direction is referred to as the radial direction, and the direction around the axis A is referred to as the circumferential direction.
[0028] The first bobbin support member 11 is swingably mounted at the tip of the first rotor arm 4b. The second bobbin support member 12 is swingably mounted at the tip of the second rotor arm 4c.
[0029] Figure 5 is a perspective view of the first bobbin support member 11. The first bobbin support member 11 has a cover portion 21, a mounting portion 22, and an extension portion 23. The cover portion 21 is disposed at the front end of the first bobbin support member 11. The cover portion 21 covers a part of the line roller 14 as shown in FIG. 2. The cover portion 21 has a through hole 21a penetrating in the axial direction.
[0030] The mounting portion 22 is disposed at the rear end of the first bobbin support member 11 and is swingably mounted on the first rotor arm 4b.
[0031] The extension portion 23 extends in the front-rear direction and connects the cover portion 21 and the mounting portion 22. The extension portion 23 has a housing portion 23a and a groove portion 23b. The housing portion 23a is provided inside the extension portion 23 facing the outer peripheral surface of the spool 3. The housing portion 23a opens in the axial direction from the side of the first bobbin support member 11 toward the side of the cover member 16. The housing portion 23a extends in the front-rear direction. The housing portion 23a is formed such that the width of the opening increases as it approaches the cover portion 21 from the mounting portion 22.
[0032] The groove portion 23b is provided on the rear end side of the accommodating portion 23a. The groove portion 23b communicates with the accommodating space of the accommodating portion 23a. The groove portion 23b extends in the axial direction. The groove portion 23b has a substantially T-shaped cross section orthogonal to the axial direction. The groove portion 23b opens in a direction toward the outer peripheral surface of the spool 3.
[0033] The fixed shaft 13 is fixed to the first bail support member 11. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, the fixed shaft 13 is screwed to a fixing bolt 41 inserted through a through hole 21a of the first bail support member 11 and is fixed to the first bail support member 11. The fixed shaft 13 penetrates the cover member 16 in the axial direction.
[0034] The line roller 14 is rotatably supported by the fixed shaft 13 and guides the fishing line to the spool 3. Specifically, the line roller 14 is supported by the fixed shaft 13 via bearings 42a and 42b mounted on the fixed shaft 13 and rotates around the axis A.
[0035] The line roller 14 has a first cylindrical portion 14a, a second cylindrical portion 14b, and a thread guide groove 14c. The first cylindrical portion 14a is disposed close to the cover member 16. The first cylindrical portion 14a extends in the axial direction. The outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical portion 14a linearly extends such that the outer diameter decreases as it approaches the thread guide groove 14c. A bearing 42a is disposed on the inner peripheral portion of the first cylindrical portion 14a.
[0036] The second cylindrical portion 14b is disposed close to the first bail support member 11. The second cylindrical portion 14b extends in the axial direction. The outer end of the second cylindrical portion 14b is covered by the cover portion 21. The outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion 14b linearly extends such that the outer diameter decreases as it approaches the thread guide groove 14c. A bearing 42b is disposed on the inner peripheral portion of the second cylindrical portion 14b.
[0037] The thread guide groove 14c is disposed between the first cylindrical portion 14a and the second cylindrical portion 14b. The thread guide groove 14c is radially inward of the outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical portion 14a and the outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion 14b. It is formed to be recessed on the side. The thread guide groove 14c extends in the circumferential direction.
[0038] The veil 15 has a shape in which the wire rod is bent into a substantially U shape. One end of the veil 15 is supported by the first veil support member 11 via the fixed shaft 13, and the other end is supported by the second veil support member 12. The veil 15 is swingably supported by the first veil support member 11 and the second veil support member 12, and guides the fishing line to the line roller 14.
[0039] The cover member 16 is provided at one end of the veil 15 and covers a part of the line roller 14. The cover member 16 has a substantially cylindrical shape and is fixed to one end of the veil 15. As shown in FIG. 2, the outer diameter of the cover member 16 is larger than the outer diameter of the first cylindrical portion 14a. The cover member 16 is arranged so as to cover the outer end of the first cylindrical portion 14a. The outer peripheral surface 16a of the cover member 16 guides the fishing line to the line roller 14.
[0040] FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the protruding member 17. The protruding member 17 is provided on the first veil support member 11. Specifically, the protruding member 17 has a substantially plate shape and is detachably attached to the first veil support member 11.
[0041] The protruding member 17 has a fluff prevention portion 31, a thread guiding portion 32, a plug-in portion 33, and an arm portion 34.
[0042] As shown in FIG. 3, the fluff prevention portion 31 is formed in a stepped shape in the axial direction. The fluff prevention portion 31 has a fin shape, and a part of it is accommodated in the accommodation portion 23a. The fluff prevention portion 31 can be bent when pushed by the fishing line. Specifically, the fluff prevention portion 31 is formed of, for example, a resin with low rigidity. When the fluff prevention portion 31 is pushed by the knot of the fishing line, it can be bent in the width direction of the accommodation portion 23a. Thereby, even when the knot of the fishing line is larger than the gap between the line roller 14 and the fluff prevention portion 31, it is possible to prevent the knot of the fishing line from being caught in the gap between the line roller 14 and the fluff prevention portion 31.
[0043] The yarn fluff prevention part 31 has a first part 31a, a second part 31b, and a connecting part 31c. The first part 31a is arranged to face the line roller 14 at a position closer to the axis A of the fixed shaft 13 than the outer peripheral surface 16a of the cover member 16 in the radial direction. Specifically, the first part 31a is arranged to face the first cylindrical part 14a, the second cylindrical part 14b, and the yarn guiding groove 14c in the radial direction. The first part 31a extends substantially parallel to the axial direction. A gap is provided between the first part 31a and the line roller 14.
[0044] Figure 7 is an enlarged view of the periphery of the yarn fluff prevention part 31 in Figure 3. The shortest distance D1 between the line roller 14 and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less. It is more preferable that the shortest distance between the first cylindrical part 14a and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less. It is even more preferable that the longest distance between the first cylindrical part 14a and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less. That is, it is even more preferable that the gap between the first cylindrical part 14a and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less throughout. Also, it is preferable that the shortest distance between the second cylindrical part 14b and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less, and it is even more preferable that the gap between the second cylindrical part 14b and the first part 31a is 1 mm or less throughout.
[0045] The second part 31b is arranged to face the cover member 16 at a position farther from the axis A than the first part 31a in the radial direction. The second part 31b extends in a direction approaching the axis A as it approaches the first part 31a. The shortest distance D2 between the cover member 16 and the second part 31b is 1 mm or less. It is more preferable that the gap between the cover member 16 and the second part 31b is 1 mm or less throughout.
[0046] The connecting part 31c is arranged between the first part 31a and the second part 31b and connects the first part 31a and the second part 31b. The shortest distance D3 between the connecting part 31c and the cover member 16 is 1 mm or less. It is more preferable that the gap between the connecting part 31c and the cover member 16 is 1 mm or less throughout.
[0047] The fishing line guiding portion 32 guides the fishing line to the line roller 14. The fishing line guiding portion 32 extends in the direction toward the line roller 14. The fishing line guiding portion 32 is connected to the second portion 31b of the line tangling prevention portion 31.
[0048] The insertion portion 33 has a shape corresponding to the groove portion 23b and is detachably inserted into the groove portion 23b. When the insertion portion 33 is fitted into the groove portion 23b, the radial movement of the protruding member 17 is restricted.
[0049] As shown in FIG. 6, the arm portion 34 is provided at one end of the insertion portion 33. The arm portion 34 is formed so as to hold a part of the first bail support member 11. Specifically, the arm portion 34 has a substantially C-shaped configuration and is formed so as to hold a part of the wall portion 23c that partitions the housing portion 23a of the first bail support member 11. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the proximal end of the arm portion 34 is fitted into a recess 23d provided in the wall portion 23c. The recess 23d is recessed in the axial direction at a position adjacent to the opening of the groove portion 23b. The distal end of the arm portion 34 is engaged with an engaging portion 23e provided in the wall portion 23c. The engaging portion 23e is recessed in the wall portion 23c in the direction toward the housing portion 23a. A locking projection 34a is provided at the distal end of the arm portion 34, and when the locking projection 34a is engaged with the engaging portion 23e, the protruding member 17 is prevented from coming out of the groove portion 23b.
[0050] In the fishing line guiding mechanism 6 of the spinning reel 100 having the above-described configuration, since the line tangling prevention portion 31 is formed in a stepped shape in the axial direction of the fixed shaft 13 by the first portion 31a and the second portion 31b of the line tangling prevention portion 31, the gap between the line roller 14 and the line tangling prevention portion 31 can be reduced. As a result, the fishing line that has fallen off the line roller 14 is squeezed by the line tangling prevention portion 31, so that it can be suppressed that the fishing line is wound around the spool 3 in a looped state. Further, since the second portion 31b is disposed to face the cover member 16, it can be suppressed that the fishing line that has fallen off the line roller 14 gets entangled with the first bail support member 11 or the spool 3.
[0051] In addition, since the lint prevention portion 31 is formed in a stepped shape in the axial direction of the fixed shaft 13, the intrusion path of the fishing line from the veil 15, the cover member 16, or the thread guide portion 32 to the line roller 14 is not straight. Further, the shortest distance D1 between the line roller 14 and the first portion 31a is 1 mm or less, and the shortest distance D3 between the connecting portion 31c and the cover member 16 is 1 mm or less. For this reason, in the thread guiding mechanism 6, lint is less likely to occur than before. In addition, when the gaps between the first cylindrical portion 14a and the first portion 31a, and between the cover member 16 and the second portion 31b are made 1 mm or less, lint is even less likely to occur.
[0052] Here, the gap between the lint prevention portion 31 and the line roller 14 that can effectively suppress lint varies according to the diameter of the fishing line wound around the spool 3. In the present embodiment, the protruding member 17 is detachably attached to the first veil support member 11. For this reason, when the diameter of the fishing line to be used changes, by attaching another protruding member having only a different length to the first veil support member 11, the gap between the line roller 14 and the lint prevention portion 31 can be adjusted. Thereby, in the thread guiding mechanism 6, lint can be effectively suppressed even when the diameter of the fishing line to be used is changed.
[0053] <Other Embodiments> As described above, one embodiment of the present invention has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the invention. In particular, the plurality of embodiments described in this specification can be arbitrarily combined as needed.
[0054] In the above embodiment, the protruding member 17 is separate from the first veil support member 11, but the protruding member 17 may be integral with the first veil support member 11.
[0055] The shape and material of the protruding member 17 are not limited to those of the above-described embodiment. For example, the thread guiding portion 32 may be omitted. Also, the shortest distance D1 between the line roller 14 and the first portion 31a does not have to be 1 mm or less, and the shortest distance D2 between the cover member 16 and the second portion 31b does not have to be 1 mm or less. Further, the shortest distance D3 between the cover member 16 and the connecting portion 31c does not have to be 1 mm or less.
[0056] The arm portion 34 of the protruding member 17 was engaged with the engaging portion 23e of the first veil support member 11 to prevent the protruding member 17 from coming off the first veil support member 11, but the arm portion 34 may be omitted. For example, the insertion portion 33 may be press-fitted and fixed into the groove portion 23b to prevent the protruding member 17 from coming off the first veil support member 11. In this case, as shown in FIG. 8, a hooking portion 35 for hooking a tool for pulling out the insertion portion 33 from the groove portion 23b may be provided on the protruding member 17. The hooking portion 35 may be, for example, a through hole penetrating in the axial direction.
[0057] A protrusion protruding in a direction different from the axial direction may be provided on either the first veil support member 11 or the protruding member 17, and a hole portion into which the protrusion fits may be provided on the other of the first veil support member 11 and the protruding member 17, and the protruding member 17 may be prevented from coming off the first veil support member 11 by the protrusion and the hole portion. For example, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, a protrusion 36 may be provided on the insertion portion 33 of the protruding member 17, and a hole portion 23f that fits the protrusion 36 may be provided on the wall portion 23c of the first veil support member 11.
[0058] As shown in FIG. 11, the protruding member 17 may be prevented from coming off the first veil support member 11 by a retaining member 44 that is inserted into the first veil support member 11 from a direction different from the axial direction. The retaining member 44 is, for example, a wood screw and may be inserted through an insertion hole (not shown) provided in the wall portion 23c of the first veil support member 11. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 12, the retaining member 44 may be a pin member having a head portion 44a. In this case, the head portion 44a of the retaining member 44 may be pressed by the mating surface 4d with the mounting portion 22 of the first veil support member 11 in the first rotor arm 4b.
[0059] The second part 31b of the yarn fluff prevention part 31 may be omitted. In this case, for example, as shown in FIG. 13, the yarn guiding part 132 may be connected to the first part 31a of the yarn fluff prevention part 31. In this case, the shortest distance between the cover member 16 and the yarn guiding part 132 is preferably 1 mm or less.
